Trump still fomenting violence - a bit more covertly though. :-

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th," he said, in a comment published on his spokesperson's Twitter account. Twitter has temporarily blocked the president from using his own account.

He’s completely lost the plot ....which is worrying considering what power he still wields !

Reckoned he was a bit of a madman right from the start, but it was more in a zany sort of way back then. It is now in a dangerous sort of way. Can anyone be less than scared and fearful right now......and can anyone be less than scared and fearful for the foreseeable future? In the short term at least!

Exactly EFFT I seriously think the guy has dementia ..... let’s face it he can’t even string a sentence together properly !

Yes, it was disgraceful and he's been stoking this up for years.  He should be impeached right now for sedition.  He often backtracks only to say something else inflammatory later.

From what I know about the US they have this long time between elections and the new president taking their place because of the vast size of the USA and in the very old days it could take weeks to get across when horsepower was your only transport.  So it's a ridiculous anachronism in the 21st century.  He's already shown himself to be a disgrace and in contempt of office.  If the USA has any sense, he should be gone tomorrow.

Nah, that's not dementia. He's just no frills straight up lost it!

I have to disagree with you, Sprout, in so far as this implies that he's somehow changed. He hasn't: he's always been like this. He's a spoilt, rich, entitled narcissist who's so used to getting his own way that he can't accept it when he doesn't. He's long been known as a notorious golf cheat ( so much so that a book's been written about it), and when "The Apprentice" failed to win an Emmy, he claimed the voting was rigged against him. When he ran for President, he said that he'd accept the result - providing he won. Many treated that comment as a joke, but I'm sure it sent a chill through all who knew his history - it certainly did with me.

I was listening to an interviewee this evening say that she's always said that the most dangerous period of Trump's presidency would be when he had to be removed from office, and that's indeed what's come to pass. Many have warned about this for 4-5 years, so what has really annoyed me over the the last 24 hours or so has been having to listen to Republican after Republican claim that they never imagined this would happen. The truth is that they knew full well how dangerous he was, but kept quiet because they were benefiting politically from walking in his shadow. They encouraged and enabled him, and are therefore just as responsible - if not more so - for recent events than Trump himself.

And now they're reaping the whirlwind.

President Trump will become only the fourth president in US history to not attend his successor's inauguration.

The last time it happened was in 1869, when outgoing president Andrew Johnson refused to travel to the ceremony in the same carriage as President-elect Ulysses Grant.

Media outlets previously reported that Trump was planning to be at his golf course in Scotland, but Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said she would not allow him to enter the country.

Whatever else people think of her, you've got to applaud her for that!

He's just stirring his followers again Baz, seriously he needs to be removed and quick sharp! For those Republicans who are now saying they didn't see this coming, have they been living in a cave with no contact to the outside world, it's ridiculous to say they couldn't see it coming.

*I have CNN on too Baz*
