Didn't get round to creating a new thread, but was anyone-else watching the first episode of the new series of "Robot Wars"?

What a great final battle!

Did not even know it was on !!!!!

Aw... I knew I should have done a "heads-up".

Can you catch up on iPlayer?

Watching Coronation Street, I only watch on and off, but I am getting really confused as to why the bloke hidden in an old house is there, and why he now has his hands free and another bloke is locked in with him......why doesn't he undo the other blokes hands and jump the ugly bloke holding them captive next time he pops in to visit?????????????

A few heads-ups for tonight (Sunday):

Escape - C4, 7pm: I know a number of FMs are fans of this. It's back after a brief rest last week. This time they have to escape from a desert island.

Robot Wars - BBC2, 8pm: Carbide's back! You've been warned, EC...

What We Do in the Shadows - BBC2, 11.15pm: Wonderful comedy-horror movie from New Zealand. It's co-director Taika Waititi also directed the new Thor movie. Remember: "Werewolves, not swearwolves!"

Thanks Eugene Escape will have to be missed ....or watched at 8 on plus 1, cos it clashes with Strictly results ...

Yeah: for some reason they've moved "Escape" forward by an hour. I suspect they may be trying to avoid a clash with "Robot Wars" (another - broad speaking - "practical engineering" show), but as you say it now crosses Strictly instead.

I have stuck it on record as it clashes with my F1 catch-up. should be good from next week onwards.

"Robot Wars" about to start on BBC2 now.

Apparently the arena takes a real battering this week!

Apex self-destructed - and its 40kg blade smashed through the "bullet-proof" arena glass!

I'm really liking the group of schoolkids that Apex was up against: " I didn't expect it to turn into a helicopter!"

The truth about slim people "Some people stay slim despite never dieting or exercising"

What a pointless programme.

All we have discovered about our 2 chosen subjects is that they're slim cos they :

1 Don't snack

2 Fast (but don't realise they do) ... skip meals

3 Rarely eat out

4 Cook a lot of their food from scratch

5 See some food as 'treats' and don't often have them

6 And they are active

So what have we learned .... they eat a reasonable amount of calories overall and are generally active.

It's shed NO light what-so-ever

They should have studied thin people who are sedentary and eat loads of food.
