I forgot to mention, last time we went to Costco, there were three young fawns playing by the motorway - there is fencing but they seemed to have found a way through. They do seem to understand they need to stay back from the road - thankfully!
I was amazed at how big badgers were ...until we had one run in front of the car

I remember as a child hearing the news about Goldie the Golden Eagle having escaped and was going to bed when I heard noises of ripping and tearing coming from the spare room and was convince that it was Goldie so obviously I started screaming.......my Dad emerged somewhat bemused from the spare room where he had been ripping up newspapers for the fire
