so its gonna take a long time to pick one of those ar$eholes

yeah, but you're overlooking the obvious... does an ar$ehole recognise another ar$ehole when the see one?   I think not.  We're getting Maggie II like it or not

What a depressing thought

Madame Arcati

Because that's their system.

They only have one credible candidate IMO. That's Mrs May but either way it's a little bit more of a move to the right and a roll back of the state. I bet MacMillan is spinning. He really will go down as being one of the great left wing leaders de nos jours.

Still, nothing to do with me. Non-players off the green!

After reading what Andrea Leadsom once said.
"I genuinely think we do need to do more for growth . . . above all we have to focus on deregulation.” She continued: “No minimum wage; no unfair dismissal; no maternity or paternity rights; no national insurance or employer pension contributions; a flat rate of tax; no red tape.”

Happy days! After the Brexit fiasco we know that we have just the sort of electorate to make it so!

There's nothing wrong with the opposition. We had a superb alternative. The populace rejected it as is their right. For some reason we seem to be following the US model of having a silly party and a slightly silly party. Unfortunately the victims will be the people who have rejected beneficial policies.

It's all rather like watching a car crash in extremely slow motion. All one can do is make sure that the kids and grandkids are secure.

Rather a dichotomy there. It's true to say that the Sun is Murdoch owned and pandered to the scratters who wished to leave the EC. However I take the ST and the columnists were totally into remaining. The financial pages were full of doom and gloom. I'm led to believe that Murdoch's papers tell the punters what they want to hear but there are more Sun readers than the rest!

One tends to buy hard copy newspapers and ignore online stuff.

Murdoch does have a lot of power though. Populist arguments and lazy political analysis thrust upon the majority. How else do you explain people voting for policies directly opposed to their own interests?

There is enough material in the recent Brexit vote to keep political scientists going for years!
