HMRC has announced in the last hour that their Job Retention Scheme will be ready to launch on 20 April. They will be contacting employers as to what they need to do to make the claim.

They will need the following information on each of their furloughed employees:

  • National Insurance number

salary, National Insurance and pension contribution information that         allows business to calculate the claim amount.

Thanks Moonie

I think it may get mentioned in the government update later today as there are millions of people who are furloughed and it's the news that employers have been waiting to hear.

It's the Chancellor doing the update shortly - that makes sense as it would be him announcing that the Job Retention Scheme is to be launched on the 20th.
