Marcus Bentley - the "voice of Big Brother."
I thought his accent had become even broader this series; possibly deliberately exaggerated.
"Deeaaa foor`i fiive. Aaa`e foor`i foor `Aay `Emm." (or something like that; I`m not sure how to do it phonetically.)
I was wondering - does it now sound a bit too exaggerated, and do people like it or not?
More importantly, is it needed.
"Some housemates are in the bedroom" is not really needed if we can see them. And in this series the housemates have rarely been named.
"Some housemates are in the garden." Do his remarks add anything?
Just wondered. He slightly annoys me now, mainly because I don`t think it sounds natural.

I noticed only last week that he seemed to be trying to make his accent stronger than usual. Confused But yes, he does need to say things like the HMs are in the bedroom etc for people who are visually impaired.

I would love MB to do the voiceover sarcastically.

"Day 10, Blah has come to the diary room - the big brothers are arguing about who should talk to blah!"

In a Dave Lamb style (he off of CDWM)..? Big Grin

I like MB and his accent, but this series he's been truly hamming it up.
Exactly what I said 8 posts up... Dave Lamb should give Marcus some sarky tips lol Thumbs Up

I like his accent, but the narraton is pointless and utterly superfluous. As Brisket said, we can all see what's going on - the commentary would only be useful to the visually impaired!

Exactly! Thats what I pointed out. His narration is certainly NOT pointless and utterly superfluous! There are many many thousands of people who are visually impaired and enjoy television programmes. We cannot ALL see what is going on. Are you suggesting visually impaired people wouldn't be interested in Big Brother? Confused
