What a terrible year -

My Mum and Dad are lucky to be alive - thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses and our NHS.

I can't bring myself to say goodbye to close friend Paul who died aged just 29 in a car crash, leaving behind Nicola and two small children.

My sister is heading the same way as my Mum - she's had stomach and digestive problems for years and a major operation is surely on the horizon.

I quit my job to become a full time carer and now I ponder if I want to return to care work as a career - it's filled with nasty people and has to be experienced to be believed. Hmmm

My friend Karen, her Mum died aged just 56 of breast cancer. Karen is just 30

I shall be safe at home, just had G&T and olives ... hubby cooking a seafood stir fry, shall have a bit of a hootenany later ... bliss

I hope all my Gaga chums enjoy your evening as much as I shall enjoy mine xx
