Ok, so long story short, B (my fiance) has broken his arm and elbow and is awaiting surgery. He's at home at the minute with painkillers and all I can do is keep him medicated and comfortable really. He's having to sleep sitting up almost, and can only sleep in one position - he can't move when he's settled. Our mattress is pretty hard, so he's getting quite uncomfortable legs, and a bit of a numb bum

I thought I'd get a memory foam topper to try and make him more comfy but have no idea what to get. I've seen these 3 if anyone has suggestions, or recommendations of their own

we are on the end of a similar saga but it was shoulder as opposed to arm and elbow ... to get to more of a laying down rather than sitting/propped position we used extra pillows to support the arm ... was able then to get on back or front and the good side ... still wasnt 100% comfortable but the pillow support helped in untensing the bum and legs a little ... dont know if this would work for you at all

so if you can transfer that diagonal comfy position back to a horizontal one by moving the pillows/cushions you can grab your half back

I do sympathise I really do - they dont make good patients and add the pain into it it turns into a nightmare - it took us a few nights to sort the best way to deal with sleeping I will admit
