Hope you are all having a nice Easter sunday.
Had a bit of drizzle this morning, but it is nice now. Wind a bit chilly, but sun out now.

Emptybox
hopefully, you won't need to pretend to be a window shopper, because I think there were newspapers today. Enjoy your quiet day today.
Glad you enjoyed Doctor Who.

Hicky
at you going to a wedding party, and not even working out who it was who got married. Hope you have fun with the young visitors today.

I took my mum some daffs and After Eight for easter this morning and had a little walk  in the country hotels gardens today. We are going to Barry seafront in a minute. Think I will put my hat on because it will be very windy down there.

Have a good day both. xx
M
Happy Easter mollie and Hicky.

Yes, I got my papers as usual this morning.

Sunshine and heavy showers today.

I would say this weekend I can see a bit more green in the garden. The grass is getting that little bit of fuzz that shows it is starting to grow. Also the daffs are coming out on the sunny side of the garden.

Enjoy your seaside walk Mollie.

And i hope you have a good day with all the family Hicky.
emptybox
Emptybox
sounds like spring is working its way up to you, at last. All the daffs are open here now, and look lovely.
Had a lovely cliff walk with the  dog and the rest of the family on Barry Island. They have a sign in the amusement arcade saying "Gavin and Stacey filmed here".  I loved Gavin and Stacey.   It was very windy on the seafront, quite a cool wind too today. But we still enjoyed our fish and chips outside.

I hope Hicky is having a good day, I bet those youngsters and the rest of the visitors are keeping him busy.
M
Hicky
we posted together.
I thought the family might of been keeping you busy today. Glad you enjoyed the buffet. Did you and your OH make it?
Sounds like you are in need of that quieter day tommorrow.

I am watching Come Dine with Me. Do you watch it Hicky? I think some of the comments the commentator makes are dead funny.
It is from weston super mare tonight, where we used to live, and where all my kids were born. at the guest getting drunk on scrumpy cider and missing his mouth. I can recall the potency of that scrumpy in my youth, on the odd occasion.
M
Hicky
that is a bit of a nuisance, having to go downstairs to turn over.
Yes that scrumpy is strong, but it never seemed to taste it to me because it seemed to tast sweet.
Time for bed for me, all that bracing fresh air made me feel tired tonight. Think I will read my mags in bed.
Hicky...I bet you too are feeling tired after your busy day with all the visitors.
Emptybox...hope you enjoyed your quiet day today.

Goodnight all
M
Good evening all
Hope you had a good Easter Monday.
Weather wasn't bad here, felt a lot milder. I didn't even need my coat when we took the dog a walk today. But I did wear my nice new long rusty wooly cardy.

Hicky
hope you got your restfull day today, after your busy one yesterday, and you managed to unwind.

Emptybox
did you have a nice relaxing day today?

We had our special Easter roast dinner today, and we had the last of our Christmas crackers with it. These were the crackers we were supposed to have on New years day, but I was ill then , so we saved them for Easter dinner.

On Living tv at 9pm. it is 4 Weddings. I like this show. Tonight it is BB winners Pete's wedding, so should be interesting.
M
Hi Mollie.
Yes I just had a relaxing day.
The weather was showery though.

I went into town and bought a rose bush, that I'm going to plant.
I'll have to find a way to stop the rabbits devouring it. They love to strip roses, unfortunately.

I wish I could watch that Four Weddings prog for 2 reasons.
1) Aisleyne was Gemma's bridesmaid, at Pete's wedding.
2) Chanelle was a guest at the Michelle Marsh wedding.

You'll have to tell me how they came over.
If they were shown.

Watching Flash Forward now.
emptybox
Evening.

Bedtime soon comes round.
Had a quiet day today, didn't go out, no visitors either.
Made a big curry to put into those plastic freezable dishes.
With the lads not being here I can do that.

Work in the morning, watched EastEnders and Masterchef and a few others, nothing exciting.

Catch you in the morning, but it's the end of the first quarter on the vat so I'll have quite a bit of work to do.
Hicky

Two Corrie characters to die in Tony Gordon blaze?

Two Corrie characters to die in Tony Gordon blaze?

Two Coronation Street characters will reportedly die in a terrifying blaze orchestrated by villainous Tony Gordon.

After escaping prison with the help of former cellmate Robbie Sloan, the Coronation Street bad boy, played by Gray O'Brien, undertakes an armed siege at knicker factory Underworld.

According to the Sun, two body bags are carried out at the end of the siege, but the identity of the victims has not been revealed.

Armed with a gun, knife and petrol can, Tony plans to kill cheating ex-wife Carla Connor (Alison King), as well as Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh) as revenge on her husband Roy (David Neilson), who helped convict him.

But Maria Connor (Samia Smith), Roy and Becky McDonald (Katherine Kelly) get drawn into the scheme.

A source told the Sun: "By the end of it there are armed police and the street is evacuated and sealed off.

"When it is all over, two body bags are carried out."

Tony was sent to prison for murdering Carla's lover L

Hicky
Good evening all
Emptybox
Glad to hear you had a relaxing day yesterday.
What colour will your roses be? Funny you should say about bunnies eating roses. I used to have a pet bunny when I was a kid, and he lived wild in our back garden. And my mum would have a fit because he kept eating her roses.   So roses must be a known fave for bunnies.
Did you get out to do any gardens today?
4 Weddngs was really good, but I didn't notice either of the BB women you mentioned on it. There is a web page on Living tv about it, you may be able to find some more on there, or maybe watch some of it. Here it is.. http://www.livingtv.co.uk/shows/four-weddings/

Hicky
Thanks for the Corrie news.   Sounds like a real interesting storyline, I wonder who they kill off?  Hope it isn't one of my fave characters.  I hope you aren't too tired after your busy day at work. Have they told what days you have to work yet?
My OH settling in at work ok, especially as he is able to work extra in the week, and take half days on Fridays.
Been a mild day here today, and dry too.
M
Evening Mollie and Hicky.
I didn't work today, because it was cold windy and wet.
I think tomorrow should be better though.

I only bought one rose Mollie. A yellow one called 'Golden Wedding'.
I planted it this afternoon during a dry spell, and I put netting round it to try to defeat the rabbits.

We've got a rose bed already, but the roses have all died. Partly because the rabbits ate them, and partly because my Dad caught them with weed killer last year.

So I just bought one just now to see if it would survive. If it does, I'll get more next year maybe.

Thanks for that link. They do have some clips - here
I caught a glimpse of Aisleyne half way through the first clip. She is wearing a blue dress, with a blue band in her hair, and a gold belt.
No sign of Chanelle though.
emptybox
Good Morning Everyone.

It's picked up a bit now, Sun has come out, slight wind.

Just had some brekkie, watching 'This Morning'
One SIL has gone down to SE London for a Funeral of an Aunt, taken my MIL and my SatNav, I put the Post Code in, as the address wouldn't go in, it was a Hotel and it wouldn't let me put 'The Five Lakes Hotel' in as an address so I don't know what your supposed to do.
Hicky
Good afternoon all
not a bad day here either today, HIcky.
Hope you are enjoying your day off.
Strange how you couldn't find it by the hotel name. Hopefully the post code will get her there ok.

Hope it is a better day today for Emptybox today, so he doesn't get too behind with his gardens.

Emptybox
Glad the link of the 4 Weddings site was of use to you.
Hope the rose grows ok. They do look so nice when they are in flower.

Took the dog a walk this morning, did plenty of washing, think I need to pop to Tescos for a few provisions soon too.
M
Evening.

It was a lovely day here. Quite warm this afternoon as well.
I got some gardening done.
I haven't cut anyone's grass yet though. I had a look at some places, but nobody's was quite ready yet. Probably from Next week though.

I keep meaning to get into the wonder of SatNav Hicky, but I haven't taken the plunge yet.

I'll have to go and make my supper now. Haven't even given it a thought up to now. Probably just be something simple this late.
emptybox
Good Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

There's nowhere in the SatNav to enter a House name, it just expects a number of a house.
But they found it OK.
I defo think everyone should have one, but get a good Tom Tom Emptybox, think you'll appreciate it, great fun.

Had some Wonton soup, with a crab sandwich and a dish or stir fry thats heated in the microwave.
O/H went to the Gym this afternoon but is worried she isn't getting enough strength/energy from the food she's eating.

I'm going to work tomorrow, didn't see them on Tuesday night because they were working later and they said I could leave at 6pm so I'm assuming they want me to go in tomorrow.

Just watching Masterchef Australia.
Hicky
Hi Hicky.
I'm definitely thinking about a SatNav. Not for round here, but for when i go further afield.

I had my supper from a tin.
Well three tins to be precise. One had new potatoes in it, one had sweetcorn, and the third had crab meat.
I heated up the potatoes and sweetcorn, but had the crab cold. Very tasty it was as well.

Good morning all
it is a lovely sunny spring morning here today. Looks like the weather is looking up for a few days everywhere now.

Emptybox
Glad to hear you were able to get out to get a bit of work done.
Good job you had those tins to hand to throw together a quick meal there.

Hicky
Hope they don't overwork you today.
Yes these satnavs are great. My OH often uses his. Very usefull not only to find your way to a new place, but if you come across a huge traffic jam, we have often used it to take another way avoiding busy roads.

Today we are going to see Oklahoma at the theatre. Daughter especially wanted to see it, so her, my son, my mum and me are going. Other son is staying home gaming with his friends and looking after the dog. I am glad it is so nice as we have a fair bit of walking from station.

Have a good day all.
M
Hi Mollie.

Was pretty busy at work, my Safety glasses fell apart again, couldn't believe it,
The screw must have unscrewed itself and the glass had fell out,I thought it was hard to see when I put them on, I then took them off to look to see if the glass needed cleaning when i=I noticed the glass missing.

The boss in the office had some spare bits and I got out magnifying frame down and found a 1mm watchmakers screwdriver and mended them, very pleased with myself, but love mending things.

My Lad might be moving to Darwin as the is a job there for the firm he is with, more money and a higher grade, he works above his grade anyway.
O/H had a good old chinwag this morning on webcam and Skype.

Just a couple of pieces of Cod Loin, one was for O/H but she didn't fancy it, the price as well, so I ate both.
Hicky
Hi Mollie and Hicky.

Not too bad a day here.

Hope you enjoyed the Theatre Mollie.
Was that in London, or closer to home?

Those dratted glasses again Hicky. You must be sick of them by now?

I suppose a cod has a loin? But not sure if I could point to it. Glad you enjoyed yours and your OH's

Just watching 'How the Other Half Lives' on CH4.
emptybox
Good morning all
Hicky
Shame about those safety glasses breaking again, but good job you managed to fix them. Let's hope they stay fixed now. That's good that the cod didn't get wasted, and of course it is so good for you, it doesnt matter if you eat double portions.

Emptybox
Glad you had a good day up there again. According to the forecast, looks like the whole country is due for a period of summer weather now. Our grass is really looking long now.
We went to Cardiff to see Oklahoma, it is only a 20 minute train journey for us. My mum enjoyed it too, but she was tired after the long walk from the station, and all the steps to climb at the station, and in the theatre. She gets a bit breathless now when climbing, but with the weather being good yesterday, I thought it would do her good to go out.
Thanks for the link. I like to see picies of these events when the BB people go. I thought Sophie looked lovely in that bright coloured dress, and with that pretty decoration in her hair. I wasn't keen on the dress Ais had on, nor the grey boots, with just plain black. But as you know I like colour in outfits, and don't like to see plain black/grey clothes. Plus I think the frock was so short, it looked like she was wearing a T shirt, but minus the jeans.

Hope you have a good day in the sunshine everyone. Off to peg all the sheets out. OH has half days on Fridays in his new job, which is nice, so I expect we will go out this afternoon.
M
Hi Emptybox and Mollie.

Sophie had said she was going to a Premier, forgot to ask which one.
She did look Fab, I thought Ais looked good as well, nice and tidy dress.

Taking it easy today, was chatting with Stevie Gerard's Mrs last night, he bought her an Aston Martin for her Birthday, not the sort of thing I get.LOL

That's OK if your O/H has half day Friday, at least you will be able to get out if it's nice.

Will have to go to Sainsbury's for some brekkie food for the weekend.

Just going to thaw out a few small crab legs in the oven, it says wrap in foil, so i'll try that.

Tweeted to Chantelle this morning, she said she was sitting out enjoying the Sun.
Hicky
Hi Hicky and Mollie.

Not a bad day here. Got some more work done anyway.
I still haven't cut any grass yet, but I was scarifying and aerating a lawn.

No idea who "Stevie Gerard" might be Hicky? Presumably some footie player?
But i wouldn't say no to an Aston.
I haven't heard much about Chantelle recently? What's she up to?

I thought Ash's dress was nice Mollie. Mind you I quickly panned down to the pins.
She seems to be favouring black for the last few premieres she's been to, although that one was actually "midnight blue" according to this MSN report.
But she likes colours as well.

Hope your Mum enjoyed the musical?

I've been watching the Harry Potter film on ITV1 this evening.
Not sure there's much else on?

Oh! I've just seen on the news that it's the Grand National tomorrow. Not that I back anyone, but I hadn't realised it was that time again.

Hi Emptybox.

This is Steven Gerrard, fantastic footy player for Liverpool.
On pretty good money as well.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Gerrard

Chantelle hast told us much, she has question and answer sessions but won't speak  about her personal life.
She's always on twitter though.

Ais looked Ok in the dress I thought, it did look a very dark blue in the end.

I've been watching a webcam with Lucie on it from her house it's a twitcam link and anyone can set it up if your on twitter.

It was a nice day here, only went to the supermarket for a few bits to eat, I've got plenty really, but a bit for in the fridge.

The National seems to have come round very quick as you say, might put a bet on but not very well up on horses.
Hicky
My Lads moving jobs to Darwin, same company just a vacancy that came up.
And he gets a 4 x 4 as well, so he's looking at them.
And he gets more money and a higher grade.
He's pretty chuffed really.
He's going to have to find new friends again, but he's not bothered about that.

Just watching Dr Who, then Over the Rainbow looking for Dorothy.
Hicky
Good evening all

Hicky
sounds like you are still enjoying this twitter thingie.
I bet you enjoyed your brekkie today. I am trying to just have fruit for brekkie, I want to get rid of some more weight before we go away to the Corrie party next month. I had a banana and a kiwi fruit today, and now I don't eat anything up to 2 hours before bed.
When do you go away Hicky? It is not long now, is it?
Glad to hear your son is doing so well. I met a few people who lived in Darwin, it gets very hot and steamy there in summer, but I have heard it is a very nice town to live in. I hope he enjoys his new job.
I too have been watching that "Somewhere over the Rainbow" each week. Some really good singers on it.

Emptybox
Glad the weather was ok , so you got some work done again yesterday. What is scarifying a lawn?   Does it involve   My mum did enjoy the musicial, thanks. So I was glad we took her. Hope you got the nice weather up there again today.
So Ais had a blue dress....., I do prefer blue to black. It must just be that it looks black in the piccy.

We took the kids and dog out for a day in Weston super Mare today. It was very busy there, because of the lovely weather, I guess. The new pier is nearly finished now and should be open in June. there was lots of donkeys on the beach, and the kids had chips (I nicked 2 of them ) We bought this huge flouresent foam football, that my son enjoyed kicking along the beach. The dog loved digging in the sand.
Lets hope this nice weather last for us all.

Does BB start in May or June?
I guess we wont have livefeed again though?

Goodnight all
off to bed now, that should help me forget how hungry I feel.
M
Evening.

It was a lovely warm day here, but I think it's supposed to be cooler next week.

I took a chance and planted my seed potatoes. Shouldn't think there'll be any frosts now. Not proper ones anyway.

I also cleaned the muck off the garden furniture ready for sitting out in the summer.
Not that I ever do sit out, but it looks better if it's clean.

Scarifying means power raking Mollie. I was using an electric scarifyer that pulls out all the moss and dead grass etc and leaves the lawn fresher.
Aerating means punching holes in the lawn with a fork or an aerating machine, to let air into the soil.
I'm not sure it really makes much long term difference, but I get paid to do it.
Never bother with my own grass.

Weston super Mare sounds great.

That's really good news for your son Hicky.
I had the National on in the background. The finish was very exciting though.

I watched Dr Who, but thought they should have had an episode with Amy getting to know the tardis etc, rather than just getting stuck into a rather cheesy story-line. But it was OK.

Watching the X-Men 2 film now.
emptybox
Morning Emptybox & Mollie.:-)

My Lad said Darwin doesn't have seasons as such, but it has changes.

I go away at the end of May, only for a week though.
Still trying to sort out passports for my Lads youngsters, the rules have changed so much and it's a real pain, even for renewals.

Sounds like a good day then in Weston Super Mare, it will be good having a new Pier, everyone loves a Pier, after so many getting washed away in storms.

Not sure what the starting date of BB is.

Will be getting some seed potatoes, maybe today, I see they are getting planted around now.

I'm liking the new Dr Who, well his female helper really.
Hicky
Good evening all

Emptybox
Glad to hear you had the warm weather too yesterday.
Let's hope your seed potatoes do well now you have planted them.
at you getting the garden furniture ready for sitting out on, when you never actually sit out on it. Oh well, I guess it is all ready now incase you change your mind, and decide you do want to sit out on it, when summer comes.
Well I think it is a good idea to carry on scarifying without question, if you get paid for it.
OH cut our grass today with his new mower. He said it is a lot easier than his old one.

Hicky
Yes they do seem to of made getting these passports a whole lot more complicated, and more expensive, of course.    Good job you got yours all sorted well in advance.
Yes Weston used to be a great historic pier, shame it burnt down a couple of years ago, but it is good news that they are rebuilding a new one. Fortunately the metal structure was ok, so they only had to rebuild the end part.
When does you lad move to Darwin? I bet he is looking forward to a change and seeing a different part of the country.
Did you get your seed potatoes today?
Do you know if you can grow them without a garden?  I know you can grow some stuff in bag things. I can't get a veg area in this house, because the landlady only had grassed areas. Really bad quality grass too.

It was a nice day here today again but a little cooler than yesterday.
I sat in the garden and read a mag for a while, whilst OH watcehd the footie. Then this evening I went with the rest of the family for a bike ride. It was nice bike riding weather. Our litle dog has been shattered all day after her excitement of visiting Weston yesterday.

Hope you have all had a good Sunday.
Goodnight all
M
Hello Mollie and Hicky.
Another lovely day here.

Did some hoovering and other housework, but apart from that I took it easy.

You can definitely grow potatoes in containers Mollie. Probably in bags as well, but the normal grow bags wouldn't be big enough, but you can buy special bags like this.

My neighbour was cutting her grass this afternoon, so it won't be long till I have to cut mine.
If it's good weather I will definitely cut one of my customer's grass, wether they like it or not.

Are you taking your whole family with you in May Hicky? That'll be nice.
But a headache with the arrangements, I would think.

I like the Dr's new companion as well.
I'm always a sucker for red hair.
emptybox
Hi Mollie & Emptybox:wave@

Not sure when my Lads moving to Darwin, will check up.
Did n't get the seed spuds, will look in th week.

Got some black polish stuff for the outside plastic area's on the car, and there's plenty.
Only did one side of the car, needed a rest.

Going on Holiday is me & O/H, One of my Lads, his wife to be and her 2 kids, one a 13yr old girl and a 3yr old Lad, that's just 6 of us.

Work in the morning.
Hicky
Good evening all
Emptybox
thanks for the potato link, I fancy having a go at those.
Glad you too got the nice weather there.
It was nice here too again today.
I finished off cutting the grass that OH didn't have time to finish last night. But not without a few obstacles first.   I had to phone him because I couldn't get it to come on even after I plugged it in. He said I need to plug the black plug bit in on the mower first. And then when I took the box off, I couldn't remember how to put in on again, so had to cut the rest without collecting it. I hate trying to work out how to use electrical stuff.   Oh well, at least the exercise worked off a few calories.
As you like redheads, do you like the redhead on Somewhere Over the Rainbow? I thought she was a very good singer, and very pretty too.

Hi HIcky
hope they didn't overwork you today.
Oh, that is good that Britains Got Talent stars this week. I love that show.
Looking forward to watching Joanna Lumley tonight, her last travel programme about the Northern lights was really interesting.
Your holdiay sounds like it will be fun, with all those different age groups.  I love family hols.

Nearly time for Cor Street.
