I can't yet decide between Kate and Yasmina as my eventual winner, although I suspect Kate may have the edge, her relationship with Phillip had shades of Michelle Dewberry all over again and I don't think given his lack of enthusiasm for women managers in general, ( Shock results in series 3 & 4 being my case in point) Sir Alan is likely to let another romance, media storm over the relationship etc detract from the eventual appointment. Shame really because until this week I would have said she was a shoe in. She has been outstanding.

Debra.....appalling people skills.
Lorraine.....alienates too many people.
Mona.....sweet but not a huge amount of depth but her selling and negotiating skills this week were first class.

I like Yasmina......focused, polished and tough but not quite as good with the people management as Kate.
Ben....totally arse in every way.
Howard.....totally out of his depth.
James.....quite sweet but not that far away from being a bit of a buffoon with little credibilty.

I'm certain it will be a Kate / Yasmina final. Kate should get it based on what we've seen so far but I suspect it will be Yasmina.

Kate is the top contender, she has shown maturity, intelligence, people skills, team leading skills, verbal skills and problem solving skills others struggle to match, and she exercises these skills with an ease and charm that really puts her in front of the pack.

Her poor choice of Philip as a flirting partner is the only thing to be held against her.

Mona on the other hand is appalling.

She is objectionable, aggressive, self-obsessed, unprincipled, thuggish, stupid, inarticulate and downright stupid and seems to think being in business is little more than being a door to door salesman and she doesn't even have the charm of your average door to door salesman.

Yasmina lacks problem solving skills and lacks maturity. Her recent little tantrum with Lorraine demonstrates she is unsuitable for a responsible position, and her attitude and skill set on display in the catering task was poor, and her performance in the cosmetic task in which she messed up the costing was appalling.

I do wonder whether you've confused Mona with Debra who's behaviour in episode 6 was so 'objectionable, aggressive, self-obsessed, thuggish, stupid, and downright stupid' towards Nick Hewer in particular, she's on a final warning from Sir Alan?

Whilst Mona might not be a potential winner she demonstrated some marvellous selling and negotiating this week and the panel on 'You're Fired' plus her fellow apprentices singled her out for high praise.

Debra is the brunette with a face you could crush diamonds on yes?

The winner will have to be female since the remaining male candidates are a total shower. I'm hard pressed to think of a decent male candidate this year and tbh the female candidates are pretty poor too.

I agree it'll come down to Yasmina and Kate. But I wonder whether the Dewsberry effect will put AS off choosing Kate?

I really can't see any of the characteristics you ascribe to Mona Flossie... Confused

That's the one but amazing blue eyes. She's constantly applying lip gloss and touching her face, got an absolute dressing down from Sir Alan re. the despicable way she spoke to Nick Hewer in the boardroom in week 6.

She's got a vicious mouth on her not disimilar to Jenny Celerier from last series and Katie Hopkins from Series 3. Moon

I loved James's comment in the car last week on the 'You're fired!' show when they turned up @ the car park: 'Maybe he wants us to do a drug deal?' Laugh

I voted for Yasmina incorrectly...I quite fancy her. I think Kate might clinch it. James could be a strong contender.

I wouldn't want Debra working in my (fictional) organisation so I wouldn't employ her. Nice skin though. And Ben wouldn't be far behind her out the door either. Shake Head

I have to agree working with Debra would be a nightmare compared to Mona. Unless she was wearing leather and holding a whip Blush

Yeah well she was twice as stupid as the other contestants.

She was spiteful and unprincipled in her desperate and clumsy verbal attacks on others and I think this was to disguise her awful lack of ability. She had clearly decided attack was the best means of defence, but she isn't equipped with the verbal skills to do anything but blunder about as she lashed to and fro.

Nope.

Debra was just making a firm case for herself.

I think you regard Nick as semi-divine, he isn't and like any human being will always be worthy of some sort of criticism.

Mona demonstrated a brief skill at cajoling a retailer who seemed to be revelling in the media exposure and would probably have bought a kitchen sink had it been a means to get on the telly.

Mona had repeatedly demonstrated what a talentless non-entity she was and while that isn't offensive, her character is.

We are well rid of the woman.

What complete balderdash, what an inverted pyramid of piffle. That is all completely untrue and ludicrous conjecture. I am amazed you of all people can write such drivel. Moon
