We had a bomb scare last week when a troubled young white male planted a hoax device in our shopping district.....reminded me of the years of IRA bombing and hoaxes and the fear of unattended bags back then. It took the courage of women rising up against the hatred and then the govt talking to the terrorists and listening and eventual understanding and change. They say that Isis don't want to talk that it's impossible to change their beliefs...same was said about the Irish situation. I believe less people will want to be radicalised if it was made clear that the West will look at it's foreign policy differently
I totally agree Amythist, I've never supported bombing other countries in our own interest. I will never forget the bombing by the west in on Baghdad ...the sheer horror of it will never be erased from my memory.
No one is excusing these atrocious acts, they are evil and I can't imagine what the families of these children and young people are going through 
But, I would much rather we try and lower the risk of these attacks by not constantly bombing children in other countries. We see it daily, children's bodies being dragged out of heaps of rubble, you can easily see how Isis would use this to recruit terrorists. Which is what I've always said long before JC was leader of the labour party and what he said yesterday is exactly what I have said for years. I can not for the life of me understand the Tories flat out lying about what he said when it's there for all to see and why they disagree with it. 
Dame, I totally agree with you and what annoys me further is the way the BBC reported it...I know they are being squeezed and pressurised by the Tories...but they need to stand back from misinformation and spin

I don't watch the BBC news at all now Amy, it's full to the rafters with Tories and the reporting is appalling. People are now waking up to what is happening within the BBC and I find it incredibly sad that what was once a well respected, trusted and informative channel is now just a government mouthpiece.
Now May wants the government to control the internet....boom, there you have it, total control.

Because it's Question Time? It's always a panel answering the same audience questions. Reeks of fear of contradiction to me. IMO too, Jeremy isn't normally the one interrupting and talking over others.
If he dares to answer a question, it'll show her up more if she answers the same question with one of her stock spiels which don't address the issue at all.

PS Kids in the playground is right. It's May's ball and if they (the media) aren't going to play to her rules, she's keeping her ball at home.

the panel behaved like they were in parliament..all shouting..the idea of a one to one discussion is so those that are undecided can actually listen to each leader, without yelling & shouting going on, then the viewer can make an informed decision on who to give their vote to
corbyn is an old hand at debates & doesnt need a script, may isnt sure of herself & needs a script & a braying mob behind her to support her
she is the current leader of the country & SHOULD debate..if she cant debate & the tories win, how on earth will she cope with the 27 EU members when it comes to putting the best deal for us forward?
the answer is, she cant, she knows it & thats why shes refusing to debate, because she knows shes not 'strong & stable'

IMO, he should step down as he has the charge hanging over his head - but, unlike the Labour MPs Baz mentioned, he is still innocent till proven guilty.
However, in my book, a fraudulent crook is a fraudulent crook, however their party spins it.
