Go to Manage on the black bar at the top of the page and then scroll down to Settings (it's the first one). You can unblock emails on that by clicking on Suspend All Email Notificatons at the bottom of the page.
I unticked everything as well just in case.
If you have a Facebook Account it's the same thing.

As brisket said make sure you click on Update Settings.
Good luck. It's not scary over there at all.

I did that. I still get emails.
It's not easy on LC. You have to do it for every group you join and also in your preferences you have to untick the box that says you want to "watch" the threadds you post in. Bloody annoying!

I suspended all my email notifications (last count 138) but will find it much easier when the forums kick in and you just have to post.

I was getting a lot of emails from posts by people I had nevcer heard of, even though I had unclicked everything in sight. I was getting many from, I assume, Groups yet I have not joined any and I had only posted in the support forum a couple of times.

Lori suggested that I click on the Vacation button to stop all emails. Guess what? I forgot to do that until right this very minute. I will go and do it now before I forget again. Laugh

You're welcome RS. You posted in the Sinking Ship this evening when I was there. I said Hi but I don't know if you came back because my pc crashed because I had more than one tab open.

BB aren't you using IE. It seems that's causing a lot of problems.
I have a problem here on GaGa with Firefox. I couldn't see the avatars or smileys and it shut down every few minutes.
I changed to Google Chrome and I haven't had any problems with it - bar having a very slow pc.
Tayto.

Hello Tayto. I read something recently by a moderator who said IE had nothing to do with any of the problems.

Dear god no I wouldn't know how to do that. It's just that if you have an O2 mobile you can get this deal for 15 quid a month and they give you this dongle thingy that you plug into your computer. Beyond me but it works occasionally Big Grin

Oops. Hi BB. Wave Someone said it had. Laugh

I'm involved with a youth organisation and if something isn't done or goes wrong when we bring them away they always say "well someone said............".
Think I just fell into the same trap there.
Sorry BB.

Would this errmm dongle work with a laptop? Are you saying it works via a mobile phone system? Do you have to have an account with Orange to get one? Do you have to have a certain type of mobile phone that plugs into your laptop?

So many questions. But though we don't have any mobile phone reception in our house, something like this would be handy for using with my laptop if I was away from home. Is this what it is for?

I'm sure I was right. I think it may have been Dave GaGa who posted it. It was just in the last couple of days I think. But there again, I could be wrong. Laugh

So someone said......... Laugh

Great for moving around but if you're Internet signal isn't good it won't be any good either.

I am getting so confused now. Confused The signal I get from my router is good. It's my BT connection to the house that is bad.

I don't have any mobile phone signal in my house.

So would this thing work if I was away from the house? It works in place of BT and the router I'm thinking?

As far as I'm aware this forum is being moved over lock stock and barrell shortly. I'm under the impression it'll be a similar set up to this. Until it's moved it's not there.

hope I'm right cos I'm not keen on it as it stands at the mo.
