Em, I had an op to remove a brain tumour when I was 9 and then had a course of radiotherapy. The op semi paralysed my right side. It's hardly noticeable, but I never regained fully, the fine movement control of my right hand and wrist.

Thanks folks, it never really stopped me from doing all the normal childish things such as running, jumping, climbing, roller skating, ice skating, horse riding, etc.

The (nerve) damage caused by the radiotherapy didn't manifest itself until I was in my 40's - I now have some hearing and balance issues and why I use headphones to listen to the TV.
