Hi Queenie and everyone else having problems, mostly when I log in using IE I can never see a lot of threads, If I log in using Firefox everything is fine, however early last week on another part of Livecloud I couldn't view certain threads in IE or Firefox, so I downloaded Google Chrome and still couldn't view. I've just tried Annoca's thread in IE and my post is the last one with no message in the box, when I logged in using Firefox and Google Chrome I can view perfectly. I'm stumped people and sorry If I've broken Livecloud.

(only he won't go out clubbing, won't bugger off to make his way in life, leaving you worrying about him!!)
He won't join the Army thats for sure.
Monet is my new baby, but I absolutely will not be dressing him up in stupid dog clothes, he can have a coat, but only because it's recommended in rain & cold.
I've been watching all the " It's me or the Dog" on 4OD catchup, one owner even had her dog wearing stripey freakin legwarmers.
I'm forbidden to buy non doggie clothes for AJ.

I only wanted to get him the ASBO or SECURITY hoodie!
Stoory - You can tell your OH that the BASENJE is a breed of dog that yodels!!  They don't have a normal bark - just the yodel.
Dante doesn't have a choice whether he wears coats or not as he has to wear his Service Dog vest at all times when he is out with me.

With small breeds of dog - like Monet and Dante - it is essential that they wear a coat in cold weather.  In conditions such as snow, it is also advisable for them to wear tiny boots.  If they don't, they can get a condition called Hardpad which is very painful and difficult to cure.

However, I would not "dress up" any dog in some of the ridiculous clothes that I have seen for sale in pet shops.

I went to the bathroom - he thought I had gone to the bedroom and shot out of the livingroom - past the bathroom - down the hall and into the bedroom, found that I wasn't there and galloped back up the hall - past the bathroom again - and into the livingroom. When he couldn't find me he stood in the doorway and made a sort of yodeling noise!! I called him and he followed my voice and was very relieved to "find" me.
A yodelling dog!
Your description of him dashing from room to room has reminded me of Verdell (the little dog in As Good As It Gets - also a griffon) checking out every room in Jack Nocholson's apartment when he gets shut in there alone for the first time
Well - Dante and I slept well for four hours last night, after which he woke up and wanted to play.  We played for an hour, went back to bed and he slept again with no problems.

It is SO good to feel his little body in bed beside me.

He is so good since he arrived, I am beginning to think the big ears (which he will grow into as he matures) are, in fact, wings!!!

He follows me everywhere and watches everything I do.

Today is the first full day he is here, so we will start work on getting his "routine" sorted out.
I've followed this thread but this is the first time I've posted in it

anyway am so pleased to hear you have a lovely new companion.. he sounds a right cutie... best of luck to the both of you

aww dante's gorgeous and sounds like he's going to make an excellent service dog and great companion
Annoca, it sounds like you and Dante have bonded straight away. I was so sure you would. Remy knew what she was doing when she brought you two together - truly a match made in Heaven.

I'm so pleased he's settling in just fine  I knew he would as I firmly believe he was chosen just for you

I'm almost bursting with happiness for you
Dante has a cheeky face and a mischievous look in his eye lol..........I think you and he are going to have great fun together
Dante is absolutely gawjuss and I'm glad to hear he has settled in well and that you two have bonded already.    There's nothing better than a lovely warm doggie body next to you - I'm rather partial to a warm belly

I reckon when it tips over onto the next page you'll be able to get into it again.

I have no idea why you can't see it atm... I remember problems like this in the early days over here... for some peeps on some threads...

This is what has been posted since Low last copied the thread here Queenie...
I'll go and bump it onto a new page now and see if you can get in then!

Dante and I have spent our first full day together and it has been wonderful.  He is just SO good  -  I keep wondering when the "be a good boy" spell will wear off.

I took him out for a walk on the lead to see if he would walk on it and he was brilliant.

If a stranger is approaching him, he will stop and stare at them to see if he knows them.  If he doesn't know them, he moves from my left side to the right side and keeps on walking and then checks to see if they are following us.

Brabancons are, by nature, very standoffish with people at first.  Ther best they will allow a person they don't know to do is to pat their head.  As they get to know people, they will hold out their paw to shake hands with them.

He has only had a small nap at lunchtime today so he should be ready for a full night's sleep tonight.

He is a very tactile dog - as was Remy - so he does do some things just like she did.

When it comes to stairs or steps, he is hesitant going down, but he flies up them with no problems.

We are heading off to bed shortly so I will let you know how that went, tomorrow morning.

Dante sends love and Brabancon kisses to all.  Talk to you all tomorrow.
Thanks for the lovely updates and descriptions ANNOCA. You describe things so well.
It must be a lovely sense of safety, security and lovethat you are sharing with Dante.
Continued good wishes. Look forward to hear more
It's a joy to read Annoca that little Dante is settling in so well.Keeps us updated on our forum dog.We all look forwards to reading about him.
Thank you for the update Annoca. It sounds like Dante is settling in well in his new home.
That's fantastic ANNOCA< he seems to be settling in really well  It's nor surprising he has some of Remys characteristics as Remy sent him for you, and, they are family....I'm sure Remy is bursting with as much happiness as we are
Dante and I had a full nights sleep last night!!  He was great!!

He had his breakfast, did his business in the garden and is now rearing to go.  Today could be very interesting as the "newness" of everything is wearing off for him and he is becoming very confident about where he is and what he is doing.

I am going to bring him to the park today to feed the ducks and swans.  Remy and I did this every day and she regarded the birds as "hers".

The birds got to know Remy very well and always came out of the water and gathered around us to have the food we brought.

I am sure the birds are wondering where she is, but hopefully, they will accept Dante as well as they did Remy, and that he will enjoy going to feed them every day.

I will let you all know how it goes when we get back.
ANNOCA< try and take some photos please? I'd love to see Dantes reaction to the ducks, and the ducks reaction to Dante!!!
Great you both slept well - hope you have a good time at the park
Annoca it is lovely you are both bonding so well enjoy your trip to the park

I have left a message in the games forum for elkie asking her to PM you
The trip to the park was a disaster!!!  The ducks wouldn't come anywhere near us!!  They stayed at the far end of the lake.  Also, brought the camera with me, went to take some photos, and the battery was dead!!

SO, we are going to have to go again tomorrow and the next day and the next day. . . . . . .until the ducks get the message.

Dante enjoyed the whole thing though!!  SO many new smells and new things to see.  He didn't even notice the ducks but thought I had gone mad, throwing the bread into the water - and dried to jump in after it!!  It is no wonder the ducks weren't having any hand, act or part in that.

He is shattered now and having a nap.  I just have to make sure that he doesn't sleep for too long, or he will wake up and want to play again during the night.
Thank you Marguerita.  Much appreciated.
Hi Annoca...

it may not be a bad thing that the ducks kept their distance... they may not be puppy proof!

So, how are you doing?  In terms of differences & similarities and stuff.   You ok?
I have found this thread heart breaking and heart warming. I think someone should print every page off and send it to a publisher because I think it would make a good book.
Lovely to read that you and Dante are enjoying life once again.

ANNOCA, I'm sure he'll get better, he's probably just excited at all the newness....I bet it was cute to watch
ANNOCA - you have been wonderful in keeping us informed of events.
