I get offended if people think I'm from Edinburgh. Mind you I get offended when I meet English people who go "och aye the noo" when they hear me speak Big Grin

Yeah, I can see that. Or rather hear it!

I'm from Teesdale so my accent is a teeside/north yorkshire hybrid. Consequently, no-one can really tell where I'm from.

We have loads of different accents in the north east really.

your teesdale accent won't be so different from mine. (darlington). If I go up to Newcastle sometimes I can't understand them!! and we're only 30 miles away!
