Good Morning Mollie & Emptybox.

Well, the new Vine has got full Sun all day now, will see if I can get the other 2 moved, not sure if they are too heavy though.

All the food for the chicks and Cat was left for them, didn't need to buy anything.

Glad Govan went, he was carrying stuff between the groups.

That Wildlife park looks good Mollie, should have a good day anyway.

Shabby is just annoying me, she never stops moaning, be glad when she's gone.

Am off to Costco, want to see if they have any Crab Legs, and want some Sushi as well.
Hicky
Evening.
Nice and warm here. Sunny morning, cloudy afternoon with a short shower, but sunny again now.
I got one of my big grass cutting jobs done, but was home in time to see Doctor Who.

That wildlife place looks good Mollie. I remember Anna Ryder Richardson. I'd no idea she was doing something like that now.
I see they've got a picnic area where you can enjoy your sandwiches.

Ah. I'm glad you didn't have to buy any food for the hens Hicky. Wonder why they left you tinned sweetcorn though? I would have thought proper chicken food would be much cheaper, and you could buy in bulk? Their choice, I suppose?

Reading the forums I see caoimhe is becoming the new hate figure since Govan has left. Can't say I've warmed to her myself.

Good morning all

Hicky
hope you got well stocked up with your fave seafood from Costos yesterday. Did you manage to get your other 2 vines moved ok? At least we are having plenty of sun for them this summer.
Shabby is annoying me too. Right misery, I like to see HM's who have fun, not lose their temper, stir, moan and whinge all day.   And I don't like her sidekick either. The pair of them never seem to have a nice word to say about anyone or anything,

Emptbyox
Glad to hear you got a nice big gardening job done yesterday. Did you treat yourself to your usual sphag bol after all your hard work?

We had a lovely day out yesterday. The wildlife park was so nice, because Anna has worked so hard to make the surroundings  so open and natural for the animals, plus it was so quiet and peaceful because it was such a big area. We walked amongst the wallabies, and monkeys in open walk ways. I love wallabies, so gentle natured. We fed them by hand, ans stroked them, one of them had a baby in her pouch, who kept popping in and out.  The buffalo also had young with them, they looked so funny when they rolled in the dust and made huge dust clouds.  There was a couple of gorillas in the trees of their huge open area, we stood and watched them for ages, It was so quiet there, all you could hear were the birds singing. So much nicer than a conventional zoo.
Yes there was plenty of open space for us to enjoy our picnic too. There were goats and peacocks wondering round us whilst we did too.

Looks like another hot and dry day today.
So another sunbathing day for our HM's I expect.
Josie made me laugh in HL's last night...."can I have a magnum?"

have a good sunday all.
M
Good Afternoon Mollie & Emptybox.

Happy Sunday.

Never got my Crabs Legs, got a box of smaller ones, the fish stall is put back to next weekend.
Got a big ÂĢ20 platter of Sushi, very nice too.

Moved my other 2 vines, got the tow rope out of the car and looped it around the pot, made a loop to pull it and my O/H pulled, I guided it to position.
Moved the trellis onto the fence, it's looking good now.

You Wildlife day out sounded great Mollie, it's lovely to get that close to the Animals.

I'm liking Corin, Sunshine, JJ, Ben, Steve, Ife, Nathan is ok.

But BB11 isn't like other BB's, maybe because they are all older and can't see any of them having many Fans, unlike other years, think BB have messed up to some degree, not memorable, don't think.
It's that uninteresting that I don't mind if I miss it, and that says something.
Hicky
Evening.
Lovely day here.

Did my weekly shop, hoovered the house and cut my grass and edges.

Pity you couldn't find any crab's legs Hicky, but bet the crabs were relieved.
That must be a heavy vine, if you needed a tow rope to move it? No wonder you struggled with it in the car?

That wildlife place sounds like a lovely place Mollie? And all those different animals.

Pity about the footie.
emptybox
Good Afternoon Mollie & Emptybox.

Will have to wait a week for the Crab Legs, got a frozen box of the smaller ones anyway.

The Vine is heavy Emptybox because the original 2 are in big pots, it's the damp compost thats heavy, the pots are a couple of feet across and a couple of feet tall, they had to be slid, you wouldn't be able to lift.

It wasn't a problem getting it into the car because the size of the pot is only about 9" and 12" deep, but because the vine has been in it so long it's a solid mass.

Been busy at work this morning, remittance advice notes for the invoices to be paid this week.
Hicky
Evening.

A bit cooler today, and it's been pouring with rain since late afternoon.
I guess we need it though.

I see it's Dave, Shabby and Sunshine up for eviction, but they've to go through the silly 'Save and Replace' task again. Hope Sunshine wins it, but it doesn't seem likely, if it's another physical challenge?
emptybox
Good Morning Mollie & Emptybox.

It's miserable here as well today.
No Sun appeared yet, just overcast.

Gone off Josie all together, a bit strange.
Still like Sunshine, going off Ben, he has a strange sense of humour, that's not funny, but hurtful, Shabby thinks he's horrible as well, and it seems most are having the same thoughts.
I wonder who will win the challenge then, a free pass and select someone else for the chop.
Must admit it is a good twist.
Hicky
Good evening all

I had trouble with the net yesterday.  It cut us off, because we had used over our allowance. OH doesn't know how we manage to use it all, he had just doubled the allowance to 100 bites, and we still went over.  I think I have been using extra bites for the livefeed. But I am back now, but OH had to dig out the credit card first.   Think I will have to restrict my livefeed now.(just a little anyway )  I didn't know we had to pay for livefeed as we went along, I thought I only had to pay out the ÂĢ15 for it all summer. Having said that, I couldnt resist watching it this afternoon, whilst peeling all the veg. I enjoyed the task. I so hope Sunshine doesn't go, I think she is lovely, and and an interesting character.
Strangly, even though Dave and his OTT religious stuff is annoying, I am glad he is staying, I am beginning to find him rather entertaining. The other HM's keep nominating him, but he is surprisingly very good at tasks,so keeps winning through, he look dead daft in the lycra, and constantly spouts lots of drivvle.
Don't like Keeva or Shabby, so dont care which one goes.
I am surprised that JJ really did think that Dave would nominate him on the veto, when Dave was clearly joking about it. I agree Hicky, it is a great twist.
I thought last night highlights was just brilliant, those puppets talking so funny. Especially when Corin's was lying right next to her, looking exactly alike.

Hicky
What a shame you didn't get your big crab legs. Glad to hear you have sorted out the vines. Any photos here or on your site?  Sounds like you had a busy day workwise yesterday.
It was cloudy here this morning, but cleared up later. Very, muggy though.

emptybox
Sounds like you will soon have lots of grass to cut again, now it rained up there. We had some rain in the night, but the ground is still very dry here.

had my shopping delvered by sainsburys today. Really good because it is free delivery Tues, Weds and Thursdays, because we spend over ÂĢ100.

hope you both had a good day.
M
Good Evening Mollie.

I'm as bad as you, i'll have to pay a lot more this month for extra download, I've used over double my allowance of 10GB this month with the live feed.
It's probably equal to downloading a video constantly.

I wonder what will happen now.
Shabby, Sunshine & Keeva, but Shabby is talking about leaving, and if Keeva is evicted Shabby will leave anyway.

I loved the Puppet Task, one great idea, they were so good.

I moved my trellis for the main vine, I stuck a bamboo stake in the garden and at 2pm I laid a cane onto the shadow made by the vertical cane, I then put a cane across the end of it at 90deg which gave me the ideal angle to set my trellis, so it gets 6hrs before 2pm and 6hrs after 2pm.
I bought some more brackets to hang stuff from the fence.
And some more spinning wind toys.

I'll have to take some more pictures of the veg etc in the garden, I'll be able to put them on Photobucket.
Hicky
That was a very ingenious method for siting your vine Hicky.

Did you pair not used to have unlimited broadband?
Mollie, I thought you said a few years ago, that you had upgraded to an unlimited contract specifically for BB Live Feed?
Or maybe I'm mixing you up with someone else?

Personally I hope Caoimhe goes. I'm not fond of Shabby, but I think at least she is an interesting HM?
I'm still struggling to find a favourite.
I like Sunshine, but can see why she would be difficult to live with.
I like Corin, but she hasn't featured much lately. She needs a storyline.
I'm finding Ben irritating again, and Josie is showing a bit of a nasty side as regards Sunshine.
Ife is an attractive girl, but she's always hiding in a grey hoodie, or that horrible sherpa style hat that used to belong to Govan.

It was a nice day here, after the previous night's rain.
I found out why my hedgecutter was playing up. There is a little split in the fuel line. Luckily it is just where it connects to the nozzle, so I was able to shove it on a bit further, which stopped it from leaking.
It'll probably leak again, but at least it should be easily fixable without taking the carburetter to pieces.
emptybox
Good Morning Emptybox.

The vine siting idea was from the mechanical designer at work, thought I would try it anyway, it seems ok.

I used to have unlimited broadband but it's a lot more expensive so dropped it back to 10GB, but I'm up to 22GB now but BB is only on for 3 months, it will cost me an extra ÂĢ12 at least then this month, maybe, the rules changes 1st June.

I was hoping the public would vote for Keeva, then Shabby will walk out so we get rid of both together.
I like Sunshine & JJ, & Corin, don't like Josie now at all, think she's pretty nasty underneath, it's just waiting to get out.
And she keeps pressurising JJ to say he wants her and she would do anything to get Sunshine out and away from him.
Hicky
Good morning all
Another warm sunny day today. But we have a bit of cloud, and it does feel very sticky. The dog wanted her brekkie , but was not keen on a walk this morning, she is feeling the heat under all that fur, So I will just take her out late tonight.

Hicky
that sounds very clever what you have done with your vines.   Looking forward to seeing some pics.

Emptybox
that is good that you didn't need to fiddle with the carboreta. But let's hope the leak stays fixed now. Good job we have had a good summer, so you haven't got behind garden wise.
Yes, you are right,  we did have limited download in our last house, but when we moved here, because we were renting tempoary, we didn't want a tie in contract for 12 months so went for Zenn because they do monthly. We had a limit of 50GB a month originally, OH thought it wuold be plenty, but with the kids, it wasn't.   So it has now doubled to 100GB a month, which we still went over this month because of my livefeed. OH said we would stil have to be carefull with some of the unlimited, because they are not really unlimited is some cases when you use as much as we do. It is a new month tommorrow, so hopefully if it switches off today, it wont cost us too much more.
Who are you with Emptybox?  Are they good?  I know Hicky is with BT.

I am not sure out of the 2 who I want to go. I think Shabby is devious as well as annoying, attention seeking, and foul mouthed. I have just seen her on livefeed push the irish girl to agree to walk, if she (Shabby) is voted out. I think the Irish girl looked very reluctant to agree to this, but Shabby has been pushing for her to agree to this for some time now. Hope they show this on higlights. However, I don't beleive Shabby will walk if the Irish girl goes. I think she will make an excuse to postpone leaving, then use it to have tantrums and "poor me" airtime.  I also suspect, that lately, she has been setting up the irish girl to look bad (worse than herself) in the house, not that that is hard, because I dont' think the Irish girl is a very nice person anyway. And Shabby has been mixing some more with the other HM's herself, but she tries to isolate the Irish girl , she told her off for mixing with Dave. How sly...

I am not keen on Ife either, I think she can be quite nasty especially when she is with the other 2.
I want to like Josie, she can be funny, but as you say, I think there is some underlying nastiness at times. However, I think Sunshine does not have any nastiness in her at all. Hopefully she will stay.

time to get the washing out.
have a good day.

it just feels so stuffy today...
M
Evening.
Very hot and sultry here as well. I think thunderstorms might be on the way?

I'm with Orange for phone and broadband Mollie.
ÂĢ32 a month for unlimited broadband, phone line rental and evening and weekend calls.
I only have to pay for weekday calls, but I don't make many of those.

I know I could get cheaper, but I haven't had any problems for a while, and "unlimited" seems to mean what it says. I get about 3 or 4 Mb/s speed, which isn't too bad considering the distance from the exchange.

Not sure I would recommend them, as they don't have a good customer service reputation, and if anything goes wrong you get through to a call centre in India, and it takes ages for them to fix problems.

I doubt Shabby will walk if Caoimhe is evicted? Think it was just a ploy to get the public to vote Sunshine out? Hope it doesn't work.
But I think Caoimhe is the favourite to go.

I think you are right about the storms coming. Still humid here this morning, and looks cloudy.
Are you up to date garden wise, because of all the good weather we have had so far this summer?

thanks for the orange info. I think we pay about ÂĢ25 a month for the intenet, but it doesn't include phone. However, I lost my livefeed last night, because although OH had  bought another ÂĢ14 worth of extra intenet storage stuff, it only lasted us 2 days, then chopped me off.    So we had to get out the credit card again last night before we could get the internet back online again. Then my livefeed was frozen on the same pic of Ben in the garden, so no livefeed at all.  My OH emailed C4 a couple of times, and they fixed it, because it is ok this morning. But now I have to limit my watching now, because once we use our months allowance, we have found out, it costs a fortune, but fortunately it is a new month today, so we have another new 100gb allowance, so I can sneak a bit of livefeed in tonight.   So Emptybox, yours doesn't sound bad value, we have now spent ÂĢ55 this month, and that is without any phone.
So, I think we do need to move to someone who gives unlimited and means unlimited.

me and the family are all off to see Blood Brothers in Cardiff today. Son really interested in seeing it, as that was the last production his drama group did.
His drama group are busy rehearsing Sweeney Todd for this months perforumance.

Yes Emptybox, I can't see Shabby walking, she is all talk and overacting. I found her just so irritating on last nights show.

Hicky...
is it a work day today?

hope you both have a good day. xx
M
Good Morning Mollie & Emptybox.

Pretty damp here today, should be Sunny tomorrow.
Off till Monday anyway.
Have now got twinkling mini LED's around the vine trellis, 50 LED's, all Solar anyway.

Gone even further off Dave now after what he did to Sunshine, what a nasty man, this religious freak is becoming annoying.
It reminds me of the religious extremes in Afghanistan, and their control of the female population.
Not sure if BB will show it tonight but they should have told Dave off.

Don't like Josie either, she's a time bomb waiting to explode.

Some of these so called cheap deals on download/calls etc are usually pretty false with a penalty clause you aren't too aware of.
Hicky
Afternoon.

Was a bit wet this morning, so I got caught up with some paperwork. It's sunny again now though, so I'll get a couple of hours of gardening in now.
Luckily I'm just about up to date anyway.

Those LEDs sound good Hicky. The vines must look great at night.

I see Orange has what's called a 'Fair Use Policy', but it doesn't say how much it allows before it reduces your speed? I've never been affected, but then I don't think I  download anything like 100GB per month?
I watch stuff on BBC iPlayer every now and again, and the BB Live feed for maybe a couple of hours a day (if that), and downloading program updates etc.
I just like the unlimited service because I don't need to keep a check on what I am doing.

You would have to check with a new provider, exactly what they allowed, before you jumped ship Mollie.

Hope you and family enjoy the play.

What did Dave do to Sunshine Hicky?

I was watching live feed last night, and Sunshine was upset and went to the diaryroom, because JJ had dragged her to the pool, after she had thrown water over him, and she thought she'd been a bit 'overexposed' on National TV.    (her knickers had seemingly come adrift, but it wasn't shown on TV)
Went to bed before I saw how that turned out though.
emptybox
Good morning all

Hicky
your light system sounds lovley.   I am looking forward to seeing pics of it.
I hope you enjoy your long weekend break from work now.

It is a nice morning here today.

Gosh, what on earth did Dave do to Sunshine? I thought Sunshine like Dave. Like Emptybox, I only saw Sunshine  upset over JJ being rough with her. I thought Dave was a religious spourting nutter, but harmless in the house. And I also thought Josie is a bit bonkers, but ok. It is Shabby and Irish pal I see as being real nasty types, and often saying mean things about Sunshine.
But I do so hope Sunshine stays tonight. She is a swet natured girl.

Emptybox
how is the gardening going? Do you get behind with your paperwork when the weather is good?
thanks for tellng me about "fair use" bit.. I think that is what we need to watch out for. With 5 of us using it, I reckon we could easily go over what some of these providers consider "fair use". Yes.  I think we really need to check the smal print here, so we dont get ripped off.

Also, because we are thinking of changing ISP, does anyone know if we swopped to a cable  net provider, if that would help sort our our net slowness problems?  The phonelines here are not very good, OH said they only povide a slow service. Do Virgin and Sky used cables instead of phonelines for internet ? and if we swopped to them , would we have to pay to get a guy to come and put the cable in for it ? As we already have Sky here , do you think we could get net connetions through the Sky cable network, and so improve our net speed, and efficiency, because we don't have to rely on these slow phone lines here?  Or , will it make no difference, because they all still have to use these slow phonelines?

Blood Brothers was excellent yesterday. The actors put so much into it, Lyn Paul (ex New Seekers) played the lead, she was brilliant. She put so much into the part, she was still in floods of tears all through the clapping at the end. The audience stood at the end, never seen that before in that theatre for any show.I bought too much junk food from M and S foodhall. why is their food so irresistable?

have a good day all. Looking forward to tonights eviction.
I heard Shabby say last night to someone (not Irish pal), that she wouldn't be walking afer all if Irish pal went.   No surprise there then. Crafty devil... she got Irish girl to agree to walk if she (Shabby) got evicted, but wont walk herself. But Shabby always tries to get airtime with tantrums, and threatening to walk, and this "supposed" unrelented love with her pal. Ben was right when he said, because she was a professional actess,  it was hard to see when this woman was still acting a part.

Have a good day both. Hope it is sunny in your part of the country.
M
Gutted that Sunshine's gone.
I wish I'd voted now, but I didn't think I needed to. I thought Caoimhe was by far the favourite to go?
She had a great interview though.
I can't believe people preferred Caoimhe to Sunshine?

Mollie, I think it's only Virgin that does cable broadband.
If you're in a cabled area then cable would definitely be faster than ADSL down the phoneline. But you can only get it if there is already cable in your street. They will come and connect up your house.

Virgin do up to 50 Mb/s, but you pay through the nose for that, but a 10 Mb/s unlimited service is very reasonable. And you can now take the cable broadband without taking the whole Virgin TV package.
However Virgin are known for throttling the speed at peak times, and if you exceed their Fair Use policy.

Was a lovely day here with a nice cooling breeze, so I got a lot done. Will still have to work tomorrow though.

Glad you enjoyed Blood Brothers. I remember Lynn Paul.
emptybox
Good Afternoon Mollie & Emptybox.

Not a lot of Sun here at the Mo.
We are thinking of changing the layout of the garden, going to add area's of pretty bark chippings and Blue slate chippings to cut down the are of grass that needs cutting, have to put down the weed control sheets of course.

Have marked the area's using a string line with a stake and fastening the end of the string to a bar on the battery strimmer, you then cut a line through the turf with the strimmer head turned 90deg, easy enough.

Thar thing between Sunshine and Dave was the other night, they might not have shown it on the replay shows.
Dave had been telling Sunshine that he didn't approve of some of her make up and how she was wearing it.he then gave her 3 hours and she sill had black lipstick on, he was calling her names etc, he then grabbed her and forcibly kissed her and smeared all the lipstick all over her face making her remove it.

I was very surprised and sorry to see Sunshine go last night but BB has made sure she went because of the way they edited the nights vt, Shabby and Keeva got away easy.
There's no-one left for me to watch now, maybe I can listen to Ben but that's all.
I think they have ruined the show this year.
They are all too old this year, it takes the fun out of the show.
Hicky
Good Afternoon Mollie & Emptybox.

Took a few pics this afternoon.

1 is the Veg plot, 1 is the vines, & the other is the Potato Bags and a few other plants

We are going to rehash all the lawn area as it's just so boring, next year I'm after getting some Fruit Trees and planting in big Pots see they go on.
The Beauty is you can move them round at will depending on how much Sun they like.

http://s987.photobucket.com/al...20Veg%202020%20July/

The link worked OK, just click on the 1st Pic and then you can 'Next' to see the others, there are mini LED lights around the trellis bu hard to see.
Hicky
Evening.
Been a lovely sunny day here, so I got some of my work done.

Thanks for the photos Hicky. Everything is looking really good.
I presume it was the grandkids that added those birds, butterflys and flowers on sticks?

You're giving yourself a lot of work by changing the lawn. Turf removal can be heavy work. It'll be worth it though, to add interest to the garden.
emptybox
Hi Emptybox.

It was me & O/H that added the ornaments, it just makes things so much nicer.
O/H bought me the Scarecrow that I pit on top of the Trellis, it's screwed down anyway.

My Lad said he would do the Turf removal, it also has to go down another 50mm for the stone chips or Bark chips.

I was going to hire the mini JCB/Bulldozer, it's only ÂĢ100 for 24hrs with Vat & Fuel which is good really, it could do an awful lot of work.
Hicky
Good morning all

Emptybox
Glad to hear you got another sunny day, enabling you to get your work done.
I heard today, that we have had the driest 3 months for 45 years.

thank you for all that info about Virgin, this broadband stuff is a lot more complicated thatn I thought. But now OH has now found out, we can't even have Virgin, because we don't have the cables. When we move, it is someting we will check before we decide to go. Interesting how you say they mess aroundn with speed at peak times. I didn't know these suppliers did this. Do you think that is why ours goes on a go slow at some times of the day?  Usually evening times.

Hicky
those pics are just lovely. How nicely your vines and tress are coming on. You have been busy with it all.

Had a busy day yesterday. Doing mums shop in Asda, with cooked brekkie there, couldn't resist vising sales, and got a flowry vest dress, a flowery skit, and some black lace leggings.   All half price.

Tonight we are going to the Elvis Worlkd knockouts being held in Cadiff. I heard them talking about it on radio 5 this morning.
http://www.elvisworldcup.com/e...-cup.php?Action=Home
When we went to cardiff in the week, I saw one of the Elvisi's leaving the station. He looked so like Elvis, had loads of bags, and his family with him.

hope you have a good Sunday, xxx

we are off for a walk with doggie around the country hotel grounds here  http://www.coed-y-mwstwr.com/coed.php

Oh and I too was very annoyed that poor Sunshine got to leave. Crazy that the nasty duo of Shabs and Keeva stayed.
I saw a bit of livefeed yesterday. Dave so funny in that army task.
M
Hi Mollie and Hicky.

Very windy here today, but warm and mostly dry.

I did my weekly shop earlier, and now I'm going to wash the car and give it a general spruce up. It's next Saturday that it's going to be loaned out for a wedding, so I want it to look it's best.

It could be your ISP cutting your speed down Mollie? Especially if they think you are using too much bandwidth.
But it might just be because there is increased traffic at peak times? Difficult to tell.
But if there is a dramatic speed decrease at certain times, then it's likely to be your ISP.

Enjoy the battling Elvises tonight.

The JCB sounds not too bad value Hicky. And certainly more fun than a man with a spade.

Seeing Sunshine on BBLB just reminds me of what we will be missing in the house.
It was definitely the incident with JJ dragging her to the pool, and her being upset about it, that got the public voting against her.
If BB had shown the whole incident, I'm sure the public would have been on her side?
As it was it was made to look like she was exaggerating the whole thing, and getting JJ in trouble for nothing.
emptybox
Good Morning Mollie & Emptybox.

I read on the grape vine that Shabby & Keeva are leaving this morning, they probably expect to be nominated and it maybe too much strain to stand, one doesn't want to leave the other.

I'll get back later when I find out whats going on, don't think I'll be busy.

Rang the Docs about my Blood Tests, you get through now to a results line, she said there was a note saying they are normal, so thats OK, for now.
Hicky
Evening.

Glad your blood is normal Hicky.

I see Shabby walked, but Caoimhe  stayed. They got that the wrong way round surely?
You could see she was an actress on BBLB. She knew exactly how to behave. But she came over well, I thought.

Remember that BB is on at 8pm tonight, for some reason.

How did the Elvis Knockout tournament go Mollie? Did the biggest one win?
emptybox
Good evening all

Hicky
Glad to hear the blood test results were fine.
hope you weren't too busy at work today.

Emptybox
Where did you do your food shop?  Online or at the new little local supermarket?
Thanks for the isp info. Looks like there isn't a lot we can do about speed.

I see Shabby was on BBLB. So now, as Keeva didn't walk too,  I wonder if she will be voted out on Friday now?
I too miss Sunshine, shame Shabby didn't go on Friday instead of Sunshine.

All of my family enjoyed the Elvis competition. The Elivis's had come from all over the globe, eg... USA, Canada, Australia, South Africe. But the winner came from Scotland.   He was good though.  I resisted an ice-cream with the rest of the family in the interval, because we had a big bag of revels. I love the suspense of guessing what centre you end up with in a bag of revels.

Don't forget BB on at 8pm today.
M
Hi Mollie.
A 7 foot tall Elvis eh?
Glad the family had a good night out.
It's so long since I had a revel that I can't remember what they were like.

The 2 nearest towns to me are Kelso, that has a Haldanes, and Jedburgh, that has a Co-op.
They are both small supermarkets though. They have delicatessen counters, but no butcher's counter or cafe etc.
I mostly go to Kelso, because it's slightly bigger, but the beer is cheaper in Jedburgh, so I go there every few weeks to stock up.

They're supposed to be building a bigger supermarket in Kelso (Tesco I think) but that'll be a few years away yet. Kelso also has a Lidl, which I go to sometimes.

Got to get my supper ready now, so I can eat it while BB is on. Think I'll just have a pizza tonight.
emptybox
Good morning all
Another nice day here today so far. Hope it is wherever you are too.

Emptybox
hope you enjoyed your pizza. I love pizza. Last night I made a rhubarb crumble as a change from blueberry, because my mum gave me loads of rhubarb that she got from her garden. Very nice it was too, and I have plenty left over for today too.
You got your priorities right there, going for the supermarket with the cheap beers when you need to stock up.
I sometimes go to Lidl too. Some of the bits and pieces, in addition to grocery is quite good. I got OH to buy and fix a few of their fly screens for over some of our windows. We used to have them in Oz, very handy to stop all those flies coming in during this warm weather. And I have sometimes bought clothes from there.
I bet you are nicely up to date with all your gardens from all this warm weather we are having.

Hicky
is it work today?
how is the gardening going?

that is unusual, ony having 2 up for eviction.
I suppose the final 2 depends on the veto competition again though, doesn't it?

I hope we like the new HM's. there is no-one who I can really say I am a mad fan of this year. Most of them I find, although interesing HM's, are rather annoying.  I certainly wouldn't want to live with them.

have a good day.xxx
M
Hi Mollie and Hicky.

I see JJ let Caoimhe win the save & replace, and she chose Nathan.
I'd much rather Nathan went. I can't stand his foul mouth.

I also see they've got a robot behind a screen in the bathroom. Something to do with the shopping task, seemingly?

I am more or less on top of the gardening Mollie. The grass isn't growing much at all, at the moment. But there's plenty of hedges to cut etc.

I'll need to do something about the flys as well. I've had loads in the house. I spray them sometimes, but I don't think the spray is very healthy for me or the cat.
Plus, I don't really like killing things deliberately, but I do make an exception for flys when they get in my sugar bowl.

Good Morning Mollie & Emptybox.

Your Rhubarb Crumble sounds nice Mollie, I like a bowl now and again, haven't grown it for ages, it needs a lot of room.

Like you Mollie, I'm a long way from being attached to any HM, a very uninteresting lot.
I told Davina, she said I mustn't be watching.

Not sure what the Robot is for Emptybox, only had a quick glance.

Careful with that Fly spray, it's poison isn't it, you are supposed to spray into a room, shut doors and windows and get out, you mustn't breath the spray yourself.

We have a hose pipe ban here from Friday morning, will have to use a watering can for the veg etc.

Have worked out what I need to change the garden round.
34m of lawn edging, 55sqm of weed control matting, over 3,000kg of blue/green 30mm slate and a wheel barrow.

Have a nice day, hoping it's not too busy at work.
Hicky
Good morning all

Emptybox
glad to hear you are all up to date with the gardens.   I remember how difficult it was for you last year with all that rain.
Yes as Hicky says, sprays for flies not good if breathed in by us, although I hate flies, disease carrying things, and dangerous around our food. Lidl sold out now of fly screens, but I think these are similiar. Ours have velcro round them so you can open and close windows, cheap but effective.

can't believe how only after a few dry months, they have to do a hose spray ban. We have had rain today, so hopefully the ban won't last long up there. I hope it wont give you too much extra work in your garden.
That's quite a shopping list you have to sort your garden.
Yes, hope you aren't too busy at work today, and manage to get time to visit your forums. Do you have livefeed on at work today?
I hope this robot thing is interesting.
Let's hope we get a new HM who we can really take to.
wonder how many there will be?  Because we are still having an eviction, I take it we will be getting another extra one to replace Sabby?

Have to do invocing, vat stuff today, and have Sainsburys dropping off shopping later.
Hopefully will squeeze a bit of livefeed in too, want to see this robot at work.

have a good day.

Good Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

The Fly screens are a good thing for windows, the door one is a problem in the wind.
I've got live feed o at work, interrupted with work, which is a bind.

I was watching the Robot a bit today, it looked great fun.

Hope we get some good HM's Friday or next week.

Loved watching Ife being chased around the garden by a remote controlled little wheeled tank.
Hicky
Evening.

A sunny day, but very windy.

I've only seen the clips of the robot. Haven't seen anyone being chased, but I see Josie and Corin are wearing robot suits.

I see some of them are now turning on Corin.
JJ, Josie and Caoimhe were having a good bitch about her last night. They've decided she's fake.
Mind you, I don't like that Corin is friends with Nathan. But hopefully he'll be gone on Friday.

That'll be tricky for you, with a hosepipe ban Hicky.
We're not at that level yet, but it's much dryer than normal here as well.

Hope you had fun doing your invoicing and VAT stuff Mollie.

Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

Bought a few galv nails to replace some bad fitting ones in the fence top.

Went to Costco, they had some rolls of weed control matting, got a roll, plenty for what I want.
Also got a wheel barrow and a cast iron table.
Made the table up, but each time I started to make the wheel barrow it threatened to rain.
Got some Sushi and a big container of mixed pickles and cheese pieces.
Hicky
Good evening all
nice here again here today, hope it was for you too.

yes Hicky, the robot task was real fun. I like great tasks like that. That robot was huge, wasnt he?  Glad to hear you are able to get  livefeed at work.   I bet that makes your work days a lot more interesting.

Hope you are managing with no hosepipe.

I am looking forward to the new HM's , I bet you will both be glad to welcome the pretty new females.   I remember the Pop idol gir. I really liked her. I bet you will too HIcky as she lives near you.
I dont care what they look like but I hope for someone nice and fun.

Emptybox
yes I too want Nathan out on Friday. I don't like him, foul language, bad temper, and bossy in the kitchen.
I still havent got round to starting that paperwork yet.
How has your work day gone today?
M
