Sir alan will not be part of policy making in the Government. So he does not need to leave the show.
Noooooooooooooooooooooo he can't!
I won't allow it, I won't *stamps foot* in a Hollie BGT type way (it worked for her )

Hi Darlo
If you read the article you will see it's just one man's opinion. He can carry on doing the Apprentice as long as he wants. Nothing to stop him.
The Tories have never liked Alan Sugar.

.... and I won't be looking at your apprentice spoiler Darlo. I told you I didn't want any spoilers.
it's only the Tories. Ignore them, and he is not in government.
If the tories what something to moan about they should try moaning about UNELECTED peers in the cabinet.
Lord Mandy does not have a mandate to be there, neither does Gladys Kinnock. - at least clown is an elected mp, even if he is not an elected PM!
WOW - you've been treated to a Dobby rant!

You must read up on your history, otherwise it will look as though you are singling out this particular government.

I never really understood what all these 'tsars' are supposed to do.
Lord Sugar doesn't have the same ring to it as S'ralan

From what Sir Alan said this morning on the Andrew Marr programme, he is just going to continue doing what he has always done - advise small businesses, encourage young people into apprentice type programmes and things like that.
The only difference being is that the goverment is going to listen to someone who has actually worked his way up and knows how to make money rather than just spend it.
I'd like to see Sir Alan in charge of the expenses.

Indeed! But it's been a long time coming. Just a shame that he can't take supreme executive power.
Not that I give a toss about that London but it would have been very interesting if he had accepted the nomination for Mayor.

S'OK, Kaytee. Mine's not a knock-off
Me being ever the sceptic, I find it interesting how Alan has suddenly been employed to advise Gordon Brown, given the recent hypothetical (but hugely suucessful) vote for Alan for PM and all the negativity and waning popularity of Gordon Brown...
Hmmm...

I came up with the perfect nickname for Gordon this morning - Gordon the Titanic Brown.
It's pretty bad when the PM has to go out on the street to fill his cabinet!

They've been after getting him on board for ages.

Gordon will be inviting Oasis and the like around next, in some new and innovative way to attach some credibility to himself.

People are so disillusioned & so utterly disgusted by all this, that I have to wonder how many years it will take for at least some vestige of faith in the system can be restored. Voter apathy will be the order of the day for a long, long time. That's for damned sure.
Alan Sugar's presence in the mix might help some, of course. But I can only view this appointment as little more than a PR stunt, borne out of desperation.
Well MP's can get stuffed.
I want all MP's to quit...full stop.
