Hicky

sorry you have another water infection. Hope you can manage to get the scropt  picked up so you don't need to pay for a taxi.

Pity the gales were such a nuisance whilst you were in the garden. But glad you managed to get a bit done.

Yes I tend to agree with you, it looks like Emptybox has not read any of that book, he will be so gratefull that you have provided a useful quote from the book for him.

Yes you will like the kiddies bit on that episode of CBB, they are so cute.

You are probably right to suggest the HMRC thing is a bit of a con trick.

Our accountant has told me I can claim married allowance but she can;t do it for me, I have to ring them myself or register online. And of course we all know how complciated that will be! She said that is why there has been such a small uptake on this allowance, people obviously can't be bothered or give up if their accountants aren't allowed to do it for them! It will save us around ÂĢ95 this year, so I reckon it is worth me trying. Probably need to free a whole half day just to register online with them!

Emptybox

sounds like you had a fair amount of snow, I bet it did look pretty.

Has it melted yet?

Yes think it could be worthwhile you giving tumeric a try. As you can see Hicky has another link. I got mine from Amazon. I did read having some black pepper in it helps absorb it. I know I dont get any in my diet, but Hicky probably gets a lot of tumeric in his diet as eats quite a bit of curry.

Carers say mum quite a bit better today, which is good as they only managed to get a small cup of honey water down her all day yesterday and no food at all. Her cough was so bad, she kept coughing and choking, so panicking when they tried to give her anything yesterday. But they got some soup down her and plenty of fluids including pineapple juice today.

I woke up with a bad headache this morning as I had not slept much worrying how mum was.  OH took me over to her flat late last night to check on her and she was sleeping soundly.

Looking forward to relaxing in front of CBB now, enjoy the show.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Hi guys.
There was a bit more snow last night, but not much, and it's been melting today as it was sunny.

I wasn't going to go out today, but I heard that there's more heavy snow on the way tonight, so decided to go into town this afternoon, while the roads weren't too bad. Took a long time to de-snow the van first though.
I went to Lidl and got a couple of bottles of wine, and paid my paper bill at the newsagents.
No disasters this time, as I kept them safe in the front of the van.
(I thought you were making that book up Hicky, but beginning to think there actually is such a thing. ).

Unfortunately the natural pharmacy, where I was going to see about turmeric, was closed because of the snow, so I'll have to look for that another time.
Thanks for another Amazon link Hicky. I'll have to see what the conditions are like before I order online. If I'm snowed in they won't be able to get to me. I'm already worried about my Freeview HD box that's supposed to be coming in the next couple of days.
I'll have to order oil soon too, so hope the snow doesn't stay long.

Hicky. That's not good that you have another infection. Is it just another course of anti-biotics?
Hope the drill you've ordered is suitable. Is that for making holes in the ground?
Pity you had the high winds. It was sunny and calm here in the snow. Wet though.

Mollie. Glad your Mum is eating better anyway. Pity you are losing sleep over it.
Don't envy you, if you have to spend hours on the phone to HMRC.
I put turmeric in all the stews I make, and my spag bol. And eat quite a few curries, but seemingly you get it in a much more concentrated form in the capsules. Certainly be worth trying them for a while anyway.

emptybox

Evening All.

Calmer today, a rough night windwise, 5c today, rain mainly, winds down to 17.

Got my antibio's at last as o/h went to her mums and took her shopping so got them started at last.

Did very little in the garden just trying top move a few trees in the same line as the 3 plums i moved, problem is the plum trees are Cordons so they slope rather than grow vertical so unless i can change the root to grow vertical they are going to be a bit tight.

Have ordered a Tongue scraper and a 20cm square tin to make fudge in.

I have found this incredible man, he's/it's called Grandpa Kitchen, he cooks for many orphan children some fantastic meals and is getting better at speaking English as well, don't know if this link will work but his Youtube video's are all worth watching.

Emptybox

hope you order your oil soon with winter being so bad up there.

Hicky

hope you got in your garden today.

A devastating day for me.

I rang mum's carer at 9.30am today, mum was watching Song of Music and moving her hands in time to the music, but carer said her cough was bad with all the phlegm in her throat. By 11am the carer rang to tell me mum had died. I am in shock as we thought she was getting over this, but her heart could not take all the coughing. If I had a choice it was a good way to go, not drawn out in hospital, but of course it is still so hard to take. My 2 special carers too were so upset and stayed with me until the undertakers took mum's body away.

M

So so sorry Mollie. It must be devastating for you.
Perhaps not unexpected, but still a shock happening so suddenly.
But probably a mercy that she was enjoying music one minute and gone the next.

Doesn't seem right to witter on about other things today, but I'll just say that the forecasted heavy snow never came, so it's been another day of sunshine and melting snow. Still a lot left though.
My TV box came as well, and it seems fine.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

Such an awful shock that something like that can happen so sudden, one minute enjoying the music next minute gone.

Cool and windy here 4c with rain and sun but 17 winds.

Double eviction tonight, and with Daniel being swapped with Maggie, not sure who will go.

Had soft boiled eggs for brekkie but made an unusual meal for tea, was watching one of those Grandpa Kitchen videos and i saw this one of Tomato Rice so wrote down the recipe, had most of what was needed so tried it, i probably didn't get the quantities right as he was cooking for dozens of children, i didn't put enough cooked rice in either.

Hicky

both xxx

Emptybox

just you witter on all you want, it gives me something to focus on, which I really need to do, so I don't overthink about yesterday and then get upset.

Hope you are pleased with your new tv box, is this the one you said you'd have in your bedroom?

Any more snow forecast? The air feels real cold here right now, but yet it is about plus 7, so it must be the cold wind. My washing dried well though.

Hicky

just boiled egg for brekkie? that was a mini brekkie compared to your usual types of brekkies.

Shame your recipe didn't work out quite right, but as it is meant for dozens of children, it must be hard to work quantities out.

I am tired but can't sleep, tossed and turned till about 2.30am last night, then still woke early.

Am not enjoying my food and bursting into tears at stupid stuff, eg, OH asked if I wanted anything from the supermarket and I naturally thought "mum needs some yogurts", then I burst into tears saying , "no she doesn't, she'll never need anything from me ever again"...

Yesterday's carer went to mum's house at her usual 3.45pm, as she didn't know what to do and just sat and thought about her. The other carer took mums other  toy to bed with her. Both carers are so sweet.

One carer put mum's fave Disney scarf round her neck and put her fave Elmo toy in her hand before the undertaker took her away. It was more than a job to them.

Yesterday after calling 999, the poor carer said she was screaming and swearing at the phone for them to just hurry and arrive, as she was so desperate and they were guiding her through CPR. She said she knows she broke mums ribs, the medics took over when they got there, but then realised I had a "Do not resusitate" form so stopped. A form I felt guilty for filling in, but I knew she would have just end up being scared in hospital with broken ribs if they had succeeded. Carer said she couldn't stop doing CPR because she loved her so much, she didn't want to lose her. Human instinct I guess. That carer feels  traumatised now and I feel lost.

I am glad I had CBB to watch tonight though, it all helps to occupy my frettfull mind right now.

I can't take to that Daniel, a shame he was subsituted for Maggie.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Hi Hicky.

Yes, I hope Mollie is coping and has her family round her.

She'll probably will be very busy with arrangements, and won't have time to dwell too much hopefully.

Rather dull here today, with more snow showers, but didn't amount to much.

Hope you enjoyed your tomato rice? Doesn't sound very substantial though. Was there anything in it other than tomatoes?

Might take a look at some of those videos.

Sad to see Rachel go, but not surprised. Perhaps didn't let herself go enough for the BB audience, but I really liked her. Looking forward to seeing her on BOTS.

emptybox

Hi Mollie. You popped up just before me.

The TV box is for the Dining room TV (which used to be in the bedroom). But I hardly watched it in the bedroom, so wasn't bothered about HD.

It's natural that it will take you a while to get used to your Mum not being there, and will get upset at random things. You must try to get plenty of sleep and keep eating though.

Sorry to hear there was a certain amount of drama around yesterday, with 999 being called and CPR etc. I'd hoped your Mum had just passed away peacefully.

I think you were absolutely right with the DNR form though.

The carers sound like they went above and beyond, and were really fond of your Mum.

Glad you could get a bit of relief by watching telly.

On the one hand I don't like Daniel at all, but he seemed to be close to Rachel, so perhaps wasn't all that bad?

emptybox

Good Afternoon Both. :

Mollie, it's going to be tough for some time and you do need to eat and sleep or you will suffer even more.

The carers did all they could and didn't know about the DNR request, at least she had a pain free end which was best.

The carers will be in shock now for a while, also, what do they do now.

Emptybox, Yes, i also liked Rachel obviously the public don't, they won't notice Maggie has even gone, Anne won't be going anywhere any time soon unless it's a backdoor exit without the public vote.

I the Tomato Rice meal i put Carrot & Onion, the video had another veg, but i didn't have any.

We went out for brekkie as o/h's working hours have been altered as they don't want her starting early so she will have to start at 7am but Sunday at 10am which isn't good, she is blazing.

Am thinking of making a Laksa Soup for tea as i have whats needed to make it now.

My 19mm drill arrived which i'm pleased about, also i had ordered a 20cm sponge cake tin which arrived as well, i want it for the Fudge which i will be making soon, have the ingredients for that as well.

The rain was due to stop at 3pm and i think it has so will take a trip around the garden for a bit, 3c with winds of 4.

The Voice tonight and DOI tomorrow, goody.

I do seem to be sleeping better and my tongue isn't so dry and nasty, not sure if it's the change of inhaler but it could be.

Hicky

both

Emptybox

that's nice you have the HD in the dining room now. Did you use it whilst eating your sphag bol tonight?

Saw the forecast and it really looks cold up in your area today. It is cool here and was raining quite a lot earlier, but not cold enough for frost. Did you manage to order your oil?

Hicky

that is good you went out for brekkie.

Gosh that is awful with them just changing your OH's hours like that. It is annoying if she used to enjoy finishing a lot earlier, because I think she used to start a lot earlier than that didn't she?

Did you make your laska soup today? If so, hope you enjoyed it.

And hope your fudge comes out nice.

Glad you are sleeping better, and sounds like your new inhaler will suit you better, which is good.

Had a really difficult day again, got a few hour sleep, but still woke real early, so went to asda by 7am. Every time I went past something I would of bought mum I cried.

Eat a bit of toast and bit of pizza for tea, but it hurt my stomach, so will have to just eat little and often, till I calm down a bit.

Yes shame that Rachel went, she was an interesting HM.

I missed the beginning of CBB tonight, so annoying how they move it to 5* on Saturdays, better than having to wait till later though I guess.

I am fed up of hanging on now, I just want all arranged funeral wise and it over and done with now.

Doc was supposed to do death certificate Friday, carer went in to pick it up at the end of the day, and they hadn't done it. Undertaker has told me he will chase it up Monday. I can't register the death without it. And can't make arrangements either. It is so miserable being hung in limbo like this, and people asking me for a date.

Good job I have CBB to take my mind off stuff.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Hi both.
No frost today, but a bit of sunshine. Stayed mostly dry.
Very cold tonight though, and some more snow forecast for tomorrow.

Hicky. Glad there was more in your rice than just tomatoes.
Pity your OH's new hours don't suit her.
Glad your drill and sponge cake tin arrived anyway.
That's really good that you are getting a better sleep now, after the inhaler change.

Mollie. Yes I watched The Voice on my new TV box while eating my supper.
I haven't ordered the oil yet, even though the level in the tank is now lower than the point I usually order, because the price is dropping day by day. So I'm keeping an eye on it for now, but will have to order soon (before I run out).
At the moment I'd have to pay over ÂĢ300 for 500 litres, which is much more expensive than in September when I last ordered. If it get's below ÂĢ300 then I'll order.

I think you'll have to try to get into the way of thinking that your Mum's problems are now over, and you can remember her as she was, before she became dependent.
I can understand wanting to get the arrangements done and the funeral over with. Wonder why there's a delay with the death certificate?
Hopefully the gnawing feeling in your stomach will ease, and you'll be able to get more sleep. But just give yourself time.

I watched The Voice, then Hard Sun on BBC1 then CBB. Didn't realise it had been on 5* earlier.

emptybox

Morning Both. :

Just watching Sunday Brunch as it's raining, 5c here rain and winds 17.

Dad quite a big brekkie, 2 long sausages, lots of streaky bacon, 2 eggs, 2 hash browns, small tub of microwave spaghetti.

Not usre if we are having a lamb roast today or tomorrow, i have a meal of Pork Ribs waiting to be cooked.

Mollie, I made the Laksa soup, very nice, had enough to freeze a tub as well.

Will make the fudge Monday when o/h is out so i can get the mess cleaned up before she gets back.

It's going to take some time for you to rearrange your life now because it has been dominated by others.

Hope you can get the paperwork sorted soon so all the arrangements can be sorted.

Emptybox, O/H is used to starting work very early, say 4.30am which lets her get home at say 10am or before, when she starts at 7am it messes the day up and later at the weekend is awful.

I think this Auger drill is going to work, of course i don't need the fruit cage till mid summer really, pity i can't put a tube into the ground to put the posts in when needed, i do have plastic tube will see if i can sort something then i could just drop the tubes in, would have to seal the top of the tubes in the ground of course.

Since taking the Antibiotic's i can see my urine is looks a lot better so they mustr be working, also i am definitely sleeping better and the mouth dryness isn't so bad now so all is good.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.
Very frosty here this morning. It was -4 when I went for the papers.
Then we had heavy snow for an hour or so around noon. The power went off as well, but luckily came back on quickly.

Went to the supermarket as usual, although the roads weren't very good. It was above zero by then though, so very slushy.
They've still got the section blocked off. Very stupid of them. They don't seem to have a lot of the things I usually get. They've only got about half the selection of soups that they normally have, because of lack of room.
If they're not careful they'll start losing customers (me included), before they have a chance to unveil whatever the hell it is they are working on.

Spaghetti for brekkie Hicky? Just par for the course.
Glad you enjoyed your Laksa soup.
That's good if you think the drill will do the trick for putting in the fruit cage.
You'll probably need to be put on a permanent low dose anti-biotic, to keep these water infections at bay.

Will watch Vera later then CBB on +1, although my Brother will probably ring in the middle of it again.

emptybox

both

Hicky

so glad the antibioutics seem to be doing their job and the inhaler is better too.

That was a substantial brekkie.

Glad you liked the laksa soup too. Good time of year to eat soup.

Emptybox

gosh that supermarket are taking their time doing it up. You will have to give lidl a go. I see it is still real cold there.

It was rain, rain and more rain here all day.

Now I wonder,  did your brother phone during Vera again? Hope not.

Went to start clearing mum's flat today, horrible job, 1st time going back with her not there. Lucky the carer came and she is lovely, so was a good support and help.

The other poor carer couldn't come as she has not been feeling well. She says she can't sleep or eat,  keeps crying all the time and feels guilty and lost. She said she can't get that day out of her head, if she tries to sleep she keeps counting the chest pumps in her head and seeing mums fading face, and she loved her so much, it is driving her insane. I have given her the CRUSE number to ring as they have experienced advisors to speak to her. And we are meeting with her on Tuesday to talk together with the other carer. Me and the main 2 carers are organising the funeral ourselves. Making it personal to my mum. All 3 of us have chosen a song and will read a speech. And dress in pink as mum loved pink.  Her sister too has had an input.

I just hope I can get a date soon now, as I can't move forward till this is over.

Not sure if I enjoyed CBB much tonight, a very odd way to nominate.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Afternoon both.
Been a dull day here but quite a bit milder. A lot of the snow has melted now.

Mollie. Luckily my Brother waited till just after 11pm to phone, so I saw all of CBB.
It'll be a big job clearing your Mum's flat. Nice that the carer was able to help. Do you have to pay her for that?
Also nice that the carers are helping you organise the funeral. Sounds like it'll be a pink affair.
It really seems to have affected the other carer deeply. Is it her first job?
Obviously you want someone who genuinely cares about the people they are looking after, but they need to be professional as well, and not take too much home.

CBB should be interesting tonight. Hopefully the females won and it'll be either John or Daniel that goes.
Next of Kin on tonight as well.

emptybox

Evening Both.

Weather warmer today, 8c but rain and sun, with 15 winds, not a nice combination for me.

Made some fudge this morning, but standing by the stove for 10 minutes stirring it then whipping it for 10 minutes after it reaches temperature is hard on the back and arms.

My brekkie was a tin of toms with a load of bacon cut into small pieces

Just had some Roasted Pork Ribs, with tinned Apricots and custard for afters.

Mollie, this antibiotic seems an all rounder as it can be used to treat many infections all over the body.

I like the Laksa soup because it has such a rich flavour, also with the coconut milk it adds a fantastic touch to it.

So sorry to hear about your carer that is having such a bad time, she really has taken the whole thing badly and she shouldn't feel guilty, she couldn't have done more, yes, she does need some help to get over this as not eating or sleeping is damaging her own health.

Emptybox, If you get some bad weather you lose your power, thats not good.

That is bad news about the supermarket closing off certain areas of the shop, how are you supposed to get your shopping in.

I have been looking into the idea of putting a tube in the ground so the fruit cage tubes could drop in, think i mention it the other day, would have to buy 3m lengths of galv electrical tubing and cut the lengths i need, but would need to check the inside diameter of the 20mm tubing.

The doctor did tell me to tell the Registrar that i had these antibiotics, mind you it's not till March.

Hicky

both xxx

Emptybox

that's good it is milder so the snow is going.

And also good news that your brother didnt ring till after you had watched CBB.

Yes my carer has not being doing care for long, so mum is the first one to die with her, plus she was doing this cpr for about 20 mins. I went to see the day centre manager today and she was amazed this girl attempted this on her own. Because eg she had to on her own, to lift mum onto the floor and even though she was tiny, that is not easy on your own. So no wonder she is feeling stressed.

I will give the carers some cash for helping in the flat as their wages from me have suddenly gone, plus I just can't do it on my own. They are not asking nor expecting it though.

That was good the females did win tonight. I think John was nice, but rather boring.

Hicky

Gosh that fudge does sound like hard work. Hope you enjoy eating it.

Hope the antibiotics clear your problem. Do you have to go for retesting? You said you are going to the registrar in March, will you have finished the meds by then?

Coconut milk can make some nice things, what is the other main ingredient for your soup?

CBB....Always seems a bit mean when someone has to go via the back door, although I don't think we will miss John much.

I am still having trouble sleeping, and am off my food. So much to do and such a horrible time, but I am glad I managed to get the death certifcate and register it, and book the crematorium, and book pub on seafront for food after, the place where I used to take mum to listen to singing outdoors. We were so lucky to get the pub we really wanted as they are very busy that day. Good job OH finished his contract last Friday so is home to help. Have to meet undertaker tomorrow and clear the flat.

Funeral is Feb 1st, I need to get that over with now.

Not one of the better episodes of CBB tonight, but at least we have this to watch now.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Hicky. Hope your fudge turns out well after all your hard work.
I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun working out exactly how best to errect the fruit cage.

Mollie. Yes, it's amazing how the young carer tried to save your Mum all on her own.
I guess, if they are only working for you, then their wages come to a sudden end.
Good idea to give them some cash for helping with the flat, to tide them over till their next position.

I remember from when my Dad died, that it's an awful lot of things to do in a very short time, to arrange funeral etc. Luckily I had my Brother there, and the hospital released the death certificate just a few hours after he died, so we registered it the same day.
Glad your OH is off now, so he can help you.
That was lucky that you were able to book the pub you wanted.

Really glad that the women won the task and John was evicted (rather than Ann or Amanda).
Watched CBB then Next of Kin on ITV+1, now watching '30 inches tall and turning 18' on CH5+1.

emptybox

Evening Both.

Warmer today here, 12c with sunny spells, winds of around 10 to 19.

Had fried eggs on toast for brekkie, had to get a taxi to get my feet done as o/h's working hours today changed so she couldn't take me.

was working in the garden, after studying some paperwork i have about the Kiwi berry vine i realised i had put the plastic wire supports the wrong way around so was redoing that, i also moved the tub to a position in the centre of the support wires.

I have loads of jobs to do in the garden, but i need some dry weather really.

On reading more recipes on making fudge it seems that the 118c temperature to cook it for is too high as it should be 114 or 115c, also i forgot that after it's cooked you don't beat the fudge until the temperature has dropped below 50c, so i am going to see if i can repair the fudge i made.

Had some curry just now but have 2 spuds baking which i will be having with cheese and tomato when they are done.

Mollie, I see the Registrar about taking the tablet he prescribed, i will have taken it for 6 months so maybe he will want to see if it has done what he wanted, maybe i will be able to stop that particular tablet but it sure stopped the bleeding i had.

For the Laksa soup you need the Laksa paste otherwise you would need so many spices, but you put some chicken stock in, then add either bits of chicken or fish/prawns or whatever you want to add.

Glad you got the death certificate and made the arrangements for the cremation, nice being able to book the place you wanted, thats great.

I haven't been watching CBB, have lost interest really, noone in it i really want to watch.

Thats good your o/h can help you.

Emptybox, Thinking about the fruit cage, it will only have netting on it for a couple of months and not sure that leaving the cage up for the rest of the year is a good idea so might have to give it more thought.

Been looking at garden water features but everyone i pick out o/h thinks it's too ordinary.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.
Milder here as well, but very windy.
I went into town to renew my prescription.

I also bought some turmeric capsules from the natural pharmacy.
A bit more expensive than the ones in Mollie's link (ÂĢ10 for 60 capsules), but it'll allow me to see if they have any effect.
These ones come with 5% black pepper as well. The shop owner says it helps you to absorb the turmeric quicker.

Pity your OH couldn't take you to get your feet done. I suppose that is the drawback of her new hours.
Is that the Finesteride tablets that the Registrar prescribed? It may be you'll need to keep taking those?

You've always got plenty of jobs to keep you busy in the garden.
Most people leave fruit cages up all year, but then they probably have more space than you. But I guess if you put in fixings such that you can easily take it down, then that would be good..
A water feature? That'll be exciting.

Not bothered that Genuwine went on CBB, although he's coming over as a 'genuinely' nice bloke in his interviews.

Evening Emptybox.

Weather cleared up this afternoon so could get work done outside, 9c and lots of weak sun, wind 20 down to 16.

Finished the positioning of the Kiwi vine growth so that should be ok now.

Altered the Plum tree angle that was laying down to far so in the way of other plum trees, took a lot of the compost out from around the root so i could pull the trunk over to more Vertical, then put compost behind to keep it in position.

Had more deliveries today, my throat spray came (synthetic saliva) because of my dry mouth at night, will try it anyway, also came the 50 adjustable spray heads on spikes, they are for the greenhouse tubs, instead of watering by the saucer i am going to install 4 of these sprays for each tub and not use the saucer at all this year.

Reboiled the fudge and took it to 115c this time, let it cool to 48c before beating but it was too stiff to beat, so don't understand that logic.

Made scrambled egg for brekkie, o/h made a lamb roast dinner this afternoon, very nice too.

It's worth trying the Turmeric tablets but how do you test if they work?

Yes, those are the tablets the Registrar prescribed, but don't know if they are permanent feature, hope not.

I've got the same problem next Tuesday as i see the Nurse again about the new inhalers, to get them put on the repeat list, and o/h will be working again.

I read that Ginuwine had left cbb but haven't been watching it, might watch now some have left.

Hicky

Hicky

the change of your OH's working hours is such a nuisance with you having to get taxis now. Has this been changed for good?

Pity your fudge was too stiff to beat.

That is good the tablet you had off the registrar stopped the bleeding, let;s hope he is pleased with your progress when you go back. Hope the throat spray helps you.

Emptybox

Yes I had heard that it was best to get tumeric that has black pepper in it. The one I had had pepper. Hope it does you good.

I too won't miss Genuine on CBB.

The BB behind the scenes show tonight was quite interesting.

Me, the 2 main carers and son went to see undertaker to sort things out yesterday. As you say Emptybox, I can't believe how much there is to sort, as well as trying to clear mums flat. The girls are going on their own tomorrow, as I have to take the will to solicitor. I was supposed to go to the bank too, but will have to cancel ... Sunday I have to see someone about the service, and complete the order of service by Monday. And all whilst not sleeping so good. I will be so glad when this period is over.

Good job CBB is on so it gives me time to unwind.

Goodnight both.  xxx

Evening both.
Very high winds and rain overnight and this morning. But a bit drier and even some sun this afternoon.

Ordered a load of oil. It will cost ÂĢ306 for the 500 litres. The last time it was that much was 4 years ago. I was hoping to wait till the price came below ÂĢ300, but it seems to have plateaued and I'm running rather low, so I took the plunge.
Although it's quite a bit milder now, I wouldn't want to be without the heating.

Hicky. Glad you could get some stuff done in the garden. And you got some deliveries.
Hope the throat spray helps at night.
I thought you had got the fudge making technique cracked (so to speak) last year?
Surprised you are still fiddling about with the temperatures etc?

The Finesteride tablets are usually a long term thing, but then they are usually given for an enlarged Prostate. As it was given to you for a slightly different purpose, I suppose they might take you off them?
I'll take the Turmeric for 2 months and see if they make any difference to my condition. I'm hoping to be able to ween myself off the prescription meds, but we'll see. Might make no difference.

Mollie. That's good that you've got the Undertaker sorted out, but there's still a lot to do and think about, with the service etc.
Do you have to rush to clear your Mum's flat out? Could you not keep the rent going for another month to give you more time. Or do you want to do it now, while you have the help of the carers?.

I saw some of that Behind the Scenes show, but was fiddling with a recalcitrant computer at the time, so was only watching with half an eye,
The bits I saw looked interesting anyway.

Evening Both. :

Not too bad today, showers on and off which is a pain, 7c with winds of about 13.

Got a few more jobs done in the garden, tie-wrapped the canes and water pipes back for the trees that have been moved about.

Have started making the 6 tubing manifolds that i am going to use to water the greenhouse tubs, have decided that for each tub i will supply 4 watering nozzles, so to do that i need 5 reducing adaptors from 13mm to 4mm thats 1 input of water and 4 output, i have what is needed all ready so it's a matter of making it up.

Have had emails from hmrc again, such a pain, it seems the self assessment section doesn't know that i have been taken off filling in returns and that i have paid what i owe in the personal tax account section, they say i started to fill in a return and i need to finish it before the end of January, but i can't reply to the email, i spoke to a self assessment advisor online but they can't talk about an individual they just answer standard questions so i will have to ring them so it will cost me money to sort out their problems, i don't the advisor online that the 2 sections don't talk to each other, he said they do as my username and password work for both, well i have 2 different sets.

Had bacon and eggs for brekkie, have just had a Ribeye steak with mushrooms, onion and frozen microwave chips with creamy pepper sauce over it.

Mollie, O/H's working hours are changed for good by the looks of it, she's not happy at all, her hours Sunday are 10 till 2pm which means we can't get brekkie or lunch out very easy and with Tuesday being 9.30 till 1.30 the day has gone, she wants to start at 5am so she gets the daytime free.

Hard to tell if the new throat spray works or not, it sorts the problem out short time, and i have my new tongue scraper now as well.

Yes, strange how that tablet the registrar prescribed stopped the bleeding after 2 days and he said it might take 2 months to work, it was to shrink it, after this time it's probably hard to see.

Emptybox, Yes, i messed up with the fudge, must have looked at the wrong recipe online, going to make the next lot with Evap and white sugar, have got whats needed anyway.

Glad you got your fuel oil, it could go up if you wait, better to have it in stock.

I agree it has gone milder but it only takes a change of the jet stream and it all changes back.

yes I think you did right ordering the oil now, too risky to postpone it with the cold weather you seem to have had all winter.

Worth giving the tumeric a go as they have no bad side effects. I saw another different doc on This Morning advising someone on statins to give tumeric a go instead of the statins, because tumeric gives no side effects.

Hicky

that was good the weather gave you the opportunity to get so much done in the garden.

Sorry you are having HMRC problems, they are a damn joke, in that they are so disorganised and behind the times.

Such a shame about your OH's time changes, yes those hours are horrible for Sundays as they mean no lunch or brekkie out. Its ruthless out there in the workplace now. OH had to leave 2 hours early from work when I lost mum, he had completed the job he needed to at work, and the nasty lot docked him a half days pay! Even though on his contract as long as he does the job, he can work the hours he wants. He didn't feel up to arguing the legal stuff at the moment though.

Hopefully as the bleeding stopped in 2 days, it means the problem was not too bad.

Good luck with the next lot of fudge.

A very stressful day today again....mums doc who saw her last a few days before she died, rang me and wanted full details of the carer who was with her when she died, I told her it was a good job she did agree to visit mum that day as it would of been even more upsetting for us. She said the carers I had there were really good. Then another doc had to ring me to verify mum had died, they have to put this on the cremation form apparently.

Then off to the solicitors with the will which of course is complicated as the executor solicitor she named has left, so he has to email my brother. But it would of been more complicated if she owned property as the care home would have taken most of her equity. So I was so glad she was at home, and her money was well used for her care.  Me, OH and son went too, we were so down when we got back, really sad and distatefull trying to sort the money out, that she had left. It will take months and months to get sorted apparently.

CBB time

Good night both xxx

M

Evening.
Not a bad day here. A bit dull and cloudy, but mild again.
My oil came, which was very quick.
I see there's some snowdrops coming out here, probably because of the mild spell.
I had Haggis for supper, in honour of Mr Burns and his night.

Also I had a fellow at the door from one of these government schemes for free insulation.
He wanted to put up insulation boards inside the house, on the sloping roof bits beside the dormer windows in the bedrooms, and also on the landing corridor.
He was going to see the landlady next to get permission. He also said next door was very keen on it.

I told him I wasn't keen, as they would be put over the top of my wallpaper, which would mean I would have to redecorate afterwards, and I couldn't see that they would make much difference to my heating bills anyway. The priority in this house should be to put in double glazing in the big windows in the lounge and kitchen, not to be fixing boards on the walls upstairs.
However, I suppose if the landlady insists on it, there's not much I can do. But if she leaves it up to me, I can't see how the disruption would be worth it?
I'll just have to see what happens.

Hicky. Spring must be coming if you're already planning all your watering arrangements for the season?
What a pain HMRC seem to be. Fingers crossed, I've never had any problems with my self assessment returns.
Yes I can see that your OH's new hours cut into the day, and stop you doing things together.
Hope your next batch of fudge is more successful.

Mollie. That was a bit bad of your OH's work to dock him a half day's pay, when he'd done all he had to do.
Wonder why the doc needed details of the carer? I suppose they have to do a full report on the circumstances?
Yes the solicitors always work slowly. Although my Dad's estate was straightforward as well it still took about 6 months to fully work out, and even then there were dribs and drabs to sort out after that.

Much as I'm glad the women won the power again, I think it's a bit unfair there are 4 men up and 3 will be leaving, so only one out of that lot will stay.
Really hope Andrew doesn't stay, after his performance on the show tonight.

hope you managed to get into your garden ok today.

How did the fudge making go today?

Emptybox

that is good your oil arrived, maybe this means the warm weather will arrive now?

Glad you remembered to enjoy your haggis for Burns night.

Yes I should imagine having insulation would be very disruptive in the house, especially if you do not think it will be of much benefit.

I think when someone dies, the docs have tighter rules for cremation because of that Shipman thing. The doc said 2 docs have to sign the cremation forms, one who saw her recently and another one. Also maybe because she died at home with no doc or nurse?

I found all this will stuff very confusing as apparently the named executor does not work for the firm now, so a new one has to be taken on, which can be a beneficiary on the will. And a probate thing has to be done. Did you get one of those done, and if so, did you do it yourself, as this solicitor said you can do it yourself or he can do the paperwork and charges a portion of the estate to do it. I have a lot of the paperwork here already, but am worn out and not sure if I want to take it on now. I had so much paperwork for the power of attorney to do, it was a nightmare!

I agree with you regarding CBB I am really tired of this men/women thing now. And 3 out of 4 to go is just stupid!

Yes I don't like Andrew at all, Johny seems far nicer.

Been clearing mum's flat again, the girls have done a lot, so that is good.

Then me and my son, and one of the carers went to order some flowers.

I am still hardly sleeping, lucky if I got 4 hours last night, it made me feel dizzy this afternoon, (also skipped lunch), so I am glad I can unwind with CBB tonight.

I just want this next wek over and done with now.

So much to organise at a time I feel like organising nothing!

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Good Evening Both.

Not too bad today, cool at 7c but with sun all day and no wind it was ideal for being in the garden.

Got quite a bit done really, did more work compiling the parts needed for the watering heads i'm making, each of 6 heads will comprise of 5 T pieces with a total of  30 variable watering sprinkler heads, each T piece has a 70mm of pipe which connects 2 of them, at each end of each drop it has a stop end in the 13mm pipe, i think i will have to put a 90deg angle in the middle so it won't be so long.

I've done more tidying up as well, and am refitting the big saucer covers, they keep the sun off the water.

I've ordered a small water pump so i can pump rain water into my feed tank for the trees, it takes to long lifting water up to the top of it as it's on a stand to give me the hight.

I might even try to make a water feature using it, not sure how yet.

Had 2 more deliveries today, my Aunt Bessie's Dumpling mix for my stew i will be making soon and the Irish Moss Peat which i need for the Acid loving trees etc like Raspberries, Blueberries and Kiwi Berries.

Didn't have brekkie as waited for O/H to come, window cleaners came then o/h, she brought the shopping and a cooked chicken so i had some on bread with lime pickle, had a tin of Tongue for tea and some fruit and cream.

Mollie, I'll have to ring hmrc as the online system is a waste of time as you can't give them personal details so they talk about stuff in general.

Thats no way to treat your o/h is it, what a miserable lot.

Yes, sorting out the will and finances etc can take ages and if she has bank or savings accounts that adds to the time.

Emptybox, Yes, the biggest loss from any house is the windows, if they are not double glazed, the problem with any house is that the heat escapes from the ground floor up to the top floor because heat rises, insulating the outer walls upstairs can keep the heat upstairs but that won't help downstairs.

Thats the beauty of a bungalow, i don't really lose any heat as it has nowhere to go, even when it is freezing outside i have the overnight heating set to 17c but it doesn't come on because the temperature in the bungalow doesn't drop that far.

From what you say i agree i can't see any of that saving you money, i don't know where your thermostat is controlling the heating, it would probably end up warmer upstairs with having less loss but i can't see how that would save you money, it is always better to attack the worst places for losses 1st and thats not the walls really.

I will be watching CBB tonight, haven't watched all week as it got too boring, i will be glad if they get rid of 3 fellers but there can always be twist.

Hicky

Evening both.
Not bad day today. Mild again with a little sun.
Haven't felt all that good today, Stomach has been a bit funny. Didn't take a turmeric capsule today, just in case that was the cause. Feel OKish tonight though, so don't think it's anything serious.

Went into town to see how much of my weekly shop I can do at Lidl. Managed about two thirds of it anyway, and a bit cheaper than it would have been at Sainsburys.
They have no 'free from' range though, and not much choice in a lot of things.
They only had Korma or Tikka Masala for curry sauces, nothing else.
I'll still have to go to Sainsburys on Sunday to get the rest. But if they haven't got themselves sorted out, I might make Lidl a habit.

I don't really worry about heating upstairs too much anyway. The bedroom has the airing cupboard with hot water tank in it, so stays warm. And the only other room that is heated is the bathroom, and that doesn't have the sloping walls anyway, so wouldn't be affected.
If I'm given the choice of having the insulation I think I'll say no. But as it's free, I bet the landlady jumps on the chance.
Might give me the chance to bring up the big single glazed windows again though.

Mollie. Yes, I suppose they are very careful about the circumstances of home deaths now.
My Brother and myself were both executors of my Dad's will, and we employed his solicitor (who he'd lodged his will with) to do most of the work.

We took all the paperwork to him, after we had gone through it ourselves, and more or less let him get on with it. We could have done it ourselves, but my Dad had several accounts with different banks and building societies, plus some more complicated investments. And we'd have had to apply for the Scottish equivalent of probate (can't remember what it's called), and then send copies of the death certificate etc, so we thought it best to leave it to a professional.

We did have to get all my Dad's belongings valued, including his car and motorbikes etc, but the solicitor pointed us towards a valuer for that.
In the end the solicitor charged us somewhere between ÂĢ2,500 and ÂĢ3000.
I think the funeral and cremation actually cost more than that in the end, so was worth it for us.

I know it's difficult, but you really need to try to get a good night's sleep and eat properly. Hopefully it'll be easier when the funeral is out of the way.

Hicky. You're making me feel guilty about not doing more in my own garden. I haven't even cleared the old tomato plants out of the greenhouse yet.
Glad your deliveries came. Didn't even know you had an Aunt Bessie?
Sometimes I wish I lived in a cosy bungalow.

Glad that Shane J was the one to stay. Quite sweet that Daniel asked his girlfriend to marry him (presuming that was genuine).

Evening Emptybox.

A bit of a rainy day here, warm at 12c but cloud and winds of 12 to 18.

Went out for brekkie as we can't go tomorrow because of the hours o/h is working, 10 to 2pm isn't good.

Am still making up the water bits for the greenhouse tubs, have made 1 up, it's 4 corner angles, and 2 13 to 4mm reducers at the side and a 13 to 4 mm reducer at one end with a link tube at the other end, that gives me a triangle with a feed connector at the top and 2 outlets each side, got another 5 to do, i dip the plastic 13mm pipe in hot water so the connectors go in easy.

Been making a Stew because my dump[ling mix came, it's Flank Steak, mushrooms, onions, carrots, potato's, thickened with plain flour, got garlic in it and black pepper, and 8 dumplings, just got 7 minutes left, it's taken over 2 hours as i cooked the meat first, then the veg, then the potato's then the thickening, then the dumplings, did most of the time in the oven as it's cheaper to run than a stove.

One of the bin bags i have hanging with leaves in from last year split so i put the contents onto a raised bed, it looks good, very pleased.

Yes, i think double glazing is what you really need, the rest, if they do it won't make much difference i don't think, it would just be a pain for you while it's done.

sorry you felt off yesterday, hope you felt better today. I guess the only way to know if the tumeric doesn't suit you is to have time on it, then a break off it. I seem ok on it, even though I have not been eating much at all lately.

Pity you couldn't get all you needed in Lidl, but as you say, it is cheaper.

That is handy the hot water tank keeps the bedroom warm. Let's hope your LL doesn't get round to getting insulation put in, so it doesn't put you out. Shame she still hasn't got round to doing the double glazing.

Thank you for the will info. That is very usefull indeed, as it sounds similiar to what the solicitor told me. I would prefer to send all paperwork to the solicitor and get him to do it. I am getting mum's bills now, and it is strange I don't have to pay them on mum's behalf now. (i used to have to do all that with Power of Attorney). Ours is complicated though as mum put this named solcitor on her will (crafty devil), and he works for another company now, so the new solicitor is going to try and get him to recind. Solicitors charge a fortune if they are executors apparently.

Hicky

such a shame these horrible working hours stop you going for brekkie on Sundays now. Good job you managed to go today.

Gosh your stew took a long time to cook. Hope you enjoyed it.

Glad you are pleased with your raised bed.

Nearly finished the flat now. It is such a shame as mum had a nice reclining chair and a stool and the charity shop won't take either as they have no fire label on them. We have no room in our house for either.

I got some clothes for mum's funeral, then cried all the way home in the car, as it dawns on me the reason I have bought them and that I have to compose myself to get through next Thursday.

Enjoyed tonights episode of CBB, the men screaming were so funny.

Good night both xxx

M

Hi both.
Dull and dreary here, but still mild.

Hicky. That's good that you could get out for brekkie today anyway.
Hope you enjoyed your stew? Sounds great with the dumplings.
Glad the leaf mold turned out good, and has made a good mulch for the raised bed.

Mollie. I've been feeling better today thanks.
Not sure if it was just my condition or something to do with the turmeric?
I'll leave off it for a few days and then try it again, and see if it has any effect.
I have the dried turmeric powder in stews and curries and my bolognese sauce, without any ill effect. But of course the capsules are much more concentrated.

My Mum and Dad made the mistake of having a solicitor as Executor for my Mum's will. And when she died my Dad found out, as you say, that the solicitors charge a lot more for being one. That made my Dad change his own will to make me and my Brother joint Executors. We were the only beneficiaries as well.
When I made my own will I made my Brother the Executor.

That's good that you are nearly finished clearing the flat. Pity you can't find a home for your Mum's furniture, but as you say, charity shops are very picky nowadays. You could always try Freecycle to see if anyone wants them.

Watched The Voice then Hard Sun on BBC1 then CBB on +1.

emptybox

Evening Both.

Not bad today, 13c with cloud and sunny spells, winds said 12 to 16 but they were less.

Got a lot done really, Made up 2 more of the watering systems for the greenhouse, also, the new 25 pack of 13 to 4mm reducers came so i can finish making the rest tomorrow.

The stew was very nice, put a bit too much pepper in really but not a problem, had 1 meal then made up 2 containers to freeze, have another meal in the heavy casserole pan, would have had it earlier but o/h made a lamb roast dinner when she came in from work at 2.15pm.

Rang hmrc, got through quicker this time, it seems, as i expected, the computer is sending me emails to complete the return that i don't need to, the girl couldn't see my payment but could see that i don't owe anything which means i had paid, gave her all the details of the payment as i had printed the PDF that they gave me when i paid the money, she said she would try and sort it out and ring me, i really don't know how they function when 1 hand doesn't know what the other is doing and the computers have a mind of their own, but she did say she could override the computer.

Watched one of those video's, one with them frying 450 eggs to make the village a meal, another boiling 1500 Quail eggs then frying them and adding to spices and rice, interesting, i am getting some good ideas for meals.

Mollie, Am wondering what to grow in the raised beds this year, i only have 2 i can use as 3 are taken up anyway.

Yes, with all the new fire regs old furniture with fabric is no good, pity you don't have room, of course you can give it away, just the charity shops can't take it.

Yes, it won't be easy for you to compose yourself, but you don't really need to, it's not that easy to control.

Emptybox, I really enjoyed the dumplings, o/h didn't want any stew or dumplings, i think she had bad experiences with them when young, her mother used to make them, but these cooked in the stew were great.

I had put on my shopping list Sausage meat as o/h got me some a while back and it was in flat sections frozen, but this time it was a big block of sausage meat, i thawed it some and sliced it and put 2 slices into each of 4 bags then froze it, also had some slices for brekkie, with bacon, egg, tomato and black pudding.

I am pleased with the leaf mould, lots of it but will try and keep it till the winter, i also have the compost in my compost heap, haven't looked at that for a few months.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.
Rain here most of the day, and windy as well.
Might be the last mild day as it's supposed to get a bit colder next week. But should be drier as well.

Feeling a bit off again today, but not as bad as Friday.
I think that means it's just my prostate thing playing up, as that is often one bad day followed by a good day then another bad day etc.
If it was flu or something, you wouldn't get the good day in between.

Got a phone call from a customer wanting an hour or so's work done. Just putting some compost around plants etc. Did the same for her this time last year, as I remember.

Went to Sainsburys to get the rest of my shop. Only cost a couple of quid less than what I got at Lidl, and that was a lot more stuff.
I've found out what they are doing with the blocked off section. They are turning it into a mini Argos. Of course Sainsburys now own Argos (or vice versa?).
That means that the Sainsburys stuff is going to remain crammed into the remaining space.
Ah well, I'll just have to start getting as much as I can from Lidl, and Sainsburys will lose out.

Glad you could get more done to your watering system.
And glad the HMRC thing might finally be sorted out, fingers crossed.
Pity your OH wasn't tempted by your stew and dumplings.
What bad experience of dumplings did she have from her Mother's cooking? Were they like rocks?
If you're making a meal from those videos, remember to scale the quantities of eggs down.

Vera tonight, then CBB on +1.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

Just checked the forecast here for the next 10 days, same cooler around 6 or 7c.

It could be your prostate playing up, but i thought that would effect your waterworks.

It was because my prostate was a bit enlarged, that was the original problem why i needed the TURP, but later the enlargement cause the new surface blood vessels to leak, they were on the surface that had been reamed out, they said it was good to have a good blood supply and the new tablet was to shrink it all.

I had a feeling that was why they had an area blocked off, Argos is going into the stores but here they have a Argos store to meters away from the Sainsbury's store anyway, unless they are going to close that one and just use the one in store, it would be a saving.

When speaking to hmrc she did say she couldn't see the payment i had made, what kind of system have they got, i paid it via their own payment system in my personal tax account and they created a PDF with all the details, i'm glad i printed it now, this is beyond incompetence by them, i told her i had an online chat with an hmrc feller, she could see that, i said it was as useful as talking to a butcher about it.

Yes, when she was young they were given food and had to eat it whether you liked it or not and that really effects you in later life and now she is so fussy, she can't it anything with a spice, or garlic or a sauce of any kind, thats why most foods she makes herself, she only likes salt, pepper (white), vinegar thats it.

Yes. it takes a lot of scaling down from 450 eggs, so lovely watching all the children, never seen so many in my life, but Grandpa Kitchen makes cooking so easy and with a simple knife and a big pot and some bricks and some wood or reeds for a fire, incredible.

I have subscribed as it all helps them get money to buy ingredients.

Hicky

both xxx

Emptybox

shame you felt a bit off again today. But as you say, it sounds like it is just your normal problem as you had a good day inbetween. I think I would of been surprised it had been the tumeric. HOpe you carry on feeling ok again now.

A customer already, at least you can start breaking yourself in work wise again I guess.

They did the same thing to our Sainsburys when they added Argos. As you say it does make it more cramped, but might be an advantage to you if you happen to need anything from Argos. Looks like it might be worth you trying Lidl more often now then?

What a racket these damn solicitors are onto then! My mum would of not realised the implications of putting the solicitor down as an executor at all, same as your mum. Good job they didn't achieve the same trick with your dad, or you. We changed ours when we found out what they did to mum, the more people that work this scheme out the better!

Hicky

hmrc are useless! Such time wasters, about time they spent more money on their IT systems and staff training.

Glad you enjoyed your dumplings, but yes no wonder your OH is fussy now if she was forced to eat stuff when young that she didn't like.

Is it after the frosts you start the growing process on your beds?

That is good you decided to subscribe to grandpa kitchen, I think I'd have trouble converting the ingredients down to what I needed.

You are right about it being fire regs meaning the charity shop can't take the chair. Fortunately the nice carer has decided to take it now and said she will enjoy sitting in it and thinking of my mum.

Me and the carers met with the guy helping us plan mum's service. We have done most of it oursleves and he just brings it together. He is from the humanist society, as it is going to be personalised. He said if I struggle with my speech he will take over for me, so that should help me knowing i can do that if needed.

Enjoyed CBB. I like it when they do tasks.

Goodnight both xx

M

You guys might have mentioned that about Argos? I've been wittering on for weeks about Sainsburys.

Hicky. I get two sorts of symptoms with my prostate thing. One is what I call the 'peeing' symptoms, where I have to pee more than usual, and it gets increasingly sore and uncomfortable in between pees. The other symptoms are what I call 'digestive disturbance', where I get bloating and excess gas, and I get a nasty feeling in my stomach and go off my food.
I rarely get the two sorts of symptoms together for some reason.
It was actually the digestive symptoms I had in the beginning, when I first went to the doctor about it. The only peeing symptom I had at that time was a slight sting when peeing.
The first couple of bouts lasted about 10 days each, but nowadays they usually only last a couple of days, and are less severe thank goodness.

Yes, HMRC are a shower (to use an old expression).
Pity your OH was put off so many nice foods when she was young.
My Brother was put off eggs when he was young, for some reason, and now he won't touch them.

Mollie. That's good that you've got your Mum's funeral service worked out.
We used a humanist for my Mum's funeral, and when my Brother wasn't able to finish his speech, the humanist took over. (I didn't make a speech).
For my Dad, there wasn't a humanist available, so we had to get the local Minister to conduct it.
That was slightly ironic because my Dad was almost certainly an atheist, but my Mum was probably quietly religious. So we got it the wrong way round.
Don't suppose they'd have cared.

Brother phoned in the middle of CBB again.

emptybox

Evening Both.

A damp start here, 9c some sun later but too damp to do much outside.

Made a strange brekkie after watching the video of them frying the 450 eggs, they had mixed the egg white and yoke then fried as omelette in a spice mix, then put aside, they then fried spices and added onion and chopped up potato and some water, they also cooked separate some rice, i did the same, after the potato's and onions were cooked the egg was added and mixed in, i had the rice with the egg mixture on top, it was very nice really.

Have just cooked a belly pork, lovely crackling, and some baked spuds for us both, i had beans over the baked spuds.

will get a taxi to the Docs tomorrow, it's just to see the nurse about the inhalers, need them putting on the repeat prescription.

Mollie, I don't really convert the ingredients, i notice how much they put in in relation to the size of the pan, if the pan has onions all across the surface then they add the powder of each spice so a thin layer covers the same area, they seem to do the same with every spice so it's a bit like sowing seen in the garden, if you use your fingers to add pinches of the spices across the area then you won't be far off, they always have the ingredients thinly layered across the bottom of the cooking utensil.

Thats nice, the carer taking the chair, it would be a scheme to have it scrapped.

It's handy having a stand-in for your speech in case you need it.

CBB had some good taskes, more fun like that, the fake tan looked so extreme.

Emptybox, I thought if you had a stinging while peeing you had an infection.

That stomach pain is indigestion isn't it, normally just take tablets for that.
