That is a familiar name... don't know where from... OK.. I understand now. I'm just sooooo suspicious of Facebook now that I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot cattle prod. It doesn't particularly matter that the forum people know... I was just curious about how the news spread out and it wasn't clear. The comments are still well appreciated believe me.

But there is no reference to Ditty in the OP here Stuart.   The announcement was made by Aquarius here, as you've seen, plain and simple.

OK - can now see that the link I had went to page 2 of the listing, hence the panic and confusion. But... I wonder who 'Aquarius' and 'Veggie' really are seeing as I only told the family in the US when Suzi died on July 6th... just curious you understand...

Dear Stuart, have only just read this thread but haven't read all the replies, just some. My sincerest condolences to you and all your family members and friends at such a deep loss. I agree with all the posters who've spoken about Suzie in the way they have. For anyone to leave an imprint on others they may never have met physically says a great deal about the person, not everyone can do that.

One of my very dearest friends of many years died a week ago and her funeral was on Wednesday, her hubby who loved her to bits is devastated, as all of us who knew her are. No words of mine can soften the pain you're going through Stuart but I totally empathise xxxx For Suzi I wish Peace to her Soul regardless of any beliefs she may have had.

Hi Stuart -sincere condolences , Suzi was a good un , loved reading her posts .Missed her when she stopped posting on here, and so sorry to hear the news.

Probably not many of us know who Aquarius and Veggie are in the 3D world ( which may be a testament to forum security ) , but it looks like what has happened is that someone, somewhere who knew Suzi has posted the news on Facebook and it has filtered back to us via, as Lori says, people who are in touch with each other outwith here.

She was held in high regard here ( as you'll have seen from the posts in this thread), and was often mentioned in  the " where are they now?"-type threads that crop up on here from time to time as someone whose posts were missed - I think this would be why the news was posted on here .  I get what you're saying about Facebook (I'm wary of it myself! ) , but I think some on here kept in touch with Suzi via Facebook , and that may be the source of the news ?

Stuart, my deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family.  

I hope you can at some point in the future take some comfort from knowing how well loved and respected Suzi was here in forum land.  When I first joined the forum a few years ago Suzi was the first person I spoke to, her sense of humour drew me right to her.  I had a great deal of respect for her and feel honoured to have known such a wonderful woman.  I assure you I will certainly be taking time on Tuesday to remember her and to think of you and your family.

One of our CH4 forum mates (Veggieburger) who recently deregged from this forum found out about Suzi's sad passing and asked me (via FB) to let everyone know.  I'm not sure how Veggie found out, but the internet is a big family and Suzi was much loved.  I cried as I posted the news ~ such horrible news ~ to people who have been forum buddies with her for more than a decade.  I wish I could be more informative.  I do know that another of Suzi's forum buddies (Cagney) was emailing Veggie yesterday, she might have more details and if she does I'm sure she will post with more clarity than I have.

Could I just add Stuart, since seeing your alarm about FB, I was told by private message.  There's no way either Veggie or myself would dishonour Suzi in that way.

Was really sad to hear this news yest  Best wishes and condolances to Stuart and her family...she was one of my longest forum friends. I will always remember all the laughs we had together.  RIP Selma Bouvier!

OK folks - all is clear... seems members of the family posted something into Suzi's facebook page and it all snowballed from there. And sorry for being a bit sharp last night - a little too much wine and far too late in the night for clear thinking. Once again many thanks for all your kind thoughts.

OK guys - I'm quite overwhelmed by everyone's response to Suzi and of course I should realise that most of you may be in the UK. So if anyone can make it to Halifax on Tuesday at 13.30 you are welcome to attend the funeral. You were as much a part of Suzi's life as anyone else so why shouldn't you be there to give her her final send off. OK - without breaking forum rules, how do I get the details to you? Jenstar? let me know

I only just heard this last night, so sad...Suzi Q was hilarious.....her threads were the best....hope her and Brisket are having abit of a party up there.....so unfair! x

Hello again Stuart. Jenstar may not be around for a while. If you had communication with Lori regarding your security concerns you could give her the details perhaps? There is also a private messaging function, here called 'dialogs' at the top right of your forum page so you could message Lori, Jenstar or any other moderators as listed on the front page of the forum. I do hope someone from here is able to go to the funeral to show all our respects for a remarkable woman.

So terribly sorry for your loss Stuart...i loved her threads, especially the Eviction Night ones, though there were many, many equally brilliant ones.......she was one in a million....I will say a prayer for you all tonight and I shall take a minute out at 13.30pm on Tuesday and close my eyes and think of you all....Good night and god bless Suzi Q.....xxxxxx

Stuart I am so sorry for your loss,your precious wife Suzi,I'm in Ireland so getting to the mainland on Tuesday would be impossible,I will however light a little candle and say a prayer that Suzi will rest in peace and god will comfort you and all the family during this heartbreaking time,xxx

Got to say I agree, this isn't an ordinary situation . 

And you should have seen her with the junior registrars in hospital (baby doctors she called them). 'Takemy blood?' she would have said. 'I'd like to see you try..' She had so many areas where blood had been taken she didn't have an arm you could take more from, I have plenty of amusing stories to tell when she was in hospital

Baby doctors ! 

I remember her calling them that when she was having dialysis .. she cracked me up with some of her tales
