well hopefully the crowd will laugh...maybe at him more than his routine but i'll be gutted if he goes i'm not ready to lose ben yet

But if Ben does have to do this, won't it give him a very good idea of the feelings of the crowd.
For example if they do not boo him this time. Or if he sees placards about housemates, or hears chants for against other housemates.
This could give him knowledge other housemates would not have.
If they want to hide these clues from Ben, how can they ensure the crowd don't give anything away?

I don't want to lose him.
His interraction with The Tree  has been a great episode. BB (and the Tree should be thanking him for it.

I think that`s an evil thing to do to Ben.  He`s a glum character by nature and poles apart from comedy acting and they should know that.

I'm not the biggest fan of Ben's, but I find this grossly unfair. After Shabby told Keeva everything about her task and Keeva was given 90 minutes punishment listening to a taped conversation. I could understand it if they put people up for nomination discussions, but this I thinks wrong on so many levels.

Gathering from what BBLB just said:

Ben will walk through the doors, there will be a mic stand and he has to give a stand up performance to the crowd. The punishment being the crowd will not be laughing. Ben will then return to the house.

He's a hapless fop, but he hasn't been nominated,  and the public haven't had any input as to whether they want him to go this week!  Grossly unfair, whether you like  him or not.  IMHO!!!
