I told her earlier it'll cost her ÂĢ100 everytime one of the horses races for me not to put a bet on.

 Everyone's a winner then!

Surely you should be happy that the horse won rather than you winning? As its great achievement for that horse who probably has so much pressure on it to win and when it does all people care about is how much money they earned off of it.  That poor little horse's heart, racing to win, for him/her, to show all the other horses how its done and when it does win, no-one cares because they didn't put any money on it. Poor little horse, trying to hold back its little horsey tears until it goes to bed so it can cry itself to sleep on that great big horse-shaped pillow of his/hers.

Poor little horse

I hadn't thought of it like that.

Actually poor little horse my eye...my mum treats them like bliddy pets. She's even on about buying a new house with stables attached so the horses will have somewhere nice to retire to. I want somewhere nice to retire to and I ain't gonna get it if she keeps spending all my inheritance on bliddy horses though!

hello Queenie

i was on at 6/1 today  i think it may have been as big as12/1 in the morning

you should've backed it as you know it loves the soft going, it piddled down for about 14 hours before the race

unlucky on the other one but just to have a runner at the royal meeting must have been a great buzz for your mum, say thanks to your mum for me and keep me informed on Quest For Success

Strike!

I'm glad you did ok with Questy. It was his first race since his injury back in March so I'm not sure anyone thought he'd do as well as that.

Mum and dad got a massive buzz out of Ascot. They've never done anything like it before. It's just a shame that GD didn't run well. It looks like he may have a leg injury which would explain his performance. He's being taken care of now though and mum won't allow him to be run again until they're sure he's completely fit.

I'm a bit rubbish really, I'm not that into racing so tend to glaze over when they talk about it!  If I hear anything on either horse though I'll keep you posted!
