muf has come up with yet another brilliant idea. I started a new forum under Community Management Info caled "Tips and Tricks". I've already moved some of the featured Help topics to that forum. Now you can post your OWN shortcuts and helpful advice, and then have a place to link from when you help each other.

Because I've moved those topics, I'm also un-featuring them, since you can always find them under Tips and Tricks.

One of my tips & tricks which is really a round about way of using ticker, but for me easier, when I post in a thread add it to favorites/bookmarks, then I can find it, when I've finished with it I delete. It's especially handy for a long running thread like the bar in 'The sinking Ship' I re bookmark then delete the previous bookmark. Also for images on the web, for me it's easier 2 have the same browser up twice and drag the image across into a post rather than all that code lark.

Could i just ask .........................and I'm really not being difficult or funny - but why a new forum for this. I find it a bit tricky manouvering around here and it's pretty obvious that we're low on numbers because other FM's are off elsewhere ......is there a point in fragmenting this forum even more.

I suppose there is a good reason for it but personally I'm finding all these sub groups rather frustrating. I thought we were all gonna be here. I thought this was home.

Soozy it is part of this forum. it's stickied. Also Community Announcements have alway's been part of Gaga and I check it regularly.

Soozy i can see where you are coming from. Most FM's haven't got a " home" where they can return to after exploring this place.

I have Darnell Towers to go to after an exploration, lot's of folk have not been here, coz they think we are a "clique". Far from it-- It's a place where we can chat and meet, and go on explorations from there and know we have somewhere to come back to. You are welcome to come and chat with us,and anyone else for that matter. Just say hi and be welcomed.

Lot's have done lately and have been surprised at the friendship on there. Think this is the prob with some FM's-- No permanent home.

All are welcome at the towers, please give us a try.

But a little tip for those who end up here and don't know how to get back to the main forum, either press your 'back' button on your browser... or
Under the green bar at the top of this page follow the 'breadcrumbs', that is, press on 'GagaJoyJoy'. Then you get back to the familiar layout... click on 'Lounge' or 'BB' or wherever it is you wish to be... and you're home again!

Fluffy how do you do that?

COPY the URL(address) you wish to link to.
Open a reply box and type your reply as normal and where you want your link to be, Type the word/phrase you want to use. Now highlight your word or phrase and click the icon 13th from left (insert/edit link). A box opens for you to complete. Right click in 'URL' line and click paste.
Chose target='open in same window'
TITLE=whatever word or phrase you highlighted.
click INSERT and the box will close and your word or phrase will now beunderlined in your reply box.

Yes, I've just looked at it myself and am using IE and have done the fix and I cant see it either. So it looks like the IE bugs have found a way round the 'fix'.

I'm coming over ......look ot for me. I know it's a bit sad and all that but I'm really feeling a distinct lack of community on here .....never felt the need to align with a 'group' before now but maybe the time is right. Thanks for the invite.
