Dear All,

I am very sad to let you know that Xochi, long time member of this forum passed away on Thursday. I'm a close friend, but we always called each other 'sis'.

This forum and members meant so much to her. She was a dear, bright, witty woman. Kind and compassionate. A dear, dear friend and contributor.

She joined the channel 4 big brother forum in 2008. A Darnell fan. We had such fun on the forum that year.

She has followed the Big Brother forum on Gaga since channel 4 one folded.

I feel the loss so deeply. I'm sure you will share the sense of loss.

Rest in peace my dearest sis. ïŋ―ïŋ―

Thank you so much Lori,

Xochi always spoke very highly of you and of the forum in general. She was very loyal to it and it was where she always touched base. She was a real political animal : ).  I know she would have followed election night via Gaga... but that's the day she passed.

She had brittle bones from birth. But she led a full life. An extraordinary person. Her mind was clear, lively, incredibly bright, and funny. I met her on Big Brother Channel 4. Nither of us had sisters...plenty of brothers...so we called each other sis. She was in and out of hospital the last couple of years. We didn't get to speak to each other  as often as we would have wished. But when she could, we would chat and my heart lifted to hear her full of life.

But I digress. Gaga, you, the forum members were very important to her.

Thank you for letting us know.

I had become used to Xochi's temporary absences over the last couple of years and knew she didn't keep well - but this is still a terrible shock.

She was a clever, witty and friendly lady and will be missed by lots of people on here, including me.

My sincere condolences to you, Xochi's Sis, and to her family and friends.

She really was a Goddess, god love her.  I admired her, she was witty, smart, extremely good fun (Go the Madsen Maniacs!) and a truly decent person.

I knew she had many health problems - more than she lightly expanded about on here, and yet she never complained or looked for attention when things weren't going so well. A real good 'un and a great loss.

Condolences to all friends and family; RIP dear Xochi xxx

Oh, this is sad news indeed

I remember the thread that she first posted in (but I can't find it) where everone was asking how to pronounce her name ... I remember Rafe saying that it was too difficult and he was going to call her Pam, as many of us did for quite a while!

A lovely lady

I think this is the thread you were trying to find:

(as it's an old thread, the forum smileys aren't showing and are replaced with their names in a column)

I am so sad to hear the news Xochi's sis, but grateful that you let us all know.

Reading the posts above, it's quite clear how much Xochi was loved by forum members. Her funny side was clear to everyone who engaged in chat and we can all see she was bright as a button.

One of the things I always enjoyed was the way she twisted and contorted my forum name into other funny and interesting combinations. I was also pleased to find out in one chat that we shared some musical tastes - see an example of both below.

Oh blimey Enthusibles!

I've hit the jackpot on this one!  Saw Kraftwerk live at the Cambridge Corn Exchange way back in 197mumble!

But I also saw the two members of the band again when I was brought tickets for Bill Bailey... Tinselworm tour I think it was...

Sometimes I worry about me.

My condolences Xochi's Sis to you and Xochi's family and friends.

RIP Xochi

Supes contacted me again this evening as she wished to comment further:

"I'm reeling about Xochi's death; she was so, so positive, funny, irreverent, kind, principled, humble and amazing".

EC's post made me smile - the sight of  'Enthusiables' always made me grin, and 'Carport' for Garage Joe too.  Great sense of humour our Xochi.
