Good Morning Everyone.

Chilly here but lovely and Sunny, just had my Kippers for brekkie, watching Saturday Kitchen, good program.

It says Snow here on Monday, but don't think it will be a problem.

That prawn stirfry sounded good, did you get a stirfry veg mixed pack from the supermarket, they do some lovely packs of very to fry food.
Well Sainsbury's do anyway.
Hicky
It's very Misty/Foggy here at the Mo.

Had a full house this afternoon because of the Derby game Liverpool/Everton, lots of little ones, baked some Cookie Choc Chip, had loads of fruit in as well.

Having the Lamb Balti for tea. O/H having the un-dyed smoked fillet of Haddock I got yesterday.

She has been out with the partner of one of my lads looking for a Wedding dress, but they can't see anything they like in the shops and most of them they like are on line but you can't try them on of course.

Fraudster nicknamed 'eBay boy' ordered to pay back just  ÂĢ1 after stealing more than ÂĢ100,000

'eBay boy': Phillip Shortman arriving at court

A notorious internet fraudster who duped eBay customers out of more than ÂĢ100,000 was yesterday ordered to pay back just ÂĢ1.

Conman Phillip Shortman, 22 - nicknamed 'eBay boy' by police - lived a luxury lifestyle from illegally trading on the auction site.

He took holidays in New York, hired stretch limos and bought expensive designer clothes.

Dozens of his customers across Britain demanded their money back after police raided the house where he lived with his parents.

But a court heard serial fraudster Shortman has spent every penny of his five-year internet crime spree.

He is currently serving a 30-month jail sentence for a series of 16 frauds on eBay.

Shortman was facing a ÂĢ7,000 confiscation order under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

But a hearing at Newport Crown Court was yesterday told that two previous confiscation orders for a total of ÂĢ95,000 had been unsuccessful.

Prosecutor John Warren said: 'The situation is that Shortman has no assets and cannot pay any money back.'

Judge David Morris ordered Shortman to pay a nominal ÂĢ1 - or face an extra seven days in jail.

Father-of-two Shortman was told that because he has no assets his ÂĢ102,000 debt was effectively being wiped out.

But if he comes into money after he is released he could face further action to recover his customers' losses.

A Gwent Police spokesman said after the case: 'He just doesn't have any money - as soon as he got it he spent it.

'We just hope he wins the lottery one day - that's the only way his customers could ever get their money back.'

Shortman was just 17 when he started advertising goods on eBay which did not exist from the bedroom of his home in Cwmbran, South Wales.

His scams included selling non-existent Six Nations rugby tickets, computer games, computer graphic cards and a PlayStation 3 console.

Shortman used the proceeds of his crime to fly first class to New York, staying in a five-star hotel overlooking Times Square.

He hired stretch limos for nights out in Cardiff with his teenage pals and liked to dress in expensive designer gear.

After being alerted by eBay, police raided his home and found it stacked with top-of-the-range computer gear, hi-fis and flat screen TVs.

But after being arrested and released on bail Shortman continued to con customers.

When he was jailed last year Judge Morris told Shortman: 'You are a thoroughly dishonest young man.

'This is a deliberate and mean fraud perpetrated against the general public.'

Evening Hicky.
Been a cloudy, misty day here, but quite mild.

Yes I get a stirfry mix from the supermarket. I like the chinese ones with lots of beansprouts. I fry the prawns in a bit of oil and garlic then add the stirfry and toss it about for a bit.
The pack doesn't keep long so I usually have a prawn stirfry, then a chicken one 2 or 3 days later. I think I'll leave that till Monday, and have something with potatoes tomorrow night. Probably lamb chops?
Spag Bol tonight.

Bet Mollie has had a busy day today.
I did a bit of furniture moving as well. Well I brought a bookcase downstairs to the lounge.
emptybox
Good Day Everyone.

Lovely Sunday again.

Hi Emptybox, I love the beansprouts as well.
If you can get the prawns in the shells or uncooked ones they are a lot tastier, peel the cooked ones and add to the stirfry, don't wash because you will lose the flavour, if they are raw, just quick fry in a little butter with pepper and a squeeze of lemon then add to the stirfry with the juice.

You might need a little Oyster sauce to the stirfry as well as the Soy sauce.

I just don't trust them on Ebay somehow, unless it's a company.

Hope everything went ok with the move Mollie, it's always a busy time, hate moving myself, too much gets thrown out.
Hicky
No I do like ebay Hicky.
I like to think of it as recycling other folks unwanted stuff.
I've sold a few things as well. The biggest thing was my Mercedes car.
Took a bloomin' load of bubble wrap to get that posted, I can tell you.

I've bought a cheap cassette deck this week on ebay. Hasn't been delivered yet though.
I wanted to play some cassettes (first time in years), and went round and found that out of about 5 players in the house, the only one working was a little mono battery jobbie that I used to use to load programs on to my Sinclair Spectrum.
So I thought, that was no good, because I've got 40 or 50 cassettes that I could be playing.

I listened to some tapes today (on the little portable), that I made when I was about 18, and thought I was going to be a rockstar.
I used to overdub between two cassette players, and built up multiple guitar parts and vocals. I thought they were great at the time. Bloomin' 'orrible it was, listening to them back.

Misty murky and mild here again. 5 degrees C
They are predicting some snow again for tomorrow, but I can't see it myself?

Good Evening Emptybox.

EBay would be my last resort, but if a trading company had the item that would be ok.
But I wouldn't buy private.

I don't play cassette's any more anyway, too much messing if they get trapped in the car unit.

It says Snow here Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
We'll just have to wait and see.

I was watching DOI before, it seems pointless the judges giving marks when the public are voting for the Celeb, nothing to do with the Skating or Dancing anyway.

And they all marked on couple down a point 2x0.5 because they fell, when it was the Pro that tripped on something that had fell onto the Ice, how pathetic is that, that was in the headbanger one which was brill.
Hicky
Good evening all
well what a busy and exhausting weekend it has been for me and OH.
but at least we had lovely weather for moving day.
So all went well.
Today OH spent hours cleaning up my mums old place, whilst I unpacked stuff to set her up when she moved in. She stays there tonight for the first time.

Hope you both had a good weekend.
Hicky.. shame your OH and future bride didn't find what they wanted in the shops. When we went to a wedding last year, I couldn't find what I wanted in the shops either, and it was hard work looking. But luckily I found what I wanted online. You can order it, and with the big stores if you don't like it, or it doesn't fit, you just return it to your local store.   I did this with Debenhams, but did find just the top and shoes I needed, and bougt the dress from in a shop. Hope they find something they like.

Emptybox...
You wanted to be in a rock band?    that sounds interesting   Were you playing an instrument or singing? You said it was mild and 5 degrees yesterday. It was 5 degrees here today, but they count that as a cold day down here, not a mild one.

I was too tired to cook tonight, so I had cheese and tomatoe on toast, with a couple of glasses of Rose wine, and some Easter egg. We had bought the kids some Easter eggs whilst they were on offer at a ÂĢ1 in Asda. We went in garage to find them, and a big chunk had been nibbled out of one of them.   The Nestle eggs have stopped putting plastic wrap on the outside, so a mouse must of had a feast from it.   We bought the rest in, and decided to eat them tonight.

goodnight all.
busy again tommorrow, have to write up the inventory, then meet the agent at the old place.
M
Hi Mollie.
Bet you're glad the weekend's over.
And you've still got a bit to do yet.

Yes, 5 degrees is very mild here.
Think it's back to freezing from tomorrow night on.

Easter eggs??
Is that ones left over from last year, or early ones for this year?
I'm sure the mouse thought it was Christmas, never mind Easter.

I was never in a band Mollie, but thought I would be a great guitarist. Of course it didn't help that I never really learned how to play properly.
However I used to make tapes playing rock songs that I liked, and singing along to them.

I would record one part, then play it back on one tape player and record myself playing along to it on another tape recorder, and so build up songs that way. I didn't have to be able to play very well in order to get it to sound good.
Later on I got a more sophisticated machine that could mix in the input from a mic, so I could do it all on the one machine .

It was just a hobby that I did at home. I never played with anybody else.
I still can't play any better than I could then.

Night.

Hi Hicky. Hope you enjoy your lie in tomorrow.

We had some rain here midday, then a little snow, then back to rain again.
It's about 3 degrees here, so not as cold as forecast.
The forecast is still saying snow though.

I had the other bit of my stirfry. With chicken this time.
Very succulent it was.
I didn't have any soy sauce, but put a bit of worcester sauce on, and a bit of anchovy sauce on as well.  All added to the flavour anyway.

Not much on TV. Watched that programme with the MPs trying to spend a week living in tower blocks. Austin Mitchell is an old chauvanist, but apart from him it wasn't very interesting.

Hope Mollie's Mum is begining to settle in her new abode.
emptybox
Good afternoon all

Hicky..
hope you are having a good day off, and enjoyed a nice lie in.

Emptybox
Sounds like you are becoming an old hand with the stirfry.
Your singing recordings sound interesting. You should of given Britians Got Talent a go.

My mum is settling in well thanks, but OH has had a few things to sort like postitioning of the phone etc, and I am still working on all sorts, eg meter readings, changing insurance etc. There is a fault with the boiler so we have had to book the gas to come out too. It seems a nice place though.

Our Easter egss are early ones for this year, not last years. Thought we'd get some in early whilst they still had the cheap ones, except we have eaten most of what the mouse left now.

Nice day here today, bit chilly, but sunny.
M
Good Afternoon Everyone.

It's not too bad here Sun has been and gone, but it's mild.

Had a nice Lie-in though.
Brekkie was good.
Had to make it though.

We'll be seeing Emptybox on a cooking program soon.

Glad you Mum is ok in her new place, there's always loads of little things to do.
Pity about the boiler, but if they are left not in use they can have problems.
But it's probably a problem that the previous owners didn't want to fix.

Oh, Suns out again, yippppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeee,
Hicky
Went out for a meal, it saved cooking one.

I had beef madras, and started with breaded mushrooms.

When we got in O/H fancied a couple of small pots of Ambrosia creamed rice.

As it was in the micro for a minute she was making us tea and said what's that smell, it's like some thing is burning, I looked at the micro and there was a small flame inside, I opened the door and blew the fire out, it looked as though some of the top removable cover had been left on and it's tin foil.
This must have heated so much it set fire to the little plastic container.

Will have to clean it out now because the smoke has left black marks inside and they wont come off with a quick wipe.

I'm going to Birkenhead market with O/H Friday morning for some salt fish and a few other bits (all food of course)
Hicky
Hi Mollie and Hicky.
I don't think you'll be seeing me on the telly any time soon, either cooking or singing.

That sounds dangerous with your microwave Hicky.
I guess you have to be careful with any foil in them?

Glad your Mum's place is nice Mollie. Pity about the boiler, but I'm sure you'll get that sorted out.

Mixed bag weatherwise here today. A bit of snow, a bit of rain and a bit of sun.
The forecast for tomorrow is dry, but we'll have to see.

Watching Survivors tonight. That's always good.
emptybox
Good Morning Everyone.

Wednesday again, not bad here, bit cold that's all.

The piece of foil O/H left on the plastic pot was only about 3mm wide and 25 long, not sure how the plastic caught fire though, thought it might just melt, but if plastic gets very hot it will give off a gas, that's what must have caught fire, the foil must have burnt red hot and ignited the gas.

It was a good job we where in the kitchen as the fire would have really taken hold, it couldn't get out of the microwave though as it has a metal case.
Hicky
Good evening all

Hicky
that microwave fire sounds a bit scary. I have had those pots of creamed rice, and it is strange how they use foil on the lids, when they are meant to go in the microwave.
But glad to hear you had a nice meal out last night.
Was it a work day for you today?

Emptybox
I bet it is cold up there again, because it is cold here, we even had a few flakes of snow here today.
Not much on tv tonight, think we will watch Horizon, that can be quite interesting.

I wonder if we will get a Shipwrecked series this year Hicky?

The gas man has fixed my moms boiler. The water was over heating,  so she needed a new thermomstat, so it didn't take him very long.
M
Hi Mollie.

The foil should all be stripped off really, but it doesn't always all come off.
Only a tiny bit was lefts all it took.

It was a work day, not too bad, had a few hours free, that's all.
We went out again for a meal, the Hungry Horse tonight, not bad really, pretty cheap as it's another buy get 1 free.

We've been invited to another of my lads for his birthday on Easter Sunday, he's 42, he's probably laying on a meal as well.
He only lives about 40 miles or so away, will probably need my SatNav to find him.

Don't know about Shipwrecked this year, I hope so, we need something.

Glad they fixed the boiler, the stat must have seized up.
Hicky
Evening.

Well I woke to a blanket of snow this morning.
It's been a mostly sunny day, but cold so the snow is largely still here. Nothing compared to a few weeks ago though.
It's minus 3 at the mo, so another frosty night.

The cassette deck that I bought on ebay came today. It must be well over thirty years old, but still working fine. In fact the sound is so good that it might be worth me trying to get some of my cassettes onto the computer.

I also bought a new keyboard membrane for my old Sinclair Spectrum. I dug it out the other day (too much spare time ), and found that some of the keys didn't work.
And as I saw that I could replace the membrane for less than a tenner, I thought it would be worthwhile.
Better to have something that is working in the cupboard, than a bit of useless plastic just waiting for the tip.
You never know, it might be worth something one day.

Anyway I had it opened up this afternoon, and got it fixed and working.
Doubt I'll ever use it, but it took me back to when I first bought it in 1982.

Glad your Mum's boiler was easily fixed Mollie.

ETA: I forgot to say that I had one of the individual haggis this evening. Very nice, and plenty for one. I didn't have any swede, so had it with mashed potatoes and parsnip mash. Not bad at all.

Really have to get to bed.
Night. (-5 now)

Hi Emptybox.

It sounds pretty cold up there, not so bad here anyway.

Glad your tape unit is ok, best get the tapes onto a better media now really.

I miss my old BBC Micro, shouldn't have sold it really, bet they are still in use now, loved the software, superb code for the year.

I've got a couple of Haggis in the freezer so I can have one any-time.

One of my lads is staying here for a few days next week and he wants me to make some of my special curries.
That means getting Steak, either Rump or Sirloin and slicing it in thin strips and coating in flour and frying it then put it into the curry, of course the curry would have the mixed peppers, the onions and the mushrooms.
Hicky
Good evening all
Emptybox...
I am impressed that you got that old Sinclair working.    And your cassettes sounds like a good buy too. I think they used to make a lot of stuff better years ago. When my mom moved the removal men had trouble keeping her new wardrobe together (even though it was a wood one, the back was only plywood stuff, that fell partially off), but all her really old furniture held good and strong.

Snow again!  Back to looking all pretty, again then? It was cool here, but in the afternoon the sun was warm enough for me and the dog to sit out in the garden for over an hour, and I didn't need a coat. I got loads of washing dried too. However, it is nearly always too hot to sit out in the garden over the summer, don't like summer at all here in the south.
Glad you enjoyed your haggis, Emptybox.

Hicky
Glad you got out for a meal again. If it is buy one get one free, it would probably not cost more than if you bought and cooked it yourself. That should be a nice little ride out for you and your OH over Easter to go to your lads for his birthday.
Be carefull, you'll have your lad wanting to move back home for good, if you treat him to too much of your home cooking when he comes next week.

time to check what is on tv tonight...
M
Hi Mollie.

It's been lovely here today, cold though.
To cold to sit outside here.

Had mince and onions for tea, with chips, very tasty.

Going to B/Head tomorrow morning to the Market, need some saltfish for the weekend, makes lovely brekkies.

Need to get a standard cheap phone as well, must have thrown all the old ones out.
Just need it to plug in to test the line for noise, I've just got 4 wireless ones now.
The broadband isn't too good, think the line may be faulty, had an awful job tonight to get back on line, it started when my O/H couldn't get on with her Lappy.
It says I'm on at 1Mbps now, which is pretty slow, but I just did a speed test and it's fine, 6.7Mbps, which is fine.
Hicky
Evening Hicky and Mollie.

Aye. They don't make 'em like they used to.
Furniture, or anything else really.

It's not so cold tonight. 3 degrees at the mo. Think there's rain forecast for tomorrow, so it should shift the snow.

Yeah, it's always a good idea to have a simple plug-in phone handy.
We get a lot of power cuts, and wireless phones are no good then.

Hope you can get your broadband sorted Hicky.
I've been having some computing woes as well.

I keep having to reboot my router because my computers keep losing the signal from it. Even the one connected by ethernet cable. Not sure what the cause is yet?

Also my main computer (the one i built myself,) seems to be overheating.
I had it stripped down today, and i think the problem is that the CPU heatsink fan sometimes cuts out or goes slower than it should, so the CPU heats up.
While I was inside the case I blew out all the dust. Also I took off the CPU heatsink and replaced the thermal paste just to be sure.

At the mo I'm running it with the side of the case off, and I've installed 'Speedfan' to keep an eye on the temperatures.
When the fan stops the temp of the CPU quickly rises to over 80 degrees C and everything becomes sluggish, and the computer eventually crashes.
The fan still works, and when it stops, a blow on it seems to start it up, but I think it would be better to get another one.
Otherwise I'd have to keep the case open.

My other computer seems to be having problems with the graphics card crashing. I had that open as well and blew the dust out, so hopefully that should help it.

I can see me having to update my kit soon.
Mind you, the spec of mine are about 5 years out of date now anyway.

ETA: I just ordered a new fan on ebay. ÂĢ2 from Hong Kong.
Cheapskate I hear you cry.
I could have bought a new heatsink and fan combo for under ÂĢ10, but I don't want to replace the heatsink because I've just renewed the thermal paste, and it's just a bit of metal after all, so there's nothing to go wrong. Also, I shall be wanting to upgrade the computer in a year or so anyway, so don't want to spend more than I need at this stage.

And even if it turns out not to work, I haven't lost much.

Hi Emptybox.

It's a Beautiful day here today anyway.

You might be having the same trouble as me, if the line isn't too good I think it cuts down the connection speed to your isp, then your problems begin.
I often have a good connection to the Router/Modem but have to reboot to try and get a better connection to BT.

Got to get a phone though to check the line out.
I had put some to one side to keep when we had a clear out, but you can guess what happened.

If your fan stops with an AMD I would think it blows straight away, they used to anyway.
But the fan needs replacing quick if it stops.
The heatsink just needs cleaning.

I've been out to Birkenhead for my Saltfish, got a crab and couple of Trout, and a couple of sardines, a rack of bacon ribs and a couple of black puddings.

One of my SIL's went into Hospital Tuesday, had a new Knee fitted Wednesday and O/H has gone this morning to take her home.
She is a tough one, didn't want to stay i the Hospital and lives in a bungalow so she hasn't got stairs to worry about.
She was up and showered and dressed early this morning and walking round, she won't even use a walking stick like the others.
Hicky
Good evening all
Emptybox
sorry to hear you are having all thes pc problems.
But what a bargain your fan was.
Has all your snow gone now?
Had another sunny day here today, so got the washing dry, and had another quick sit out in the sun. Good way to get my vitamin D.

Hicky
Glad you got the sunshine today too.
OH says we don't have a very good connection speed here either.
Hope you enjoy your food you got from Birkenhead.

Your SIL sounds like a tough cookie.   Good for her wanting to get out of that hospital as soon as she can.

My friend came over today, she is a home carer for her mother, hard work it is too, but a council worker came today, so my friend likes to stay out as long as she can. She enjoys coming over. because I make her fave cheese and tomatoes on toast for brekkie.
Daughter made us pancakes today, because it is pancake day soon.
Me and OH went swimming today.

Goodnight all
M
Good evening all
It has been another lovely winters day today, and I got loads of washing dry.
Went to Asda for brekkie, and took daughter to shops because she needed some new clothes. Son came, but moaned because we were too long in the clothes shop.  He only wanted to go to the games shops. I got some new silver thread boots, I only paid ÂĢ3 for them. They had 2 poms poms on each boot, so I guess that is why they got reduced to ÂĢ3.   I liked them though.

Hicky
glad to hear you are enjoying your fish.
have the family been to visit today?
Thanks for the video , those twins are so popular. I must admit I do like them, they are just so happy go lucky and eccentric.

Emptybox
has your snow gone now?  How are you finding that new supermarket?  Do they sell blueberries?  I made some of my fave blueberry crumble today, and ate it with some vanilla custard. Yummy.

Did you watch that "So you think you can dance?".. what a shame for the finalist that got the injury, he must of been devasted to miss out on the final after he had fought so hard to get a place.

Goodnight all.
M
Evening guys.

The supermarket Mollie? Plus ca change.
They have different own brand stuff (Heritage), but apart from that, everything is in the same place, and I can't see anything new. No blueberries.
Might be slightly more expensive, but not by much?
Ah well!

Not bad weather here today. Sunny first thing, then it clouded over, and a bit of rain this afternoon. All the snow away again, but it's freezing again tonight.

Those boots sound a bargain as well Mollie. Even with the pom poms.

I've decided not to use the PC that was overheating in the mean time. I was trying to use it on Thursday night with a household fan blowing in from outside the case, but it was still getting up into the 70 degrees C, which is too hot. Hopefully the processor hasn't been damaged. It's an intel P4, so supposed to be more robust than the AMD ones.

I watched a wee bit of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics.
I was setting up a TV card in my old Dell in the Dining room, and watched it on that while I was testing it.

I've lost a bit of patience with Linux at the moment.
I bought this TV card specifically to use with Linux, because the wiki says it is one that Linux supports. I was hoping to have a play around with MythTV, which is Linux' answer to Media Center.
Could I get the blasted card to work with MythTV?
I also tried another TV application in Ubuntu, and that didn't work either. They both misidentified the card, and I think, used the wrong driver for it.
If it had been Windows I could have tried another driver, but Linux doesn't work that way.

Anyway I switched to Windows XP, on the same machine, and downloaded the software for the card, and it worked straight away. So Linux had it's chance, but it blew it.

The only problem is that it is an old PC, and XP runs very slowly on it, but I spent this afternoon Uninstalling anything that wasn't needed, and generally taking it back to the basics, so it's running a bit faster now.
It'll do as a backup TV recorder if I'm already recording something on this one (in the back bedroom).

Anyway. I've been having some fun. However I should have been getting on with hoovering, ironing etc. Perhaps I'll find time for that stuff tomorrow?
emptybox
Good Evening Everyone.

Not too bad here today, very damp but not too cold only early on when O/H went out, her car was icy.

Had one of my Lads here last night with 3 little ones, it cuts down my posting a bit, hard to see the screen with 2 girls either on my knee or shoulder or on the desk.
Plus they like pressing buttons and messing about.

Went to B&Q and got Burgers while I was there, yummy.

Have recorded some stuff while the little ones where here so I can see it again sometime.
They have gone now anyway, went up to see another of my Lads for a cuppa and see his little ones.

Been watching the Dancing and the Ice skating.

Some good skaters, doing well.

Work in the morning for a change.

Lads don't like wandering through clothes shops Mollie, a good price for your boots though.

It was bad luck for that dancer that injured his shoulder, it's so easy to get hurt.

I noticed that Sharron was having trouble with lifting one of her arms, the damage she has done with all that swimming has taken it's toll.

People don't realise that these intense activities have a downside later in life, your body only lasts if you use it as intended, if you over tax it you will wear it out premature.

Your having some fun with the old computer, has it got enough memory, or maybe not enough slots for more.
Hicky
Hi Hicky.
Good job you don't get tired of all the little ones. There seems to be an endless supply at your end?

Bit dull today, but dry. Think they are still forecasting rain for tomorrow.
Begining to think I might struggle to get through the work I have, before Spring.

I've only got a little work in the Winter, so I've usually got it done by now, but this year has been different.

Yeah Hicky. It's the memory that is the weak point in that old computer. The motherboard will only take 512MB 0f 125MHz SD RAM, and that's not really enough to run XP with Service pack 3 installed. I often see the memory usage go up to nearly 100%, then it starts to use the hard drive as virtual memory and everything slows to a crawl. Can't be upgraded further unfortunately.
Runs very smoothly on LInux though, which needs less RAM, but smoothness isn't everything, if you can't get it to do what you want.

Haven't watched the Dancing on Ice at all this year.
Watched a bit of the Antique's Roadshow, then Larkrise to Candleford, then some of the David Dimbleby programme about the Tudors.

Also been buying some more stuff on ebay.
I'm going to set up a little music system in the diningroom, and have been bidding for separates. I've bought a Denon AM/FM Tuner for  ÂĢ15 so far, so need an amplifier and speakers. I've already got a CD deck that I bought a few years ago.

At the moment there is only a 40 year old cassette radio system in there, and the cassette on that doesn't work.

You might think it sounds like I am obsessed with buying all this stuff off ebay (you'd probably be right ), but my thinking is that it's better to get this stuff bought at this time of year, when there's a fair chance of me being in to accept deliveries, than wait till the summer when there's no chance.
That's my excuse anyway.
emptybox
Good evening all
Emptybox
Gosh what a kuffuffle you are having with all your techy gadgets. Hope you can sort them all out. Don't blame you buying stuff now whilst you are at home for deliveries, plus have the time to mess with them. I don't suppose moving your desk and pc into the garden would be a possilbe answer to your overheating?
I havent seen the Olympics, but did enjoy Dancing on Ice. Hayley was my fave this week.

Hicky
Sounds like you have busy with all the visitors.   Whilst littlies are cute and funny at times, I am sure they must be a bit tiring for you by the time they go home. Glad you enjoyed your B and Q burger, did your OH and the littlies have one too?

Interesting what you say about intense activities can damage the body. Yes I think sports professionals often have problems later. I am trying to build up my exercise, so I can eat more and not put weight on.   But with it only being walking a bit further with the dog, or easy swimming strokes, hopefully, I don't think I am likely to cause undue wear and tear to my body from it.

But as for Valentines cards.... well, mine needed a safety warning.
OH gave me a Valentine card and some chocs today. But  I got a paper cut opening the card, then tonight noticed my finger was red and swelling, so I thought "those pesky bugs biting again", so I put vinegar on it.
ooouuuccchh!!  I then remembered the paper cut, and I had just put vinegar on it. So I quickly washed it, and put a plaster on it, and it is ok now.

It has been another lovely sunny day here today, so we walked on the seafront with the dog when we took son to youth theatre. There was loads of people walking down the seafront and enjoying the sun today.
I have been swimming too today, so have just treated myself to a toffee hot cross bun, because they were reduced in tescos.

Goodnight all

Good Morning Everyone.

Think it's time your old Puters stood down Emptybox., and hand over to a younger Model.

Without the memory you don't stand a chance.

You sound system should be good when it's done anyway, I'm not into music to that extent.

I hate paper cuts, poor you, and it's such a clean cut but infection can get in.

I didn't have the little ones with me at B&Q, just my O/H they were with their Dad.

I think normal exercise isn't too bad, but when you are doing the amount of training these gymnasts and swimmers etc do, which is so many miles a day it then takes it's toll, Sharon has born out her shoulder socket, probably with doing the Fly stroke etc, the strain is awful.

I had a Banoffee Desert, so nice.

Good evening all
Hope you have all had a good day.
It wasn't a bad day here today, seems a lot milder lately.

Emptybox
how has your pc sorting gone today?

Hicky
I love banoffee desert.   Did you make it, or buy it?
I had a spicy bean buger with mushrooms ,sweet potato, mash, peas and sweetcorn for dinner. And some more of my blueberry crumble and custard for afters. Shame you can't get blueberries there Emptybox. Have you looked to see if they have any frozen ones?
Was it a work day today, Hicky?

At least there is some ok tv to watch tonight. I will watch 2 Corries, then Paul Merton in Europe.

Hi Mollie.

I bought the Banoffee desert from Sainsbury's, very sickly though.

Your dinner sounded nice, we had a steak pie with pea's sweetcorn and new potato's.

Watching Paul Merton now.

I'b been doing a bit of tweeting today, sent one to Aislyne, Chanelle, Chantelle, Perez Hilton, Danni Minogue, Davina, and a few others.

Evening.

Are you on Twitter Hicky?
Must admit I haven't got into that yet.
I check on Chanelle's and Aisleyne's somtimes, but I haven't got an account.

Hope you were polite to Ashy?
She was on bridesmaids duty at the weekend, when Pete Bennett got married to his girlfriend.

Been wet here today, but I see the temp is down to zero again, and there's snow forecast for tomorrow.

I had roast chicken with potatoes, green beans and gravy, followed by a strawberry cheescake.
I hear that blueberries are very good for you, so I'm determined to try some, but I think I'll have to go further afield than the local supermarket.

Haven't been fiddling with computers today. Just waiting for the part to come for my other one.
I did buy an amplifier on ebay though, and am following some speakers.

I was just watching Casualty. Not sure there's much else on?

Your teas sounded nice tonight.
I like reading about what you've had, gives me some ideas. Haven't had green beans for a while, will have to get some.
snow again Emptybox.
I reckon that they should of held the winter olympics up by you, because they didn't have enough snow where they are now in Cananda.

Sounds like you have been busy twittering Hicky. I am not on  twitter or that facebook thing, sounds a bit too techy to me.
I reckon that of course Hicky will be polite on twitter Emptybox...he  always is polite. (like you are too).

I didn't watch casualty, but watched Paul Merton, I like his show.

goodnight all xx
M
