I quite often want to say something, but know it's not worth a thread of it's own. So I'm going to say it here.

Those adverts over there >>>>>

I know they can be linked to what people have been 'searching for'.  But it just showed me one for an AAT course, which is quite spooky because we just had our accountant in (year end and all that) and I was discussing with him about whether it would be worth me doing that course.

Anyway, please feel free to mention anything here that you can't be bothered think isn't worth starting a thread about, but want to say.

Three months, that's amazing. Being nosy ... have you lost weight because of it?

I might give up for a week or two before my hols if you have

Soozy I bought that book on your recommendation, along with, his 'Lose Weight' and 'Be happy' books.  Haven't read one of them yet.

Might sit down tomorrow with a glass of wine and a cake while I cry myself stupid reading them.

Just listening to Falco (Rock me Amadeus) on the tuby thing and I got a whiff of blackshirt about him. Wandered if it was just me. Love his music though.

How much music did he do? Or are you confused about Mozart?

No. Did they have blackshirts in 1780 odd?

He seems to have been the only German singing artist to be successful in the US, according to wiki, which could mean nothing or everything.

Maybe a tad but ........................i'm eating more biccies and stuff. I've tried not to deprive myself of 'nice' bits and pieces because I'm feeling a bit of a martyr giving up alcohol. I've kind of substituted wine with other drinks like Elderflower Presse which isn't particularly low in calories. Have recently been buying various flavoured waters (not quite the same). I will be addressing weight in due course - back to Slimming World i think - it'll be a doddle as I always went over my daily sin allowance on alcohol alone.

I guessed I've missed an opportunity really - should have lost shed loads.

Anyhooo, I bought 6 tambourines, 6 pairs of castanets and a kilo of cherries today

Mannnnnnn, I want to come shopping with you.

I hope after you bought the 6 tambourines, you entered every shop after that skipping and singing 'hare krishna'.

Never mind black t-shirts, did they even have t-shirts in the 1780's?

Look back up the thread though, I have in my head that he died in a bus crash in Canada.  I'm going to google it now, to check.

We were both wrong, he was Austrian and he died in a bus crash in the Dominican Republic.  BAH

I might get the weight one - the thing is you have to 'want' to do it. i had the book for about three weeks before I decided to read it. In so many ways I'm glad I did but ............it is life changing. Most of the time I'm really and truly not bothered (never thought I could do that) - there are times though where i feel something is missing - I'm not even tempted to have a drink but .........................it doesn't stop me feeling that there's something missing. I suppose/hope that'll change in time as I'm quite convinced it was the right thing to do (for me). I think from a health angle it can only be good as I was never a 'moderate' drinker and I'm an all or nothing type of person.

Not for everyone I suppose. I didn't find it too difficult to grasp although he does labour his point a bit (i suppose that's how it works). It's not what I'd call an 'enjoyable' or 'easy' read but it certainly worked for me. I'm still a bit  I say almost every day to Mr Woo - 'can you believe we're still not drinking'

Cosi ........................I'm boring myself with it now TBH. Found out today that the old duffer they sent to fit the kitchen is 72 - his younger help is 66. I told Mr Woo I wanted fit young men stripped to the waist glistening in sweat - he was like. I told him I didn't want to ogle them I simply wanted some action (of the kitchen fitting kind). This pair of old boys poodle along whistling a happy tune and bugger all seems to get done.

I've kind of given up now TBH - I'm washing up in the bath again tonight

I've poured some of the excess icing sugar in to my hair so when mr cinds wakes up and licks me I'm sweet as candy.  But if he doesn't lick me, I'll look like I died in the night and he'll feel sad.  Either way he's going to wake me up loving me.

The defence of the indefensible reached epic heights of hypocrisy on QT.  I've had little time for Cameron, but he exposed himself as a shameless corrupt hypocrite in backing Murdoch arse licker, Hunt. Where are the Lib Dems in all of this?  How can this not be the straw that breaks the camel's back (pretty big straw as well)?, I don't see how they can support a coalition with a party of scumbag self serving right wing liars and hypocrites.

I came home from work yesterday to find the council had dug a section of the road up to resurface.

I thought......that's funny, no notice given   I got in the front door to find a notice on the doormat saying.....on Thursday 31st May we will be digging your road up, please move your car (words to that effect). Stable door....horse bolted?

Local radio were saying last week though that we should enter Eurovision in our own right.. have the Proclaimers and Calvin Harris collaborating on a song.   Sounded like a right good plan to me.

And to me Kaffy. What a team they`d make.

I`m not keen on Paulo but that`s not got anything to do with him why I`m against him being chosen. I would have felt the same if it had been anyone else other than The Proclaimers. Brilliant, rousing songs with a Scottish flavour... that everyone can sing along to. Perfect. They would have brought the hoose doon.

I actually think half of Snow Patrol are Scottish Sooz.. there's a sor of ongoing are they Scottish or Irish thing going on.    I do know the Stereophonics are Welsh and I suppose i think of that - I just don't see them as being 'traditionally' Welsh if you know what I mean - not in the same way as The Proclaimers are so obviously Scottish singing in their own accents etc.  I know what I mean even if I'm not explaining it very well  Same for the English band - to me The Stones or The Who or even Oasis are more 'English' than Duran Duran.

When I am sold goods clearly not 'fit for purpose' and the shop refuses to refund saying it is not their policy and the Customer Service is extremely poor, talking a load of old rubbish. That'll teach me to shop in a discounted store, I guess

I should have added that the store inform me that different manufacturers are given different measurements to make the same size label so if I buy 3 matching items all size 12, I can expect one to be anything from an 8 to a 16!!

If that's what they told you then I think they were exaggerating. However each size is a range, so that as long as their finished product's measurements fall within that range then they can legitimately claim it IS that size.

Thus clothes that are sold as a size 12 can range from little more than a size 10 to almost a size 14.

The item I wanted to return was a good 4 inches smaller than the other two I had bought. I even got 3 more items made by the same brand from the rail and showed them in the store to prove it. They wouldn't have it though - as far as they were concerned the item was 'fit for purpose' even though all the other 5 labels of the same brand and size were about 4" larger. Thieving gits as far as I am concerned.

Thieving gits as far as I am concerned.

Name and shame ...........what shop was it?

That is how I feel.  I tend to walk around the house ranting  muttering, 'oh yeah I cleaned everything because it's my life work and I just love it'.

BUT, if  I didn't clean it, who in the whole house would be judged if the place was a shit tip and filthy.  ME...THAT'S WHO.  NOT HIM, NOT THE BRAT, BUT ME!!!

Of course.  How did I forget that?  (I know what you mean about probably feeling rather underwhelmed by Wednesday - I'm just praying that they leave the North East out of it this time, we never get anyone decent representing)

I would offer my own services, but you know, skeletons, closets and leaping out is not something I would want.

I know what you mean... unfortunately I think they plan to have Scotland represented again this year - I think we give you guys a run for your money in the bad hm stakes.

Let's both sign up next year!

That's a bit shit

Shocking isn't it? I don't know about anyone else but ...........................is it really any different now we have FM's for Mods? It was nice the other day to see a couple of old faces returning - perhaps we'll get more when BB starts. Hope so.

Soozy Woo

No it's no different (to me) at all Sooz but I can see why some left.  We had the majority of the forum saying we didn't want FM mods but weren't listened to so I suppose that annoyed some people and then maybe the choice of mods might have annoyed others.

So far it seems to be going ok though so hopefully those waiting to see how they felt about the new mods are going to be ok with it and stick around.  Although with BB starting this week it might be a bit of an eye opener as to how the mods will deal with us when we're arguing over HMs

Still....I'm hoping some of those who left might come back for BB.

If I was a mod - I'd be getting nervous now

Be good to see some people come back for BB

I thought there were more than 3 EFFT, Growly, Gypsie and now Veggie are 3 that I know of but I think there were a few more who left quietly aswell?

I'm not too sure tbh, just had it in my head there were more.

Have gaga told us how they are planning on expanding the site?  Would be great to have some new members come for BB.

Ells

The numbers are never gonna be huge here. IMO it's just not that kind of place. I can't see newbies stumbling across the place and if they did I don't think they'd last long. I've been here since the start and even I don't know half of the things people talk about. That's not a slight on anyone here but it would be hard for anyone to get involved who hasn't been reading for years. That made sense in my head but reads like gobbledegook

I just remembered today, because I've been up to the Northumbria County Shows and I was having a little pet of the lambs when one bleated and it's tongue came right out.

Yuk! Just as well I'm not the queasy type. as I'm having my dinner right now.
