I used to go home crying every day, and she turned several of the others against me by making out certain things that had gone wrong were my fault. And she constantly undermined me. She was such a cow, I put up with it for a year, and then left... She will get what is coming to her one day. Mad

Awwww Hug

Yes, they can be vile and incredibly cruel. Nothing is worse than being in an office (or anywhere for that matter), where you are made to feel bad about yourself or uncomfortable or just plain miserable because of the people you are working with (who happen to be women). I worked for a woman a while back, I only lasted about 3 months before I escaped, and she was the vilest, nastiest, bitchiest woman I have known. The times she had me in tears, I will never forget it. Having said that, where I work now, my main manager is a woman and she is really nice and approachable. So, not all women are Big Grin

That is not to say that all women are like that, but in my experience that is what I have seen and experienced.

Hi Liverpool L, I had the opposite experience to you, I was the only female manager working with 8 male managers. I was verbally abused on a daily basis, porn would be left on my screen saver with none of them taking responsibility. Any c**p or difficult jobs that had to be done were assigned to me and then when I would do a good job they would take credit for it. When I would answer back or fight my corner, I was accused of having PMT or being emotional.Becasue I don't have children (not by choice by the way) a couple of the men would leave at all times of the day to deal with'family issues'..this happened all the time.
It truly was a nightmare and as a result I actually resigned. My preference would always be to work in a mixed enviroment. I look back on that year with those guys and I am mad that I actually didnt take my company to a tribunal or at least get some of those b**t**ds fired. Mad

Hiya Holly wavey

I am sorry to hear that Hug What they did was disgraceful! I can only go by the experiences I have had, as all of us can and the worst experiences (for me), were working with women. I know that what you experienced does go on and it is not right or fair that it does. Personally, I've not experienced that whilst working with men and most of them have been respectful. I worked in an office once with a load of ex-army/navy/air force men and at times the air was blue - but I just laughed it off and got on with my job.

Hi LL, on hindsigt its easy to see that the muppets I worked with were all 'wanabees' and not any class of men at all.(They were like Ben from the apprentice!) Thankfully the blokes you worked with were decent sorts. Ah well, thank God its all in the past!!
Looking forward to seeing another bunch of muppets enter the BB house tomorrow Wink

Indeed they were and I am glad you didn't let it destroy you!

Both Ben and Philip were muppets - but they were entertaining which I guess is what the show is all about. I hope we get another James next time, although I fear he is one of a kind Big Grin

I think it is Jasmina who wins. I picked up the vibes from Nick when he was on “You’re Fired” panel a few weeks back. Cool Like Lorain I do have a gift of sixth sense I think. Laugh

I think he got it right in not putting Debra through. Why would he want someone that would alienate the workforce? He needs an all rounder, not someone who will put people's backs up every day Nod

and Yasmeena wouldn't from what I've seen from her it her way or the highway, yes she was competent but me i prefered Debra who had fire in her belly and was starting to learn about how to conduct herself, learning process is the role of an apprentice and that I thought fit Debra to a tee.

Personally, I preferred Lorraine. She seems nice and decent and alot more approachable. I just think Debra would be a nightmare to work with, as her references have stated.

If she learns from her experience on The Apprentice and can turn it around, then good on her. Unfortunately, I think if it is in your nature to be that way, it is very difficult to change.

Debra was robbed Nod Disappointed

She only needed a few rough edges smoothed out. Isn't that the point of hiring an apprentice? Taking some impressive raw talent & mould it?

I thought SrrrrrrAlan looked as though he instantly regretted his decision to fire her. I seriously doubt that Debra actually needs SrrrrrAlan to advance her career anyway.

But it's a shame she's not in the final instead of "Teef".

I agree with you deegs, he looked loke he was second guessing his decision the moment it came out of his mouth, but have to disagree with you on Kate, I think she may win well I hope she does now.
