Well up here it is anyway.

However as it's not hugely cold (reelatively speaking) and the ground's already wet, it's not lying.

Awwww nooooooooooooo!!  Well as long as it doesn't stick around then that's ok, if my OH can't get to work I will cry.  Partly due to the money and partly because he drives me mad when at home

I don't think you're alone there.  I love my hubby and love it when we're together on weekends and when we go away for weekends, and I love spending the 2 weeks Christmas hols together and going on holidays...BUT whenever he has been off long term (ish) and it's for like several weeks (like off sick or when he was off after a knee op for SIX weeks) I really wanted to scream at him being at home ALL THE TIME.

It was Ok for the first 2 weeks or so, then after a while it got to me a bit.....I just couldn't do anything: he was underfoot half the time... and I had NO quality 'me' time.. I really think it's bad for a relationship to be together 24/7.  In fact, I don't think it's good to be together 24/7 with ANYone.

Mine is for purely selfish reasons like him snoring in the mornings when I'm trying to have a lie-in or him sleeping most of the day away while I'm cleaning/cooking   And he's a grumpy so and so when he can't get out and about whereas I'm the opposite I could happily not leave the house for a week!

LOL, I know what you mean...   I guess it's OK if it's planned time off and you have stuff arranged and know you're going to be together... but when he is just off without you expecting it (like off sick for 2 weeks,) and he is just 'in' all the time, it can be a bit disruptive.

Thing is, when my hubby is not working for whatever reason, he just stays in the house the WHOLE time.  He won't go out without me and when I want to go out alone, sometimes he is OK, but sometimes he sulks and takes it personally.....  but all I want sometimes is to be alone for an hour or two.

I have 3 good friends: all married who are exactly the same... They love their hubbys, but agree that  time apart is essential: even if it's only 4 or 5 hours a day.    An ideal marriage for my hubby is for us to be together 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and he can't fathom why I don't think the same.

Mr Fluffy Thing went down to the garage to get the snow shovel. Checked this, looked at that....and cane back up without the shovel!

Rexi, looks like it won't get as far South as Manchester.

I've got some lying on the ground atm. We always get it quite bad because the village is high up (geographically speaking). The nearest town is only 2-3 miles away, and often has no snow at all, while we have several inches.

I hope you sent him back to the garage to get the shovel.
