I don't want three months work here and there though for the last 9 years of my working life (if the government don't move the goalposts again) I want a stable job for that time

agree but hopefully you would find a permanent one unfortunately now lots of contracts are temporary but usually you become permanent - happened that way to my sister after she was made redundant

yes worth another try sprooty - I still get daily indications of jobs with one click apply which is great

And why not try some voluntary work ....will look good on your cv .... might even lead to something ....and Iâm sure if they are willing to take and old fogey like me you must be in with a chance
