Yes, it's the most lurid atmospheric storm in the atmosphere arranging gases in a distinct interaction that creates a red shade .  As Jupiter has no land or seas the outer atmosphere just carries on with the fairly consistent temperature and atmospheric composition unlike there would be on Earth, with mountains, sea, lowlands, highlands causing fluctuations in temperature and atmospheric composition - plus Jupiter receives so much less energy from the sun that the temperature and chemical fluctuations are much more muted.

yes, there's bucket loads of theories on the universe and its origins.  IMO, if you put every new born in an isolated room and taught them a language so they could articulate their thoughts and told them about the world, every single one of them would come up with different creation myth.
