Evening.
Is it another double eviction? I thought it was just one out?
Anyway, for me, it has to be Stephen.

A dull, windy, cold day here.

Glad you got the abcess drained Hicky.
I've had one of those, and it wasn't nice. Course they can't tackle the tooth till it's sorted.

Your haircut reminds me I'll have to give mine a buzz over. The beard is getting a bit bushy.

Good luck in tackling those tootsies.
My Dad used to go to a chiropedist, but I'm not sure if it was on the NHS or not?
Actually, thinking about it, I think it must have been, because he had diabetes, and had to be really careful with his feet as a result.

Hope your daughter has an easier night tonight Mollie.
emptybox
Good Morning Everyone.

Hi Emptybox.

It's always been a double eviction tonight.
It will be Stephen & Ivana going.

My tooth seems ok anyway, have done some rinsing it with a mouthful of salt water as he said.

Went and bought some more more of the big pork sausages I got the other day, they were lovely and my O/H loved them as well.

Got some more Black pudding. the horseshoe ones that you boil, they are so nice.

Went for an appointment with the Chiropodist, it's too hard for me to do my toe nails anymore, mind you it was ÂĢ25 but had no option.

I'll have to register with the NHS one, but there's a queue anyway and they only do 2 trims a year free.
I'll look into it though.

My feet are quite good really, never had a problem with them.

Simon Cowell stopped Jedward appearing on Celebrity Big Brother

TV LAND Telly news & gossip

Jedward [Pic: Splash News)

Jedward reminded everyone in spectacular fashion just how entertaining they can be at the National TV Awards on Wednesday night...

So it's interesting to hear that viewers could have been seeing a lot more of them - if it wasn't for Simon Cowell.

It turns out the boys had been lined up as contestants on C4's Celebrity Big Brother and everyone thought it was a great idea, including their mentor Louis Walsh.

But at the last moment, Simon pulled the plug.

"We were going to have them in the house for the first week, because they had other commitments," my spy moans.

"The boys were keen and so was Louis, but Cowell put his foot down.

"He may have berated them for weeks on The X Factor but when it came to them appearing on C4, he said: 'They belong to us'."

Shame, it would have been nice (nice, baby).

Hicky
Good afternoon all
Hicky
Glad you got the toenails sorted, shame you had to pay though because of the queues.
Good job the tooth isn't playing you up.
Sounds like you and OH enjoyed your brekkies today.
That would of been funny with those twins in the CBB house.

Emptybox..
was it a work day for you today?
It was very mild here today, in fact, I sat out in the garden this afternoon to catch some vitamin D from the sun (I need it after this awful cold i've had), and it was so warm, I didn't need a coat.

Yes Hicky, probably Steven and Ivana will go tonight.
Shame because even though Steven is annnoying, he makes for an interesting HM.

Daughter's cough a bit better today than it was, thank goodness.
M
Hi Mollie.

Feet are ok now for a bit, tooth has settled, got to sort my Passport out and my Car tax next.
Always something needs doing.

At least the Wheelie bins have been emptied at last.

It will be interesting to see what Stephen and Ivana say tonight when they leave.

Vinnie has convinced them all he is going to win, that was from before he even got in the house. So they hadn't been kept from the news etc, they had all been reading the papers.
Hicky
Evening all.

Glad you got your feet sorted Hicky.

It was quite mild here as well, but windy and spitting with rain.
I didn't work, but got out to do my weekly shop.

The snow is finally away, except for the odd piles, and the ice is more or less away from the drive as well, so I'll get some work done next week hopefully.

I don't see why they are having another double eviction?
As far as I'm concerned they can throw Stephen out, put him back in, and throw him out a-bleedin'-gain.

TBH I'm glad we didn't get those Jedward twins in.

Glad your daughter had a better night Mollie.

Our supermarket in Kelso is in for a change in the next couple of weeks.
At the moment it's a Somerfield, but it's going to change to a Haldanes. Don't know if that'll be good or bad, but means I'll have to relearn where everything is.

We are also supposed to be getting a large Sainsburys in the town, but that's years away.
emptybox
Hi Emptybox.

I was going to put my best foot forward, but none are much good.

Mild and trying to rain, very calm though.

It's going to be strange going back to work for you, it seems quite a time doesn't it?
If they have a double eviction it saves them having 2 which is twice the cost.
It's all down to money, the winners money goes to charity, so they don't care who wins.

They move the stuff in the Aisles round all the time anyway, just learn what is in which aisle and it usually malked anyway.
Should be good if you get a Sainsbury's though.

Well, eviction in a more minutes. Yipppppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeee.

Celebrity Big Brother 2010: Housemates take on flat packing challenge

For today’s task, Housemates will take part in a Swedish-themed flat pack challenge.

They will divide themselves into two teams of 4 with one team assembling a corner workstation complete with chair and the other team a storage combination unit. Both teams will have 45 minutes to collectively assemble both items of furniture.

Housemates split themselves into the following two groups:

Group One
” Vinnie
” Stephen
” Sisqo
” Stephanie
Group Two
” Ivana
” Alex
” Dane
” Nicola T

As Jonas is Swedish and should excel in this activity, he will act as project manager and will therefore be the only Housemate allowed to read or look at the assembly instructions, so must direct both teams throughout the construction. If Housemates successfully pass the challenge, they will receive a special Swedish-themed reward.

Howeverâ€Ķ

What the Housemates don’t know is that Big Brother has instructed Jonas to secretly sabotage the task by ensuring that at least one of the pieces of furniture remains incomplete when the 45 minutes is up. If both pieces of furniture are made within the time, then the Housemates will not receive their reward.

Hicky
Hi Hicky.
Yes, I think it was the week before Christmas when I did my last bit of paid work.

It's always quiet in the winter, but i don't usually get all this time off at once.

I think a Sainsburys will be good. Or any large supermarket really.

I was in Morrisons in Hawick the other week (when i was at the dentist) and it is a much bigger shop with much more choice. They even had blueberries.
And a cafe as well. But it's a bit too far to go every week.
emptybox
Gutted Sisqo went, i'm having bad luck with BB again.. first Katia, then Sov and now Sisqo. Liked Stephen towards the end he's nuts and I don't like the preaching but he's kind hearted. I hope Jonas wins but I cba to watch the rest.

Most of the evicted housemates have all been big characters and now we're left with bores deadwood and followers so it's Celebrity Big Brother Vinnie Jones and co.
darloboy (Play The Game!)
Good Morning Darloboy.

Just can't see how Sisqo went, some strange goings on I think.

Someone must have taken over the phone lines, he wasn't in the running all week, he was miles away.
Which means that someone with a lot of money on the Stephen/Sisqo paired odds somehow reversed a weeks votes and saved Ivana, very odd.

I can't see Jonas getting very far, he's just in the middle somewhere.

You know all the big great characters get voted out early, they always do.

We are left with the Vinnie Jones show.
Hicky
Good morning all
It is a lovely sunny morning here, hope it is where you are too.

Emptybox...
glad you can manage to get out and about now the snow has cleared again. I have never heard of Heldanes supermarket, hope they prove ok for you when the other one closes. I like Sainsburys quality of food, and often get it delivered with them now. Could you not get yours delivered?  I get free delivery from Sainsburys if we spend over ÂĢ100, which is easy for us to do with there being 5 of us, plus my moms food to get.
It was chilly here again this morning, we had a frost, but dont mind that because it means the sun is out now, and my washing is drying nicely.  Hope you manage to get back to work next week.

Hicky
thanks for the CBB news, that task sounds funny.   I thought the cake on Stephs head was so funny last nignt, the way they put it together.

Yes, shame Sisco went, now Vinnie has full control in there. Haven't liked him from the beginning, don't know why he is so popular. Bossy and domineering, gossips about others, but cant take it himself, and he has a zero sense of humour.

What are you up to today Hicky?  Are the family coming to visit?

Darloboy
hope you are having a good weekend. Shame your faves have left CBB. I think there are a lot of dullards left on the Vinnie show now.   Although, apart from Vinnie,  I don't find them diselikable.

Hope you all have a good Saturday.
off to peg out a bit more washing.
M
Hi Mollie.

An easy day for me today.
Ice cream van just stopped outside the house, just had a nice cone with a flake and sauce etc.
He has been coming all through the winter.

One of my Lads has just got engaged, think he wants to get married later in the summer.
So that has got my O/H all excited now.

My O/H has gone to see her sister over the water, about an hour away, it maybe her Birthday.
Hicky
Well, I've just had a quick steak roll, and have got a Lobster for tea, O/H brought a couple back, her sister gave them to her.
You don't get a lot of them, but when you haven't got any crab then I suppose Lobster will have to do.

Not much on TV tonight, i've been watching all sorts today, just watching Top gear for now.
Hicky
Hicky
Glad to hear you had an  easy day, and enjoyed your ice-cream
How lovely to have a family wedding coming up this summer. No wonder your OH is excited.
That was nice of your OH's sister to supply you with dinner for tonight.

Yes, not much on tv tonight, I watched that dancing show on bbc1, then just waited to watch CBB.

Hope you have had a good day Emptybox.

goodnight all
M
Good morning all
Hope you are all having a good weekend.
another lovely sunny and frosty morning here today.

Hicky
thanks for the Stacy video, will go and watch it now.

on radio Wales this morning I heard an item about BB. They were having interviews for the summer one in Cardiff yesterday. Hundreds queued, Glyn and Rachel turned up to offer support. The 1st would be HM they spoke to said "I wanna be a page 3 girl"...(not very original then).. next one said they were fun and very loud...(for a change) .. , , one was a great grandma from Barry age 64, and they said one reckons he was Merlin the magiciian.
let's hope they select an interesting mix for this year.
but of course, if we get no livefeed, we dont really get to know them anyway.

Hope Emptybox is not too bogged down with work, we didn't see him yesterday.

Brekkie time for me.
think I'll have  a toasted bagel for a change.
M
Afternoon.
Thanks for that Stacey video Hicky.
Usual rubbish club sound, but her singing shone through.

Had a bit of snow this morning, but it's mostly been raining the last couple of days.

Been rearranging some of my furniture.
I brought my main stereo system downstairs to the lounge, as that's where I mostly listen to music now. Quite heavy it was, but i managed to bump it down the stairs.
Had to get rid of a cradle thing that held a couple of big plants to make room for it.
They'll have to take their chance in the greenhouse.

I also moved my old Dell computer down to the dining room, so I can listen to the music stored in the computer hard drives in that room.
And i moved the small music system, I had in the lounge, to my bedroom. So I'm all wired for sound now, except in the bathroom....

I might still do some more rearranging in the small bedroom (that used to be mine), now I've taken the main stereo out of there. It's left a gap, and I've only got the computer speakers in there to listen to music.  More thinking to do.

I saw that about Rachel at the Cardiff auditions here Mollie.
She newly got engaged to her long term boyfriend Richard, as well.

Not sure why you are surprised that Sisqo went, rather than Ivana, Hicky?
I never found him particularly entertaining?

Emptybox
sounds like you have been busy re-arranging rooms and furniture.
Hope the new set up suits you well now.

I like Ivana, and am glad she stayed. She doesn't seem to moan, and mucks in with the washing up and tasks, and she has a laugh too.
And at least she had the guts to tell Vinnie that he had ignored her for the first 3 days. Most of the HM's are just scared to say "boo" to bossy Vinnie.
And I like Stephanie too, she is just having a laugh, and joins in well.
That's nice that Rachel is engaged now.
Did you just read about her in Cardiff or did you see any pics?

Hicky
Sounds like you enjoyed your brekkie then.
Have you got any visitors today?
I am making a turkey roast dinner. The butter basted turkey breast joint was on offer in Sainsburys this week. I am having the veg with Quorn mince pie. i like that.
And our fave blueberry crumble for desert.
off to finish off the cooking now.
M
Hi Emptybox and Mollie.

It's just rain here Emptybox, no sign of snow.
Sounds like your having fun moving your gear around, but you might as well have it where it suits you best.

I didn't think Sisqo would go, because I couldn't imagine anyone voting to keep Ivana in.

Had a few visitors today, was entertaining a little one, great fu though.

Your Turkey dinner sounds nice Mollie, and the veg and Quorn mince pie, the blueberry crumble sounds good at all.

Not sure whats for tea, but I see a stuffed roll of lamb in the fridge
Hicky
Hicky
Glad to hear you had the little ones over today.
Now you've spied it in the fridge, sounds like it could be stuffed roll of lamb for tea tonight for you then.

Your assumption about Ivana not getting many to vote for her to stay might of been right, because she didn't need anyone to vote for her to stay, to enable her to stay, because it was a vote to evict. But perhaps Stephen and Sisqo had done more to irirtate the public, so more voted to evict those 2 to go. I don't think Ivana has done much to annoy the public, she seems inoffensive.

Dancing on Ice is on for a long time tonight.
I will need to make use of Sky+ to fit it in with CBB tonight.
Nice to have plenty to watch though.
M
Hi Mollie and Hicky.

No, I didn't see any pics of Rachel in Cardiff, it was just a news report.

Seems we are in for mild weather next week, but with the cold back by next weekend.

I'm having a casserole for supper. I had half of it on Thursday, so I'll finish it off tonight.

I see BB on at 8pm tonight, where it clashes with Larkrise to Candleford.
But at least I'll be able to watch that Only Fools and Horses prequel on BBC1 at 9pm.
emptybox
Hi Mollie & Emptybox.

Been watching DOI, now watching CBB.

Found out the stuffed Lamp roll isn't stuffed, it's just a roll.
It's Probably for tomorrow, just had some soup and some Breaded prawns.

I would expect Ivana to be first out.

I thought the DOI was good, Heather Mills was amazing, even Torvil and Dean are amazed what she can do, she was really good.
But don't understand why her false leg is so heavy.

You need to eat that Casserole Emptybox, if you aren't going to eat it within 24 hours you should really freeze it the same day you make it.

As it isn't kept in a vacuum pack container in the fridge you don't have very long to eat it.
Hicky
Emptybox
hope you enjoyed your casserole.
I wonder if we will get more cold weather?  I think we probably will, because we still have a lot of winter left to go.
Yes CBB was on very early tonight. I watched some of that Fools and Horses thing, but got bored with it. Did it end up being any good?

Hicky..
what a shame your stuffed lamb, wasnt stuffed lamb after all. Hope you enjoyed the soup and prawns though.

think I will go to bed to read one of my books now.
I had 3 books for Christmas...Gok Won so I can work my wardrobe, a biography of a dj I like on Radio Wales, and JLS's book.   My kids chose them all for me and I am enjoying them.

OH has to go about a job tommorrow, he has to do a 100 mile round trip, but at least it is a job. It may not be any good, but worth a try.

Goodnight all
M
Good Morning Mollie.

I'm at work, been rather busy, but eased off a bit now.

CBB is hardly worth watching now, still enjpy Nicola, but not bothered about the others, Dane is OK, those 2 get on well.

Hope you O/H has some luck with the Job, it's quite a way though, that would cost a few bob just to get there, if thats where the work is.

It was just a bit damp here, but not very cold, think the cold is coming back though, it's usually when the wind direction changes.

I thought Nicola did well with the tree task, so nice to see her little girl, that will keep her going.

Fake Award For Celebrity Big Brother's Ivana Trump

By Marion McMullen on Jan 25, 10 01:52 PM

ivana-trump-pic-channel-4-pa-672173396.jpgCELEBRITY Big Brother housemate Ivana Trump has been duped into thinking she has won a fake award.

The socialite ex-wife of American business mogul Donald Trump was called to the Diary Room this morning and told by Big Brother that she has been nominated for the Best International Businesswoman On A Reality TV show award by the readers of Scandinavian magazine Kugel Fresh, and must prepare an acceptance speech to give via satellite in English, German and Czech.

Meanwhile, the other celebrity housemates were gathered on the sofas and informed by Big Brother that the ceremony is fake, but they must convince Ivana it is genuine in order to pass their task and win an awards party.

Once Ivana has made her speech, the housemates also have the task of telling her the award looks stupid, attempting to drink from it, and breaking the trophy, all without her suspecting anything.

Former Olympic skiing champion Ivana, aged 60, has asked the other housemates to help her with her speech.

The Czech celebrity will give the speech from the Diary Room and the other housemates will watch on a screen in the living room.

The other celebrities congratulated her on the award win in the bedroom.

As she went for a shower to get ready for her appearance at the awards, footballer turned actor Vinnie Jones told actress Stephanie Beacham: "Dane thinks they're going to keep giving us things to do so let's just leave it now. That was a bit over the top."

Stephanie said: "It's not more than I usually would have done, if it had been real."

Celebrity Big Brother’s Nicola T to release single with Coolio

Page 3 girl Nicola T has her sights set on pop stardom when she leaves the house- and it should be a match made in reality TV heaven.

25 January 2010 17:45 PM

152887 Celebrity Big Brother’s Nicola T to release single with Coolio

According to The Sun newspaper, glamourpuss Page 3 girl Nicola T ( real name Nicola Tappenden) will team up with Grammy award winning rapper Coolio for her debut single, Drunk, after she exits the show

While other artists might shy away from working with a reality TV star, Coolio, who shot to fame with 1995 hit Gangsta’s paradise should have no such hang ups.

Coolio  won US reality show Celebrity Boot Camp back in 2002. He also appeared in the UK on Celebrity Big Brother last year, where he came third behind second placed TV presenter Terry Christian and winner, Ulrika Johnson.

The single Drunk is said to be a Black Eyed peas/ Timbaland influenced number . The track was written by Jud Mahoney and will be released in March.

Nicola has laready outsripped fellow Page 3 girl who became the first celebrity to be evicted from the hosue in the 2009 series. The Croydon glamour model has laready survived eviction after being nominated alongside grime rapper Lady Sovereign.

Speaking before she joined the Channel 4 reality show, Nicola said: "I've been a fan of Coolio for years and I very feel privileged that he's agreed to team up with me for this single.

"Jud Mahoney has worked with many big-name artists such as Mario Winans, Tyrese, Liberty X, Eamon, K-CI & JoJo and Michael Jackson, so it's a huge honour that he wrote and co-sings this track with me."

She added: "I'm really excited about the single - it's credible and a fantastic, funky feel-good song!
Hicky
Evening.

Is that work messing you around again?
Hope the dentist isn't too severe.

I enjoyed the casserole last night. Think it was my best so far. Perhaps I'm getting the hang of it?
I think it should last fine for 2 or 3 days in the fridge Hicky? As long as you heat it up properly again?
If you were going to freeze it, then you should do it within 24hrs of making it, but I think it's OK if you are just going to eat it.

Nicola to record with Coolio eh? I'm sure the Sun has inside knowledge of this.

Hi Mollie
Hope your OH got on OK with the job (interview?). It's a long way to commute every day.

Good evening all

Hicky..
sounds like it was a busy work day for you today.
I hope the dentist visit goes ok tommorrow. Shame you moved it because of work, then had to go to work again. Thanks for the news items about CBB and Stacey. Nicola and Coolio? I didn't know Nicola was a singer.

I am still enjoying CBB. There are quite a few left who I like. Ivana is much nicer than I imagined she would be, and Alex too. I still like Steph and Nicola too.

Emptybox
Glad you enjoyed your casserole, yes I am sure it is ok to keep it a few days in the fridge as long as it is boiling hot when you reheat it.
Is it getting colder there yet?  it is getting cooler here, I think it is below freezing tonight.

OH had some sort of test/interview thing today, yes it is a long way to travel, but being a contractor, unfortunately if he can't get a local contract, especially whilst jobs are in such supply as now, he has to stay away in the week. He said todays was only an hours drive, so he will be able to come home if he got that one. And at least he can claim mileage through the business for short contracts.
He has been getting a lot of job calls now, but most of the others jobs that are going through, he'd have to stay away in the week, which I don't like. But I guess he has to go where the work is.

Goodnight all.
hope you aren't too busy tommorrow at work Hicky.
M
Hi Emptybox & Mollie.

Have been a bit busy at work.

Went to the Dentist, he looked at them found I need a filling, said the tooth looked ok that I went for him to see the other day, doesn't think it needs to come out, said come back Friday, charged me ÂĢ45 but don't know if that covers the work Friday or not.

Will get back to you later of tonight.

Celebrity Big Brother - day twenty-two

Vinnie Jones and Ivana Trump
  • Posted at 1:57pm
  • 26 January 2010
  • by PaulJones-RT

As if being banged up in a compound together wasn't enough, yesterday the housemates were subjected to the ultimate "bonding" (read: bondage) experience - being chained to one another.

While Stephanie was unable to escape Nicola and Jonas's slew of toilet humour, Alex and Dane strolled happily around the house, like a lovely gay couple going for a walk in the park.

Meanwhile, Vinnie was manacled to Ivana, the one person in the house we know he can't stand. He's always having a go at Alex for saying things that get him into trouble, so you'd think Vinnie would know better than to confess that particular pet hate to Big Brother.

But then, Vinnie is developing a bit of a big mouth. During a round of verbal sparring with Alex, he boasted, "I've got more votes in my little finger than you have put together", and while that may have been a bit tongue in cheek, many a true wordâ€Ķ

I have to admit, I'd like to see the look on Vinnie's face if Davina called his name before the end. I think the others might split the vote, but as an antidote to his fame-obsessed housemates, Jonas could be the one to challenge Vinnie.

Over the weekend we heard Jonas tell Big Brother that he'd been feeling a bit lonely. As the youngest in the house, and one of only two non-Brits, it's easy to see why. So it was nice - if surprising - that Dane, the Keeper of the Key, chose Jonas to share his latest secret trick or treat.

Jonas was really excited. He even trimmed his eyebrows especially for the occasion (must be a Swedish thing).

The boys then had to wait for the others to fall asleep before they could make their move - not too difficult, since they've all taken to going to bed around 10:00pm.

By the time they pushed open the ivy-clad secret door in the garden and stepped into the ethereal blue light, I was stupidly excited. Were they entering heaven - or some fresh hell?

I think if you asked Jonas to describe his heaven, this would have been it: pizza, beer and video games (though not necessarily in that order). OK, he might have added Kat to the list, but he was sharing the experience with Dane (then again, Dane "fivesome" Bowers would probably have been up for it).

After a long night of bliss, Jonas went to bed doubly happy: not only did he get to play video games, but someone in the house was nice to him! It's a much-needed boost for his confidence, yet it does make me wonder about Dane. Why did he choose Jonas? Should I reassess him? Or did he have an ulterior motive?

What do you think? Post a comment and let me know.

Hicky
Hicky
Glad to hear it sounds like that tooth doesn't need to come out.
I think ÂĢ45 is the standard charge for if you need any amount of filling type treatment, so hopefully that should be all you need to pay.
Hope they don't overwork you today.
Thanks for the interesting CBB item.
Yes I too couldn't help but wonder why Dane chose Jonas? I thought he was more friendly with Nicola? Did BB tell him to chose as a fella, as it was aimed as a boys night in?

Not a bad day here today, cool, but we did get a bit of sun this afternoon. Went with OH to take the dog a walk to the post office this afternoon. Doggie didn't want to come home, she was having such a nice time sniffing the molehills.

Wonder if Emptbyox has been able to get out to do some work today?
M
Hi Mollie.

I'm still at work, been busy, sending negotiating docs to a German company we are quoting work to, but they want to keep reducing the prices, what a life.

We have a few blokes workinmg in the factory at the Mo, so I'm still here, not sure when we are going.

My Baked spud is in the oven anyway, that will get plenty of time to cook, it's fresh Salmon tonight.

Dane could have chosen anyone, not sure why he chose Jonas unless it was because he has been feeling low and lonely and a little depressed.

He appreciated it anyway, but I suppose any of them would have.

I'll have to call Vinnie the 'Silent Assasin', he is slowly moving around each HM and pulling them to pieces while in the company of others.
He is really pulling them down and making them feel very small.
Hicky

Well, I got home at 7.10pm, baked Pots had been done, but O/H ate them, put me some more in.

Couldn't find any sauce to go with the Salmon, so had Mild Peppercorn Sauce, it was lovely.

Just had some mixed fresh fruit, Blue berry's, Rasberry's and Strawberry's with a little Chantilly cream, yummy.

I've got 5 days off now anyway, go in Monday, that's not bad, still got the Dentist Friday, but it isn't till 11am.
