I would never be that caught up in the experience that I would spend £500 on someone I had only known for 7 weeks.

 i have to admit i could see myself doing something like that ....in RL I'd have trouble spending that amount on even my kids  but in there .... if it was money that wasn't real ..... in that enclosed environment ..... I think I'd be up for it 

I could see where Aaron was coming from, he said he hadn't ever spent that amount on his son, so he wouldn't feel right spending that kind of money on HM's.

Aaron was happy for Jay and Louise to be stupid with their money, as he said that he didn't want to do it, but told them to go ahead, if they wanted.

 

What shocked him, was the fact that they said no and then sneaked back in without telling him, or warning him, thus making him feel like a twerp at the party, getting hugs for gifts he hadn't bought.

Whatever their motivations, the pressies that Jay & Louise bought Tom & Alex made their birthdays uber special..   there is a thrill to doing something like that for someone...    & like Hoochie says, its not real money in the real world to them in there.

 

So yeah Hoochie..   I too could see myself doing that.

 

As for them going behind Aarons back...  he couldn't have made it clearer that he was not going to entertain the idea of getting them anything, as was his prerogative. 

 

It was the way he dealt with it when the pressie giving time came that made him look bad...  he should have just come clean... laughed it off..    and partied.   he could at least have put a brave face on things.

 

 

Aaron needs to put his game face on..   he's making the others (even Tom who I seriously can't stand) look good 

Yeah, Jay was so up for it he said he felt physically sick aboot spending 500 poond on a present. 

 

Still, maybe his "generosity" will get a him some glory votes and a better chance of getting his mitts on the 50 grand.

Theoretically Loo & Jay spent Tom & Alex's own money as well as theirs & Aaron's, if the plan is to share. Aaron kept grounded and knew £500 gifts were way too OTT. My only criticism is Aaron would have been better to say to Loojy that they could be portrayed badly Earlier on.

BB is going to pay the allocated amounts into their bank accounts after the final show and agreed in the DR the revised amounts with them if they purchased the gifts - as an after thought Jay actually said we arnt spending our money we are spending BB's 

 

BB was only still offering price ranges that Aaron did not have enough  money  for - if he had wanted to he would have had to choose one or the other to buy a gift for 

 

I would also imagine he was riled at the way Louise was going on about the gifts and how much they cost ......  you never declare how much a gift cost in my book !!!

 

of course it's possible hoochie .... but all this Aaron worship has made people delusional ..... I've just been reading Digital Spy .... They have Louise down as some evil genius .... .... if only she was half as clever as people there believe she is

For one I'm not delusional and no I don't get carried away with money for people I don't know..

For two Louise has done movies and modelling so we don't know how much she already has in her bank account and it might not seem much to her but Jay clearly did'nt want to do it he said so, he agreed with Aaron, it was only cos Louise wanted to go ahead with it he felt he had too..and if the pair of them had two brain cells to rub together they'd have seen what BB was up too....BB had started at gifts worth £1,500 then dropped to gifts for £500..Aaron was right if they'd have waited cheaper gifts would have come out or whats wrong with doing what past HMs have done and made gifts?....I would'nt mind but the gifts looked shit..

And I've seen Louise and Jay compared to Brady/Hindley on DS - some people get a bit carried away.

 Some people either have a warped sense of humour and think they are being funny/clever....or...they are just warped!

My point is £500 might not seem much to her and going on the people on here that have cried poverty over time I'm surprised at some of the responses....

Jay and louise did it for brownie points with the public and to make Aaron look bad....so they could spend most of last night's show going on and on about it.There was nothing *nice* or altruistic there, just naked self-interest.

 

I agree with Aaron, I woudn't spend that amount of money on anyone for a single present, unless I was rolling in it of course and then the amount would mean nothing

but as one of them said earlier in the week (& I think it was Aaron.. though I could be wrong) when they were divvying up the money..     its all a drop in the ocean compared to what they will earn from PA's & magazine interviews etc when they leave the house.. 

 

Its been a long time since the prize money has been the incentive to win
