Have you had a strange occurrence or something odd happen to you?

Almost everyone has a story of something weird happening.

I have and it was witnessed by someone else too!!

One evening, after a late shift at work I gave a fellow staff member a lift home.

Arriving at her house, it was about 10.30pm we stopped for a while and chatted about this n that.

I noticed a hedgehog about 30ft away and pointed it out,

"Do you get many hedgehogs round here?"

"Oh a few" was the reply.

We watched it for a while as it ran around, stopping then moving on.

We could see it quite clearly.

Suddenly there was a gust of wind, it blew dust and leaves across the road and suddenly the hedgehog was lifted into the air in a huge swirl.

It span around and suddenly became a plastic bag!!

We were stunned - especially as both of us had seen exactly the same thing!!

I was so glad I had a witness.

To this day I can't explain what we saw - it was definitely a hedgehog that swept into the air, span around and became a plastic bag!!

Right in front of us.

I think it was some type of ASDA Animagus

Loads.  When I was a very young teen, my eldest sisters husband was killed in a car accident. A few weeks after I had a what I thought was a dream that the deceased husband came and chatted with me. I spoke to my mother about it the next day & she was freaked because of the things I was tellin.  Thankfulyg her he had told me. it was stuff I would never have known.  To this day, my mother now believes in life after death because of that.

Another thing is since we've moved in to this house.  One of the guys who was doing a lot of the building work for us kept saying he heard a man shouting at him.  We just laughed it off.

However, did I tell you about how we nearly lost Angus dog before Christmas when he was choking in our bedroom?

It was awful, Dan & I had got in to bed, Angus & Gloria had come in as usual. I suddenly was aware of something awful happening & jumped out of out bed to find Angus passing out & choking. Thankfully  Dan was there and scooped the item that Angus was choking on out of his throat.

Anyway to go on about the story, since we moved in we keep hearing a man shout, but it's usually when the dogs are barking... we hear "HEY.....SHUT UP" or just "OI".

So, to get to the story, after talking to my new neighbours it turns out that the man that used to live in our house, choked to death in our bedroom.

Whoah (with an 'h' at the end) Cinds that is quite bizarre and a little scary.

You didn't know someone had died in the house before you bought it?

That was a subject for discussion just yesterday as someone we know has moved in near us, into a house where the previous owner died.

It wouldn't put me off but I know others' wouldn't go near.

When I was about 10yrs old I went on holiday Wales to visit family.

We visited places i'd never seen before

One night I had a dream about pale blue gates at the bottom of a hill. Arched. pale blue gates.

The next day we went somewhere in the car.

Suddenly I saw the gates I dreamt about the previous night!!

Pale blue, arched at the bottom of a hill - the entrance to a graveyard.

Exactly as a saw in my dream (except the graveyard).

I was only a kid - maybe 9 or 10 but it was a very definite memory - I nearly jumped out of my seat!!!

I knew the lady we bought off was a widow, but didn't know any of the details of her husbands death.  Although to be fair, most houses over a certain age have probably had someone die in them.

I have other stories, when I have a bit more time I'll add them to the thread.

I've never experienced anything myself, however my late old uncle told me about the time he was stationed at Edinburgh castle during the war.It was used as an army barracks then.He was on guard duty one night and saw a soldier approach him.No one was allowed to leave barracks at night,so he challenged him etc,the soldier didn't respond he walked right up to my uncle and passed straight through him! Now my uncle was a regular in the army, royal engineers .He swears it happened gave him a right scare too.As regards folk dying in houses, three members of my family have died in my house,my grandfather,my dad,and my brother.I live alone, doesn't bother me in the slightest.I'm pretty sure others must have too,the house is nearly 100 years old.

Stop me if you've heard this one before  ...

I was working nightshift a few years ago. It was like any other night - nothing much happened.

At 6am the sleep over staff came downstairs (2hrs early)

When I asked why they said, "Have you not noticed the car in the car park?"

"No"

"It's been there since 4am"

We had a huge car parking area to the front of the house but due to my seating area to the side of the house I didn't see the car pulling in.

The staff said they weren't sure who it wasbut could be CQSW (Inspection Team).

We ran around the house sorting out Support Guidance, Statement of Purpose, Risk Assessment paper work - getting everything in order.

By 7am our Home Manager arrived, an hour earlier than usual. Behind her was the woman in the car.

She introduced herself (some area manger). I explained I didn't see her pull into the car,

"Oh I've been there since 3am - I'd been to Birmingham (?) cos we'd been told a nightshift staff was sleeping on duty, I went at midnight so we could sack them".

When I asked if they were asleep she said no, so she decided to drive to Newcastle as she was conducting quality assessment reviews and may as well start early!!

"I arrived early and rather than come inside I decided to do some paper work in the car".  Phew!!

So she had been doing 4hrs of paper work in her car!! She looked as fresh as a daisy and obviously in full flow.

She took a laptop out of her bag, flipped it open and asked for my name.

I said my name (she said I didn't need to say 'born in Jesmond'). Odd.

She then began to ask me questions,

"So if I was a visitor and asked for your Statement of Purpose relating to this house, where would I find it?"

"Pardon?"

"I'm just asking about your policy knowledge". She looked quite proud of herself.

"Err ... this is not school I don't want to be tested" I said thinking I had a choice.

Our Home Manger was passing by and the woman 'testing' me said,

"This one doesn't want to answer my questions, I'll have to say refused and that won't look good for your house review".

"Get those questions answered" I was told.

I stumbled through my answers which must have been acceptable as I was 'allowed' to go home!!

What a way to live your life, what kind of job like that gives satisfaction?

It was a bizarre and horrible experience.

Image result for easter island

Easter Island has 887 stone statues

Only a quarter of the statues were installed. Nearly half remained in the quarry at Rano Raraku, and the rest sat elsewhere, presumably on their way to intended locations. The largest moai raised on a platform is known as "Paro". It weighs 82 tonnes

Their purpose remains a mystery

Non Newtonian Fluid

We discovered this by accident at work whilst making custard ... cos you gotta have custard yay!!

And we were being cleverer than Sir Isaac Newton at the same time - it was a win win day in many respects....

If you mix custard powder with a little milk it forms a paste.

If you wobble that paste and keep it moving it will drip off a spoon like a liquid BUT if you let it settle it will harden to a semi solid and if you scrape at it quickly it will break away into powdery bits

So it's a liquid AND a solid depending on how you handle it

This does not conform to Newtons Laws on Viscosity.

Flying up the M6 in the outside lane in the dark.

Luckily I caught it. I dunno how. There was a pickup facing the Armco. Two people in the front seat. I wasn't alone and we knew they dead. Now the funny thing was the pick up would have lights on if it had just crashed. It didn't.

I often wonder what would have happened if I had driven through it.

Look up M6 ghost stories.

So what did you do?

Stop? Call the cops?? . . . . . upload images to Snapchat  or if you're in Hogwarts ... Snape Chat

I really did have such a dream when I was about 8 or 9. I told my parents and they thought it was hysterical
