...of course, this was just a humorous response, and no offence to all those who did not get into my list.

I nearly did the same EC

Given my age , that’s a bit hard But ...

1. George Clooney

2. Harrison Ford

3. David Attenborough

4. The Yorkshire Vet

5. Marcus Waring

Cheeky

Girl can dream

Difficult, because sadly quite a few people who I'd have considered for my list have died in recent years.

That said: I've been sure for a long time of my No. 1 choice, but the others are fairly interchangeable...

1. Desmond Tutu

2. Buzz Aldrin

3. Jocelyn Bell Burnell

4. Paul McCartney

5. Meryl Streep

I was going to include David Attenborough, but I was a little embarrassed at only having one female on my list, so seeing as Baz also picked Sir David, I promoted Meryl.

The Queen and Tanni Grey-Thompson were also on my shortlist...

Stephen Fry's partner choice put me right off him

Revealing.

Do we ever really know people's motivations?

Interesting none-the-less

In reality, I don't want to meet anyone famous or infamous. I would probably have very little to say and I may also risk being disappointed by them on some level.

True Most of the ones I’d like to meet are historical and dead

The Queen........(just to chat one to one)

Mick Jagger......(just to chat one to one)

.

Henry the Eighth .....(just to chat one to one)

.

My Great Grand mother and Great Grand Father....X 2.....(I know that is greedy but I am sure I got it from them).

What happened to the top fives @Saint ??

Here is another for your list, which I think might work for all the foodies on the forum. Top Five Cuisines from around the world.

Doesn't seem to have much forum interest - sadly

The forum is very quiet nowadays.

I like British, Italian, Chinese, Thai and some (mild) Indian food.

Awwww I like them

My 5 are British, Italian , Chinese, French, and , for my sins , American South

My five TV series selected on being Canadian or American and being relatively unknown.
Poltergeist: The Legacy (1996 to 1999)
Beauty and the Beast (1987 to 1990) (crime fantasy, no connection with the Disney films)
Warehouse 13 (2009 to 2014) and Eureka (2006 to 2012) - separate series but connected
Haven (2010 to 2015)

and the best of all and the obscurest - Key West, only the one series of 13 episodes from 1993. It was shown in the middle of the night here, isn't available on DVD. Fisher Steven and Jennifer Tilly.

...OH I forgot Blakes 7. As a kid I loved it.

which reminds me of that Gerry Anderson series Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. The last but one episode was called Attack on Cloudbase. I missed quite a lot of the start of that episode.

25 minutes long, I would have missed the first 10 minutes.
Other than the ending of that, you can see why I was reminded.
