my son never swears in front of us either - may slip out occasionally 
usually re football - I was the same with my mum and dad

You see, it's all in the parenting. I rarely swear in front of my mum, but when I do it's usually something a lot less offensive than f***.
I made a big effort never to swear in front of my niece and nephew, can't recall ever hearing them swear now they are young adults.
