Hope it’s a bit calmer over your way now EC and Renton

Thanx Baz

We're not as bad as EC for sure … lots of rain though

Lollipop bay tree blew off our steps and cracked the glazed pot

It could be worse - no flooding here - yet

Well, it stopped raining overnight and it's been bright today with a short spell of rain, nothing to write home about. The cleanup seems to be going well, although traffic is slow, it's gradually getting back to where it should be.

Fingers crossed you don't get it Sainty. I'm just wondering what winter has in store this/next year!

The rainfall figures say something.

“Assuming it's now stopped raining for a while, we recorded 74.1mm of rainfall in Sheffield for the last 24 hours. To put that into context, the average rainfall for November is 79mm,” a post on the weather station’s Twitter account said".

At its peak, the rain last night fell at over 9mm in an hour. The rainfall for Sheffield's autumn 2019 currently stands at 414.4mm - our second-highest on record.”

Paul Hudson, the weather presenter for BBC’s Look North, added: “Thursday is now the wettest November day on record in Sheffield with 74.1mm, beating the previous set in 2000.”

Weather data has been recorded in Weston Park since 1882, making it one of the longest-running stations in the country.

I'm very good thanks Machel. I' lucky as I live on the second floor of an apartment block reasonable high up a hill.  It's all looking better now.
