I certainly agree with you Baz.  Maybe this thread wouldn't have gone to ten pages if we'd had some feedback to allay our worst fears.  Ted & Co, please don't take that as a critical swipe, our gratitude goes without saying, but input and guidance would have been extremely helpful.

Your proposal (whilst being perfectly understandable) has made us fearful of losing our community ~ and these ten pages might help to show you how much it means to all of us.

I said that the other night. Just close a thread until it's looked at by someone higher up

seems reasonable to me  it's not as if we have trouble everyday anyway

Low, I'm interested that you're saying that. Not wanting to cause trouble, but didn't you mod elsewhere with all of the best intentions and it all went horribly wrong?

Hiya Supes, I really didn't want to comment on this because the decision is  up to the regular members.

The Trouble you talk of was unfairly aimed at the Admin on that other place thinking he was someone else.

I posted there at the time and couldn't understand why it was targeted so horribly. I finally understood when a 'Newbie' here was accused of being someone totally different to the Newbie we all know.  The Thread was deleted so I can't go back and confirm this.

The person who set up that Forum 'left' and Low agreed to look after it.  She did a great job and it turned into a lovely friendly place under her guidance.  Don't believe all the gossip.

Members here talk of the lovely Community and it being Home but don't trust each other to keep an eye on it.  I would trust Low with my life.

Not getting at you Supes just trying to explain.

Tayto.

Ya I agree when people have an agenda things can go wrong but with the power of reasonable people it can be sorted out.

I don't know what you mean about Sub Fora, I know of one and any Fool can make a spoof forum and pretendy identities to talk to themselves but they always slip up and are found out.  The Spoof forum I saw was pure evil and was done by someone with a serious chip on their shoulder and so full of hate and suspicion their judgement is clouded.

The likes of this person post all over the place to keep a hand in but never commit to anything because they know nothing about friendship or trust.

We've had it here but where are they now?  They're long gone because people here would not put up with it and let the Admins know their feelings.  Do you really think they will take on a Mod they don't trust?

That and we are weeks away from BB starting ,I want to know if we have a forum

I'm sure we will have - the way I read it - it seems like they were putting out feelers for possible changes to moderating this forum. It can't be easy when much of what goes on takes place while they're sleeping. As Kaffy said ^^^^^ it's probably not a priority - just an idea they're floating about.

Just the way I feel too Soozy, they have been very good to us and I really don't see why that would change.

I agree Yellow Rose, Seattle have done a great job here, and I'm confident they will continue to. I think it may be a way of offering more 'people power' - members having more imput. Super, (the other place) had problems Before I became the Moderator, and then very few afterwards, certainly no back stabbing or unbiased modding. Thank you Tayto for your comments. Apologies I can't quote the relevant parts on iPad

Absolutely not Baz, Seattle were great when we were about to be homeless, and the way Lori et al have handled the place since has been great (I think the way they reacted when we lost Brisket for example was wonderful)    I appreciate the place and the people hugely, but I'm not sure I 100% agree with the theory that we're lucky to have it (we are) so we should shut up (I don't think we should).   I'm sure Ted's not running a charity for us.  There are ads on the site - and I'm sure for the sake of those, he'll want to do whatever is best to keep the footfall up.   No offence Seattle

Good on you if you've offered Fluffs. I assume that you used to be a teacher, so more than accustomed to settling silly playground disputes and more serious bullying etc.
