Here in Cheshire we've  had really heavy rain , and black skies, one minute ....and sunshine the next .....I don't think the weather has been told it's not April any more  

North and South Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Gorgeous warm sunny day today. Only wore my coat ,cos it was the easiest way to carry it. Have been home for two hours now and have been in short sleeves the whole time. Only now starting to feel a bit cool, so will put a light cardigan on. No heating in the house since 8 this morning. Still too warm for that yet, maybe an hour or two after the sun's set - by which time it'll be bedtime, so probably wont have it on at all this evening/tonight.

It's pishing it down, a lot.

I can't stress enough how much rain is coming down.

Looking out of the the window I can see the lack of any wind means it is coming down like stair rods.

I think you all get the picture.

It is however making all the gardens and trees look very nice a bright and green.

Edit: It's now 15:47 and the rain has stopped in favour of a little brightness.

Started with a brief spray then came down like stair rods, good and hard. Smashing, refreshing summer rain. Love it.

Did not last long though. I do however suspect more as the forecast shows thunder and lightening heading up country - hope your reading this Aimee as you will be getting it just before me.

No rain or thunder here (Scotland) so far, in fact it's quite sunny, but we are forecast for rain for most of the afternoon.

Most fantastic thunderstorm this morning. At 3:35 there were no gaps at all between the lightning strikes and thunder claps. Was like a disco in the garden. A big scary disco!   Only lasted about 10 mins, and then there was a massive downpour that sounded like someone was chucking swimming pools at the windows.  

Now it's sunny, bright and ...drizzly. Rainbow weather, only without the rainbows

Patio is virtually finished - patio furniture delivered yesterday *cue rain* - prepare for one of the wettest summers in recent history

Clouding over now and looks like rain is on it`s way. Hope it stays dry for our festival on Magdalen Yard green this afternoon. Fingers crossed.
