argueing about who's God is better

i sometimes wonder about religion

i mean the church is up in arms about gay marriage

does that mean the clergy dont mind abusing/raping the kids

but they draw the line at marrying them?

I agree, and the less powerful are called to fight for the more powerful (Under the guise of religious beliefs)

Difficult to say what their original meanings were.  The Abrahamic religions seem to be cobbled together to control and manipulate the tribal societies where they first flourished.  The Bible was cobbled together by the Romans, who wanted a unifying religion for their economic, social and political ends.  Islam is a reaction against Christianity etc...  I don't think organised religion has ever had entirely selfless ends.

Exactly- it is is often the leaders of state that call on the masses to take up arms and fight for the cause????? the cause is a persons own belief of their religion but they often have to follow the masses.

Most regions have many meanings according to those who are interpreting them. The interpretation is best suited the the countries needs.

I agree that's how it started, but we are in 2012, how do you see it ending?

Odd question - is it gonna end?

I never see it ending

Its become a reason for life - a meaning - a crux in an ever selfish society

It will never end. The world lives for oil, as time goes on those countries will be targeted by foreign powers. Religion plays a part against Israel- being so-called Zionists, they are regarded as enemies of a lot of middle eastern countries. The Israelis have balls though, standing up to those who oppose them after suffering those atrocities during WW2. Good luck to them and watch out those who wish to see them wiped off the planet. ( Iran in particular).  They have risen from the depths and survived.

And a pretty good thought too Tori  (Wonder how long the hammering out would take tho &nbsp

How long will it take for some of those up there in prominent positions to think of this option? Doubt they ever will. Wish they would watch this to get a few hints and tips.

I think it will end, I know I will never see it end, but until it does there will always be, separation and disharmony.

It will end either as man made or from out of the skies. God help or future generations.

I don't think it's confined to just that though
