I watched Broadchurch last night ...and quite enjoyed it ...hope it continues that way ...thought "Hayley" was good ....I never saw Lenny Henry though

I thought "Hayley" was excellent, as were David and Olivia. Very sensitively handled.

Lenny owns the place where "Hayley" works.

I thought it was all performed and handled very well too.

The Radio Times critic is already suggesting that this third series might even be better than the first. While we're going to have to wait and see on that one, it's definitely got potential.

A very good start, let's hope it continues.

Watching the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Ch4

Right up my alley

I'm recording it .....just so I can check it out before booking in

From the staff's demeanour I doubt I shall attend.

Simply not posh enough

Finally got around to watching it ,and tbh I wasn't keen on the staff full stop

After giving up on the last season of Top Gear half way through I have decided to watch tonights opener for the series on BBC Two HD. They have reverted to a three man presentation team, they have looked at a super expensive car, used a high pressure water jet to vandalise things and conducted a two part film driving three high mileage cars in Kazakhstan where they have hit each other 'accidentally', had a speed test, raced in a quarry and now we are in the final throws of the film. Not forgetting a star in a now expensive car and some jokes which were toe curlingly bad and desperately needed the canned laughter they daubed on top.

This show is still too close to the Clarkson/May/Hamster series. I'm still not impressed and I will watch with great interest how the viewing figures turn out.

Le Blanc being the only element I like.

I was wondering if it was any good Rexi....I might download it then

Been recording this, but haven't got round to seeing it yet because of a lot of conflicting shows. Heard good things about it, though.

Thanks Eugene

Talking of conflicting shows...

Been meaning to post about his for ages: is anyone-else watching "Inside No 9"?

4th episode of the current series tonight (that's counting the Christmas special). It's been exceptionally good so far, but boy: is it dark! Last week's episode seemed to be trying to set a record for how bleakly dark it could get...

BBC2 - 10pm tonight.

It's a series of one-off comedy-dramas written and performed by Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith from the League of Gentlemen.

Apart from being very dark, the only thing the episodes have in common with each other is that they are all set in a house, room or whatever labelled "No 9".
