theyre dropping like flies in the labour camp

and

im pleased, i reckon theyre all jumping before theyre pushed, tony blair fan club is leaving the building

i bet theyre all thinking that jezza will have to give up & they can all go back to better upgraded jobs when new leader is appointed

well, personally if jezza DOES go, i sincerely hope the new leader will tell 'em all to piss off cos theyre not to be trusted

tony blair is right in the middle of this 'coup' or as its better known 'throwing the toys out of the pram'

margaret hodge decides to lead the no confidence vote-forgetting that we all know that she covered up child abuse & also forgetting that millions of us-yes even the poorest of us-can get to a computer-to find out about her cover up

some bloke in daily mirror banging on about getting rid of jezza-totally underestimating public support, he now finds his poll (last time i looked at over 70% in favour of jezza staying

laura kuenssberg on BBC news is only banging on about no confidence in jezza

but not mentioning that gidieon has gone missing, dave has had to resign because of his constant bullshit, the country is in disaray,we might end up with that fat oaf johnson with the village idiot gove by his side

nigel farage thinks he's in charge cos all the tv stations gave him airtime

students moaning because 'old' people voted and its 'their future'

when you hit 30+ you still have a say in how you want the country to be

its not f*cking logans run

i fear for this country-not because of brexit or its government

but because of the brainwashing media & the fools that believe it

I would personally vote for him again....Hilarity Benn can kiss my ass, this card carrying member will stay in and vote again for JC or someone with his honesty if I can find one  The actual vote for remain amongst labour voters was 63% as far as I'm aware, although this was planned a long while ago and if it hadn't been this it would have been something else.

He could have filled the cabinet with yes men, but being fair minded he wanted a cabinet from both sides of the party and they have repaid that with this...and ignored the labour party membership, idiots

edited to say * I left because of Blair and rejoined to vote for JC and then went back to full membership, I will leave if a Blairite replaces him*

Agreed.

Hang on in there, Jeremy!

If a vote of no confidence was enforced; who would dare challenge JC – given the strength of his mandate achieved just 8 months ago?

his name must go on the ballot paper, he doesn't have to be nominated and I for one would be confident in thinking he would have a larger mandate. I know loads in the groups I'm in have become full member today just to vote for him if push comes to shove CS

It all seems a bit cloak and dagger to me – wasn’t Seema Malhotra fronting up a press conference with him just yesterday?

I’m not currently a party member but I am still in regular contact with my local team.

Corbyn may be a principled politician(if there is such a thing), but he's not the right man to lead Labour at present. They need a firebrand who knows how to fight his corner and Jez isn't that

I see it like that too Kaytee. He's such a lovely decent man and a breath of fresh air. Can he survive if he won't play dirty like the rest of them though? He's just a whipping boy a.t.m.

Or... could sacking Benn, be the start of a new bad@ss Jeremy Corbyn?   Hope so!

Thanks for that, Dame.  I am so pleased that he's not allowing  people to bully him out of office and if the conspirators don't like it then they can bugger off and join some other party.

I, for one, am delighted that there is a socialist leading the Labour Party at long last.

and me too Madame, politicians over the last three/four decades are self serving liars, I truly admire him for his principles alone. I was ecstatic when his name came up to be nominated

I can also reveal that our branch has started the morning with internet based open warfare. I am so angry! I will never forgive the Blairites for this.

Some of us are trying to keep the idea of a referendum rethink to the fore, a mechanism where no-one loses face and then they come wading in with their handbags.

Mark Mardell on R4 mentioned another string to the crisis of hegemony which no-one including me had picked up on, and that is a complete realignment in UK politics. Suddenly a few Tories are talking sense and I know Anna Soubry knows to whom I refer. The major victors seem to be Nichola Sturgeon and her pan political SNP bunch!

Update: Tom Watson source furious at BBC for claiming Tom Watson directly asked Corbyn to resign, wants them to apologise and retract story.

The BBC's original story was published just before I posted at 10.41 and was revised by 10.55 but there's no sign of any apology on the link to the BBC story.

He is the right man I think.   Just because his politics are different, people can't handle that

He may appeal to the left wing labour voters but he doesn't ring anyone else's bell tbf. To win an election he has to appeal to a heck of a lot of the electorate and he simply doesn't

Deputy Labour leader Tom Watson has told Jeremy Corbyn he has "no authority" among Labour MPs and warned him he faces a leadership challenge.

The two men met after a spate of resignations from shadow cabinet.

(The above BBC article had said that Tom Watson had told Jeremy Corbyn to resign but that's been changed)

I have always said Corbyn is not the man to lead Labour to the next election. Labour won't win with him at the helm.

As to who they can elect to win, I have no idea tbh. That to me is quite sad.

theres a saying that if you repeat it enough people will start believing

The whole point about the Labour party is that we've lost a lot of voters to the right wing. They have been seduced by lazy political analysis to a party that isn't really interested in their needs.

We've had a set to today! Some think we should chase the UKIP vote! I shall probably flounce.

ive no idea why they were in labour-they shoulda pissed off to the tory party in the first place
