Why are some fms Groupee Members and some not? It's an easy question, and I did ask it, but was fobbed off, like one fm said why does it matter, but it does matter when one is faced with 2 options in the registration box and you don't know the answer, and just opt for one.

I have done some research on it, and what I gleaned is that prior to the switch, if a fm becomes a Groupee member, you can log in to other sites without changing your logon info, and you can also retain your old profile and your post counts, which would be very beneficial to many fms.

I was a member of C4 BB General in June 2005, and in that year, Eve was renamed Groupee Community, which means I automatically became a groupee member just like the others, unless some fms are more Groupee members than others?

I was puzzled about it and why I asked the question, and thanks for a reply. Smiler

Hi Lori...Some fms in the Just Conversation forum have Groupee Member under their fm name in the avatar section of their post, and that puzzled me at the time.

Also when you first register, you're given 2 options, 1 being if you're a Groupee member, and 2, if you're not one. As I couldn't remember at the time I registered in the Not Groupee Member box.

Unless some fms use Groupee Member as an avatar, which could be possible, but if they don't tell us, then no way of knowing, see what I mean?

OK, you are referring to the board that you guys first came over on: http://support.evecommunity.com/eve
Those are our support forums, and we use a login system over there called the Groupee Network. That system is not used here. When you registered here, you were just asked if you had an account or not, not if you were a member of the Groupee Network.

Ok Lori, you cleared that one up nicely. Thumbs Up Have a cake, wrapped up in this box Present Hug Santa
