DAMN !!!!!!

My one and only chance and I missed it!!!!

I could have taken her out for a few beers.

It’s back to business for the Duchess of Cambridge, who’s continuing to carry out in-person royal engagements amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, Duchess Catherine paid a visit to a Sheffield-based baby bank called Baby Basics, where she helped unpack donations from over 19 British brands and retailers that chipped in to donate 10,000 supplies for the nation’s most vulnerable families.

For the visit, Kate wore a crisp button-down summer dress by Suzannah with a floral-print face mask by the brand Amaia London. Sporting her usual freshly blown-out hairstyle, the duchess paired the look with delicate gold hoop earrings and pointed toe stiletto pumps by Tabitha Simmons.

Team Meghan!  Meghan's a breath of fresh air to the staid monarchy.  You can see why Kate's nose was put out of joint.  A more attractive more worldly woman with an actual personality.  And the fact that Meghan winds up the people I like to see annoyed is a bonus.  Harry and Megs should carry on doing it their own way!

It's why people are wound up by her that I find fascinating, though. When you look closely, the different standards by which the two couples are judged - particularly by the press - are astounding.

Been meaning to post this article for a long time, as I found it a real eye-opener. 10 pairs of "Royal" press stories; in each pair, the actual "news" being reported is identical, except that one's about Kate and the other's about Meghan. However the difference in the tone of the reporting is that of night and day...

"Over the years, Meghan has been shamed for the same things for which her sister-in-law, Kate, has been praised."

Owen Jones has highlighted how the English press has the knife in for Meghan and compliments Kate while chastising Meghan for the same behaviour.  Of course, before Meghan, they had the knife in for Kate and before Dianna's tragic death they had the knife in for Dianna -  big style!

I like that Harry met a confident woman who with or without Harry was successful on her own terms from a humble background and has her own mind, ethics and spirit of her own.  Kate, being a vapid facsimile of what a princess should be.  I'm not a royalist but of all the royals Harry and Meghan are the standout best...
