Hello you lovely lot

I'm 135 days away and i've still got a load of stuff to organise  I have a dress but i didn't pick it (It was donated) and i'm not feeling it anymore. So I'm going dress shopping soon and hoping to get my bridesmaids dresses done on the same day..... I was really stressing with all the planning etc but i now have a bit of cash behind me (slightly unexpectedly ) So I'm now going full pedal to the metal.... I still need photographer (how bloody much?!?!?) DJ, car, dresses and suits.... Yes I am THAT unorganised

Any tips would be greatly received xx

My youngest is getting married later this year, so I know a little bit about this.

Wedding dress: my future DiL got her dress and the bridesmaids dresses from a wedding boutique but stores such as John Lewis and Debenhams have wedding dresses at less than half the price.

Have you considered hiring your dress, its less expensive than buying.

Suits: my youngest son is wearing a kilt so the whole wedding party are hiring kilts (so everyone is in the same tartan) but my middle son also hired morning suits for his wedding.

Photographer: worth spending money to get a decent one. Make sure you see her/his/her portfolio and ask if s/he has recommendations from previous clients.

Photographers can have different styles so check that the formal/more relaxed style of their portfolio suits you.

DJ: some bands and DJs do promo evenings in hotels, where you can go along and hear them before you book. Prices can vary quite a lot.

Cars: Bridal cars are expensive and can often come in a package of three cars.

With everything wedding related, be careful of "extras" which might not be included in the price quoted.

If there are any Wedding Fayres on soon, it's worth checking them out.

Good luck Jen, you will get there.
