Is this directed at me?  Well some people like to know who wins etc as long as it's indicated there is a spoiler in the title.. I don't see nothing wrong in it because you don't have to read it then.

The show is filmed from last year so all kinds of stuff has been leaked on the internet or the press, people find out who's been fired or wins by Your Fired/Hired audience members saying stuff on the net too because it's not actually filmed after the show airs as the BBC like to portray.

The four finalists were on This Morning last week and claimed that they didn't know who'd won yet!

Were they fibbing?

I've got no problem with your thread, darlo, but I wouldn't want to spoil the final, for myself, and I won't be telling Mr Blizz about your thread!

The last two candidates film 2 endings, one where they win and one where they lose but somehow information gets out about the right ending and bingo.

Lmao i'm just saying i've made it clear in the title it's a spoiler so if people don't want to know then I won't get anyone complaining and if the thread sinks down the page fine but it's there if someone wants to know..

I don't have a problem with spoiler threads per se, but this forum isn't really designed for spoilers. If you go to the home page, you will see the text of all the OPs of recent threads in total. And then there's the "recent comments" ticker down the side...

Yes, you do have "spoiler" in the title, but the text is still fully displayed on the home page, for anyone coming in via that route to see.

I'm really not sure what the solution is. There have been a number of things I've wanted to post regarding certain programmes recently, but have chosen not to because of the spoiler problem. I'm not saying that everyone-else should be so cautious, but I think there is a case for "being aware".

Oh, I didn't realise that, as I never come in via the home page!

ooooh thanks fro the warning Engine ..I usually just close my browser and reopen with the same tabs each day so rarely use the front page. .tis good to know tho. .I bluddy hate spoilers, don't see the point of following something to the end only to peek just before you sit down to watch a  2 hr show.. or to follow a soap and know months in advance what the story lines would be.. strikes me as daft to carry on watching.. don't see the point

Hated the BB spoilers as well..  except for the who's up announcements.. especially hated eviction spoilers   on C4 where people didn't know not to put it in the thread title, again I never saw the point of them for the sake of waiting an hour to see it 'live'.. and I stopped looking at the forum of an evening just in case I opened a spoiler by accident..

Mount Olympus *Olly*

I am with the OP here and agree with Olly's post above me ^^^^^.

Have to say that I was pretty annoyed about that 'Apprentice Spoiler' thread being put up here last night.  In fact, like Olly and Velvet Donkey and several others here, I can't see the point of spoilers at all.  Why on earth would anyone want the show ruined?

And I also am aware that the content of the last few threads are displayed on the home page, and if anyone had accidently clicked on the home page, it would've been ruined.  So after 3 months or more, of religiously watching the show, the final could have been spoiled, by someone thoughtlessly posting the winner on here just a few hours before the final!  I mean, what was the point?  And why would anyone think that anyone would want to know?

I actually came on here at about 8pm last night in the hope of chatting on here about the Apprentice when it was on, and saw that thread with "SPOILER: APPRENTICE WINNER," and I had to instantly 'X' out the site, because I didnt want to risk seeing it. That one thread could have ruined it for me, and many others.

And despite the poster of that thread justifying putting it by saying 'well stuff is leaked out on the net and the press anyway;' *I* am on the internet every day, and watch tv quite  abit, and also read the papers sometimes, and I never ever saw anything 'leaked.'  You would have to be specifically looking for it.

As the last poster suggested, it would be appreciated if people who are desperate to let everyone know that they know what the result or storyline is on any particular thing; that they say "PM me if you want to know,"  because I sure as hell don't want to know it, as I don't want my enjoyment ruining.  And it came very very close to being ruined last night, because of that 'spoiler' thread.  I couldnt even post on here during the show, or just before it, because I didnt want to risk spotting who it was.

When Tom and Helen came into the boardroom last night my husband and son both said "so, it's Tom then". When I asked them how they knew they both said that in the previous week's preview when Sugar ( ) said "you're hired" he pointed to his left. So when Tom sat down they knew it was him.

So ... the BBC actually did the spoiler

I never noticed that at all Rexi, and many others probably didn't even see it or notice it either...but even so, people shouldn't be posting spoilers on here IMO.  Most people don't want them, and it's very unfair, because there is a risk of completely spoiling it for people.  Like I said, ask people to PM you if they 'want' to know.

No one will put a spoiler in those threads, and we all have a good bit of banter. The Apprentice thread has been a right laugh - one of the best bits of the programme. Join us next time

Thanks Rexi,   but nevertheless, it would have been easy to have clicked on 'home page' and all the details of the winner flash up in front of you.

We've always had spoilers on here about BB and every other reality show. I would just say don't open the threads if you don't want to know.

I never come into this forum through the home page bit so I was unaware that threads and OPs were displayed there and I bet Darlo was too. You would only know that if you use that way to access the forum.

I'm uncomfortable with the tone of this tbh, the sarcasm is unnecessary and I hope Darlo isn't upset

Veggie, I don't know who this is aimed at, but I'm not being sarcastic at all.  I'm just voicing my views like everyone else....  And that spoiler being put there last night did annoy me ... I actually don't want to see spoilers and it is possible to actually click on the home page accidently and have your enjoyment ruined.  And from this thread, it seems that quite a few people feel the same about that thread being put there.  I literally shot out of this site last night because I didn't want to risk seeing the result. And I would've liked to have stayed here.

Maybe Darlo didnt know about the home page thing, but all some of us on here are doing is requesting that he asks people to PM him if they want to know.
