How hot is it over there? Heard it's a heat wave.

@Former Member we're all sweltering at 22 degrees Celsius which is positively balmy for us

Supposed to be 25°C here (central Scotland) tomorrow, with full sunshine. And yes, it's 22°C here just now too!

Well?

Did you survive the storm?

Newcastle - none stop rain over the last 2 days with torrential rain and wind like I've never seen.

It's wrecked our guttering causing tons if water to pour all over the side of our house and onto the garage roof.

What a noise - all night!!

Placed large buckets all over the back of the house last night - everyone was filled to the brim this morning.

What a terrible night

CRAWCROOK (Tyne and Wear) - going to visit a friend and  . . .

I had to stop driving, couldn't see anything - rain, hail, lightning, leaves off trees, tarmac lifted off road with fountain coming out of it.

Rivers of water - front street at least 2-3 feet deep

Fire engines, ambulance … it was more than torrential. Car is damaged by the hail

And on and on

Ordered a Chinese

Today is one of those really bright, sunny, crisp mornings. I am sat in a coffee shop looking out at a blue sky, the bright sun illuminating the Town Hall and surrounding buildings. I can also see the remaining trees in leaf, resplendent reds and yellows.

I can never understand why people dislike Autumn and Winter. New views, sights and experiences. The beauty of the UK for me is the changing seasons and all that brings.
