Sorry to hear you were put off your gardening by rain Hicky. Never mind, you got a good meal instead.

Was an OK day here. We got a shower at 4.30pm, but apart from that, it was dry.

I heard the government had to change their plans rather than risk being defeated in the expenses vote. It's another blow to GB, but doubt if it'll lead to an election soon?

What's this about Lorraine in The Apprentice mollie?
You can't say you've read some juicy stuff and then not say what it was.
She hasn't got the most attractive face, but perhaps she makes up for it in other ways?

Well I've packed in the garden for tonight, some of the jobs need 2 people really, trying to hold these small edging sections while trying to belt them with a massive flagging mallet isn't much fun, they won't go in straight, I'll have to wait for my Lad another day.

I just cannot describe it to you.... not sure if I can put the link here, but if you google Newsoftheworld, you will see it on the front page, just click on it, and you get to read the whole "interesting" story. I was shocked that it was Lorraine, of all people.

I am watching Peter and Jordan in LA on itv2 now. Do you watch it? It is so sweet, it is the bit with the kiddies I like best. Peter is wonderful with the kidides. The 2 little ones, remind me of my 2 youngest, when they were smalll, the way they are always together, and with such a close age gap. Peter was laughing at the little boy, he kept nagging the waitress for a kiss on the lips. And he is only 3.

Oh so Lorraine has been a naughty girl . Evening all. Yeah I plan to catch up on the Apprentice at the weekend.

I've just looked at the story molie, and you're right, I wouldn't have picked Lorraine as being into that kind of stuff.

I think you have to take it with a bit of a pinch of salt, because she says her boyfriend is threatening to dump her because she talked about it on the show. But we haven't seen any of that stuff.

She does look better in the photos. On the show she looks like she's got some kind of skin condition. Acne or something?

My Shortbread turned out fine, it was hard work though, cakes are much easier.

Hi Mollie.

The Shortbread mix was very stiff because there's no liquid in the recipe, jusy butter, sugar and plain flour, so to mix all the flour in is difficult, you should probably use your hands.
Then I rolled part of it to about 1cm thick and cut into fingers, when they are all done you put the tray into the fridge for 20 minutes, then pop into the oven at 190C for 15/20 minutes, mine being a Fan oven I set at 165-ish but had to put the biscuits back in for another 10 minutes as they weren't done enough.

I meant to add Vanilla and lemon Zest, but forgot with the mix being that hard to mix.

Jordan's little Girl sure looks cute, think her name is Princess isn't it.

I got a morning's work done, but the rain came on about 1 pm, so the afternoon was a washout.
It's brightening up now, but a bit late.
Rather chilly and windy.

Shortbread is just as nice without lemon anyway Hicky.

I just upgraded two computers to Internet Explorer 8. A few subtle differences, but not much.

I am loving my usual fave Corrie, the Apprentice, Britains Next Top Model, Question Time, Jordan and Peter, Shipwrecked.

Do you like our new home ? I do. I love the fact we can do these smilies.

But I must admit to feeling rather sad the day we bid our last goodbyes to the old place. After all, over the 6 years I was there, I had had some fun times.

I know I can rely on emptybox for information Mollie. I'm keeping well and intend to keep in touch if this thread stays open, unlike the C4 threads. My jobs tend to stop me keeping up with soaps or reality programmes, so I mainly watch sport at the weekends. I do enjoy Shipwrecked though.

I've just got back from a lovely evening meal out with some of my daughter's friends and some of the family. The meal was delicious and no washing up to do, with even better company.
The friends are now in the living room with DVD, drinks and sleeping bags. We're relegated to the kitchen

Suzie. What a nice treat to go out with pleasant company for a meal. Did you go to a pub ? We love going to the Harvester on special occasions. I really like the salad cart in those pubs.

Hope you are not too uncomfortable in the kitchen while your daughter has fun with her friends in the lounge. Do you not find it tempting to nibble while you are in the kitchen? I do. But I guess if you have just been out for food, you shouldnt be ??
