doncaster isnt a city unfortunately, I am def swaying towards wells due to his liking for crossword style rather than general knowledge/facts. Thats why I think the answer to 29 and 30 will be more related to pronunciation or just a bad pun

Left = Port (of a ship)

opening = Mouth

and the S in the middle comes from the "first letter of September because it says "Left opening AROUND September 1st!

New member.  Was following and had thought about left opening as Portsmouth but see you have already reached same conclusion.  Unfortunately had to wait ages for email to sign on.

Sorry to harp on, but I thought Newry had been given as the answer to that 'drug' clue - maybe that was 2 days ago.

We can't let Clues 29 and 30 beat us - so far I've come up with Glasgow, Manchester, Derby, Worcester and Winchester as possible answers - none of which I can convince myself are correct - someone out there HELP!!

Think 30 is pretty much definitely Derby.

Narrowed 29 down to Manchester or Leicester.  Could be another Ely/Londonderry because both fit IMO.
