I got it wrong, i thought kate was going to win....he's obviously looking for someone who would always bear cost in mind at all times, quality is not such a priority/in this economic climes. Was his amstrad cheap? Glance

Wow! though didn't yasmina brush up well! she's looks like a different woman after winning.

But she was focused and listening to his instructions, not flashing her teeth at him at the slightest encouragement.

Not surprised. I'd prefer watching 2 intelligent people striving and doing their very best compared with 16 idiots assuming they'll continue and stabbing each other in the back.

Entertaining though, the Apprentice. Strawberry and Basil choccy anyone? Better than Cheese and Liver anyday!

i'm so glad Yasmina won, she'd been my favourite for some time. Big Grin

Couldn't stand Kate from the moment she said she didn't like working with women on her CV...I mean what sort of fool would put that down, didn't it cross her mind for one second that she might be interviewed by or working with women??

Although very capable that would have lost her any job with me.

I agree with all you say! I was so pleased Yasmina won. I also think there was something very telling about Kate when she said she wanted to have 'x amount of people beneath her' Her whole attitude smacked to me of someone who thinks people they manage really are 'beneath' her.

Those two women really excelled in that chocolate task. Their presentations were flawless and excellent. What nerves they must have, I don't think I could survive all that pressure.

In the end it was really difficult to choose between two excellent candidates.

If I was in Sir A's shoes I would have chosen both of them as Apprentices. There is no way I would leave an excellent candidate like Kate go to another company.

I think Kate's fatal flaw was her lack of knowledge of costs and profit margin.

Yasmina knew exactly what each chocolate cost, hideous as those flavours sounded lol. Kate shown all the way through but I was let down when her response was "I'm sure we have a good profit margin" instead of product cost is X amount like Yasmina.

Staying in business IS all about the money.
