I'm not sure how many of us will watch the opening ceremonies live - on BBC1 starting time 23.40 on Friday, finishing at 4 am

It is being repeated on BBC2 on Saturday morning from 9.15 to 12.00, presumably in a somewhat edited version.

Think I'll give that a miss

Me too

Given all the teams it always tends to go on , and on, and on .....

I never watched the London Olympics opening or closing ceremonies and won't be watching this one either shake

I think this whole Olympics is a farce anyway as they have let a lot of the banned competitors back in at the last minute. How will clean competitors feel if they are beaten by someone who was a proven drug cheat in the past?

Exactly Moonie. Also, its hard not to be cynical about even apparently "clean" competitors now. How many of them will be exposed, later down the road...

The IOC are a shambles. They could not organise a p**s up in a brewery.

They should have taken this doping scandal by the scruff of the neck and dealt with it instead of palming off the responsibility.

It's completely ineffective management and in any other business that manager would be under a capability or given the boot.

It makes you wonder how many Olympic medals won over the course of the Olympic games have been won unfairly?

I'm not watching through Cable   and prolly I don't have them all any more anyway   I'm on the lowest package now
