I don't have the heart or will to continue The Apprentice threads here.

With no disrespect to anyone from GaGa who have tried to make us feel very welcome, I have been lurking for the last week and feel at the moment anyway, that this really isn't the place for me or The Apprentice Thread as it was.

I would rather my involvement with The Apprentice be remembered for the last 4 series on GBBF, the fun, the camaraderie, the debating and the good natured fun that it was. Not what I fear it might become whist there is so much tension in the air at the moment.

So I'm hanging my Apprentice boots up now. It truly was the greatest pleasure to put my name to the thread every week. I have laughed until I've had tears rolling down my face, learnt lots of new words, learnt to debate and accept that I'm not always in the right and these threads for me were the highlight of my forumming days.

I will be about, of course I will still be watching The Apprentice and I can't thank enough the regular contributors who made it what it was, too many to mention and I daren't as I always forgot someone who's contribution should never have been forgotten.

Oh, Mrs BBV, please reconsider. Our weekly Wednesday Apprentice thread won't be the same without you at the helm.

Please don't go and leave us. Who else will take over the reins?

I have to reiterate what Hy says, Mrs. BBV. Please reconsider. I know there's a horrible tone around in some threads at the moment, but it's pretty 'localised' really and the main protagonist hasn't, as yet, entered the Apprentice thread. Won't you give it a go for tonight's show at least and see how it goes? I'd hate to think that the trolls are winning their little game and killing the forum for the people who enjoy it.

I'm sorry but I feel very uncomfortable with the tone, content and lack of on the spot moderation. Quite frankly who needs this whenever they log in?

I will reconsider restarting the thread when some of this madness settles down (if it settles down) but what I'm seeing on here is not me, not what I want to be a part of.

I'm more than happy if some or other of you want to take over the thread but I don't want to be a part of all this really.

I know what you mean Mrs BBV - I'm finding some of the content here rather uncomfortable too but have been limiting a lot of my time to the Games Section in order to avoid all the other stuff which I don't want to be part of.

I don't even know what half of it is all about but it does seem to be that folk are bringing baggage across here from BBGF.

It's a clean slate here and should remain so IMO. Past gripes should be remain in the past.

The Apprentice Thread is you Mrs BBV - even though someone else may be happy to take over the reins, it just wouldn't be the same.

I do see you over on DS from time to time so maybe I'll see you over there instead eh?

I have suggested that you try one thread here to see how it goes ... seeing as you're all here an' all.

However, if it's not going to work we'd be more than happy to see you there to natter about the Apprentice. It's a closed forum though - some of you have joined already I know.

I'm afraid the mods are pretty laid back there as well - but that's mostly because the members are basically a decent bunch of "old timers" who don't cause any trouble.

Having said that I know Mrs BBV is really busy with various stuff right now so tonight might be a toughie for her anyway.

Can I just say I find this place difficult at the moment as well. I think it will either implode shortly (and certainly once BB10 starts) unless the mods get a grip now OR this is all so much like the first night in the BB house with lots of nekkid jacuzziness etc and in a few weeks time it'll have calmed down and be more like Cameron and Steph discussing toe nail clippings.

Thanks Cariad. I hope the place settles down soon, at least the mods have said that they're keeping an eye on the trouble makers, so here's hoping.

Hyacinth - I sent you the link in a PM, I wasn't sure if I should post it on here since it's not my forum - maybe Cariad would know if it's ok?

Sugarettes in general....my gut instinct is it's not the BB Apprentice thread without Mrs BBV, but do you think we should try a thread here and hope it entices her back?

Mrs BBV your apprentice threads and the contributions from lovely posters (who dont have to have constant online psycotic episodes just to prove they exist) ,have been the best thing about the forum in the past.

I TOTALLY understand what you are saying as I too feel this place is a breeding ground for nutters currently.
Maybe if we went to the bolthole to discuss TA, which seems a lovely place , it may be better?

Whatever you decide thanks for the past few years and TA threads,they were fab,I do hope you reconsider accomodation but completely understand the reason .

Well last week on here seemed to go rather well if you ignore the other parts of the board where I believe anarchy reigned. So for this week I'm happy to continue for the time being. I did my initial post (flounce) thinking that's it, but I got few sugarettes pm ing, texting and leaving me messages asking me to reconsider so I thought we'd proceed on a week by week basis.

The Bolthole is a lovely place but just isn't guaranteed to have 30 plus people on at the same time which means TA threads take on a different shape on there. More analytical and less fun and flippancy? But of course all The Sugarettes are welcome at The Bolthole. Cariad's made it all nice and comfy for them and I think the vast majority have signed up. But they won't get an Apprentice thread like they're used to.

Sorry I didn't see and reply sooner and thanks as ever for your support and kindness.
